Just when they thought they had destroyed her for good comes this…
An epic Sarah Palin documentary will premiere next month… In Iowa.
Real Clear Politics reported last night on a new Sarah Palin film that will be releases next month in Iowa.
Shortly after Republicans swept last November to a historic victory in which Sarah Palin was credited with playing a central role, the former Alaska governor pulled aside her close aide, Rebecca Mansour, to discuss a hush-hush assignment: Reach out to conservative filmmaker Stephen K. Bannon with a request. Ask him if he would make a series of videos extolling Palin’s governorship and laying to rest lingering questions about her controversial decision to resign from office with a year-and-a-half left in her first term. It was this abdication, Palin knew, that had made her damaged goods in the eyes of some Republicans who once were eager to get behind her potential 2012 presidential campaign.
The response was more positive than Palin could have hoped for. He’d make a feature-length movie, Bannon told Mansour, and he insisted upon taking complete control and financing it himself — to the tune of $1 million.
The fruits of that initial conversation are now complete. The result is a two-hour-long, sweeping epic, a rough cut of which Bannon screened privately for Sarah and Todd Palin last Wednesday in Arizona, where Alaska’s most famous couple has been rumored to have purchased a new home. When it premieres in Iowa next month, the film is poised to serve as a galvanizing prelude to Palin’s prospective presidential campaign — an unconventional reintroduction to the nation that she and her political team have spent months eagerly anticipating, even as Beltway Republicans have largely concluded that she won’t run.
Bannon, a former naval officer and ex-Goldman Sachs banker, sees his documentary as the first step in Palin’s effort to rebuild her image in the eyes of voters who may have soured on her, yet might reconsider if old caricatures begin to fade. The film will also appeal to staunch Palin supporters who have long celebrated her biting rhetoric and conservative populism yet know little about her record in Alaska and have perhaps written her off as presidential material.
“This film is a call to action for a campaign like 1976: Reagan vs. the establishment,” Bannon told RealClearPolitics. “Let’s have a good old-fashioned brouhaha.”
RealClearPolitics was recently given an exclusive screening of a rough cut of the now finished film, which Bannon designed, in part, to help catapult Palin from the presidential afterthought she has become in the eyes of many pundits directly to the front lines of the 2012 GOP conversation.

Tactical genius. Yes the ninnies will enter the fray yapping about how such things are ‘beneath them’ and about her hair or her voice but the ninnies have absolutely no understanding of the vicious nature of the Left.
Back in 2003 Breitbart warned that Conservatives were losing the culture war-Palin heard the warning and developed ways to win.
(so much for Hollyidiot Tom Hanks production Game Change for his Helping Barack Obama channel-Palin just thwarted HBO and changed the rules of the game.)

Say it ain’t so. We, the little people, have no real candidates. All are chosen. You are a slave and don’t even know it.

Sarah Palin has again trumped the libs and the MSM. The movie is a brilliant move as is the showing of the film in Iowa. The MSM in their hatred will assure that the film is made famous.

I sure hope she runs. It is maddening the level of bland wimp none of the above selections the ” power brokers ” inside the DC establishment have pushed on us. They are hell bound on the same old same old or bust mentality.

Old Fan commented:
That is the sad aspect of Sarah’s existence. She needs the production of a film, cause the in person offering is lacking. It is a product of image, and slick productions are essential to get by. But in the end, this hurts all, as the actual offering flops in the form of debates, interviews, etc. The hype is a construction largely on mythic identity, romanticism, etc., and falls when confronted with reality. Just as ‘facebook’ posts with editing and help from aids, is far from serious political action.
We already have a scripted President who is an utter disaster, who won based on a fake ‘documentary’ production presented to the American Public.
The other side of it, the Fan Fare calling of others ‘power brokers’ suggests there is an “elite” class which implies rank populism and class warfare. It isn’t serious conservatism. Sarah is a multimillionaire, a reality tv producer, mega Celebrity, etc., hardly the average “Jane”. In fact, Mrs. Palin was THE GOP so-called establishment choice for VP. She was on the Maverick Ticket, the ultimate insider offering which was the most appeasing to the Democrats in GOP history. In fact, it was so awful, it was pushing Cap and Trade Taxation.
Mrs. Palin is a fine American, but the offering has been revealed to lack sincere substance, that is reality. Her abandoning the sworn oath in Alaska was devastating – it crushed her credibility far worse then some of the embarrassing moments in the last 2008 General Election.
Regretfully, instead of growing in serious terms of leadership, studying for the ambition – growing in development, Mrs. Palin went on to sell a Celebrity. Now Mrs. Palin’s chances of winning anything seriously in National Politics, is on the level of Mrs. O’Donnell who wasted an opportunity in Delaware.
The truth isn’t easy, but we cannot offer more hyped flops anymore, enabling the opposite.
Bill589 commented:
The fact that, after two years of battle and media attacks against her, she can still stand with the other presidential hopefuls is amazing.
The fact that she stands taller, is unflippinbelievable.
Sarah Palin 2012 Game On.
Bill589 commented:
Over the last couple of years, while others were planing on how to convince us that they have ample capability and fortitude, Sarah was showing us she has ample capability and fortitude.
And even while being attacked from both parties and media, who still attracted more people to events then even Obama?

Yes, I can see the truth really isn’t easy for you. Perhaps that is why you choose instead to wallow in falsehoods. You’re the prototypical “concern troll”, one who prefaces his/her/its disparaging remarks with obsequious pandering.
“Mrs. Palin is a fine American, BUT…
“Regretfully…”
Oh puhleeze! Take your pseudo concern and crawl back under your bridge, troll.

Old fan, you must be senile and beleiving the MSM byline. Think for yourself and quit slurping up the MSM lies. I’ll take anyone that LOVES America AND is a LIFE MEMBER of the NRA.

After it premieres in Iowa, I look forward to seeing it in NH !!
I voted for Gov. Palin in 2008, not the babbling RINO liar with whom she was paired.
The left & their propaganda arm have been attacking her feverishly for almost 3 years. She frightens them like no one since Ronald Reagan. The Goebbels Gruppen of the MFM have hurt her among the unenlightened. It will be *VERY* interesting to see what impact the documentary has on these erroneous impressions.
Should she be able to counter them, she will be our next President and, I believe, a great one. It would be so delightful to watch the msnbc / newsWEAK / NY slimes crews pee their pants & foam at their mouths as they report the election results.

Patrick Glenn commented:
Old Fan (comment #19 at 9:46 AM): you make some fair points, but I’m not sure if Ronald Reagan would live up to your (implied standard).
To really delve into your criticisms, we might first have to debate what’s more important, A). Defeating Obama by any means necessary, by any possible GOP candidate, regardless of that candidate’s genuine philosophical outlook, etc.; or B). Promoting conservative/libertarian ideas to a culture in which “the culture wars have already been lost,” we’re heading off a fiscal cliff, etc., even if that means four more years of Obamanation?
For sake of argument, I’ll asume that you’re in camp A (from above). Okay, then, Palin might very well be unelectable as a general election candidate (assuming she were the GOP nominee), but not for the reasons you describe. As you yourself suggested, Obama is the epitome of a politician who “has been revealed to lack sincere substance,” who “abandons oaths,”who is sold as a celebrity. Obama is a product of slick media packaging, a construction of “mythic identity, romanticism, etc.,” i.e. hype.
As you wrote, “We already have a scripted President who is an utter disaster, who won based on a fake ‘documentary’ production presented to the American Public.” The difference, though, is that The One is heavily reinforced by the MSM, while the Palin media creation is heavily undermined by the MSM. It’s not so much that Palin is a shallow media creation then, but that she’s a Republican female, right?
Is it even possible to win a 2012 presidential election without such media packaging? How would milquetoast candidate like Pawlenty (who I might sorta like and respect) fare against The One?
The next logical step would be to suggest that the GOP needs someone who is both highly marketable as a media product, with an image/narrative that will be highly resistant to MSM counter-imaging attacks, etc., AS WELL AS very sophisticated in terms of policy, economics, political philosophy, etc.
Okay, Old Fan, who did you have in mind?
Maybe Palin is unelectable because REPUBLICAN (especially Republican women) DEMOCRATS

“But in the end, this hurts all, as the actual offering flops in the form of debates, interviews, etc.”
What makes you think she will not debate? She kicked Biden’s ars in ’08. As for interviews, the only one I see running to the lib media is Gingrich and we all know how that turned out for him. Gregory will call every GOP candidate a racist, so why should they go on his show?
“We already have a scripted President who is an utter disaster, who won based on a fake ‘documentary’ production presented to the American Public.”
Yes we have a scripted President who sounds like an idiot off prompter. The reason he is scripted is because if he revealed who he really is (Marxist) he couldn’t get elected dog catcher. On the other hand we have a candidate that can take a sharpie and jot a few notes on her hand to give a great speech.
“In fact, Mrs. Palin was THE GOP so-called establishment choice for VP. “
In fact, McCain was the so-called establishment choice for the top of the ticket because it was his turn. He picked Palin because he was tanking in the polls. Conservatives and Hillary supporters were going to stay home. He wanted Lieberman but he knew he no chance unless he got the base to the polls.

More from the article:
Although Palin is not interviewed directly, the film features on-camera interviews and commentaries from 10 Alaskans who played different roles in her political rise, as well as six Lower 48 denizens who defend her in more visceral terms, including prominent conservative firebrands Mark Levin, Andrew Breitbart and Tammy Bruce.
Divided into three acts, the film makes the case that despite the now cliched label, Palin was indeed a maverick who confronted the powerful forces lined up against her to achieve wide-ranging success in a short period of time. The second part of the film’s message is just as clear, if more subjective: that Sarah Palin is the only conservative leader who can both build on the legacy of the Reagan Revolution and bring the ideals of the tea party movement to the Oval Office.
My bolding — can’t get better voices than those to defend and endorse you.

Raymond commented:
I am not an american voter but I do have faith in Sarah Palin toughness. I have been in Alaska as an overseas worker at the oil industry and I can testify that she got the things done. She straightened up corruption within Alaska politics. Yes, because of her imposed taxation on oil, Alaska has budget surplus of 10 billion dollars during her term. She enforced what is right and that is very good qualities of a great leader. She lead her constituents to a right direction and not to please the beltway and the elites. That is a good leadership for the common Americans. If common Americans and the conservatives will not unite under Palin, the evil liberals will continue to ruin the United States and that is a clear and present danger. DO YOU WANT YOUR COUNTRY USA to follow the path of the once Mighty Roman empire that was destroyed from within by the ultra left corrupted political leaders?? It is up to your choice now or you guys will never another option in the future.
