Disgusting!
This is a perfect example of what the left thinks of the Catholic Church. In their eyes the church is an evil entity that abuses and molests children. And, now they’re smearing the pope as the molester in chief.

Obama lackey, Huffington Post contributor and author Keli Goff compared cop-killer promoting poet Common, a member of Barack Obama’s former radical church, to the child molester enabling Pope Benedict.
What an outrageous statement.

Are leftists really this determined to defend a thug rapper that they will insult the leader of the Catholic Church?
It looks like they are.

More on this vile poet here.

  1. Who the hell is Keli Goff and why the hell should I care what a racist, bigoted ***** like her thinks?

  2. She has to defend Obama and Common. She is black. She would lose her ghetto pass if not.

  3. You better worry, as should we all. With all her ass sucking, she’ll be a Federal Judge by the end of the year. That alleged “Poet” is a worthless stain on America. Just my somewhat humble opinion.

  4. More children get molested in airports than they do in Church.

  5. A real class act. He’ll fit in well with the rest of the Gutsy Clown’s bunch.

  6. As a practicing Catholic and embarrassed by what the clergy has done to Children…I have to say. this woman is nuts, hateful and if she thinks its alright to compare the pope to this so called poet, then I guess I can say Obama is a liar and hates America…!!! And the majority of priest are good men who carry out God’s work quietly and prayerfully!

  10. Big teeth. Small brain. Talking point lib. Nuff said…

Giant teeth. Okay. Pretty hot and stupid.

    Did I say teeth?

    Stop.

    Teeth.

  11. Imagine a white “ARTIST” saying this about Obama.

Does he get invited to the White House or the BIG HOUSE??

  12. Another black nationalist enjoying mainstream success. You’d never see that with a white nationalist. These double standards need to end.

  13. At what point is it appropriate to conclude that Barack Obama is a racist?

  14. Make Obama Denounce this.

  15. The greatest child abuse is abortion. The left has the blood of millions on their hands.

  16. No matter how high the position these people have achieved, you can’t show someone how to have class. They either have it or they don’t. These people are the most classless people I have ever seen to sit in the White House. It is shameful! It wasn’t bad enough when they feted a dinner for the Chinese Premier and they had a famous Chinese pianist play the rebel music of the communist fighters that slaughtered millions, now we have a disgusting rapper poet who is a friend of Reverend Jeremiah Wright and raps about killing cops and President Bush! And this piece of trash has the nerve to disparage the Pope? I can’t wait to throw them out in the next election!

  17. That is rich, coming from a ‘Pedophile Enabling’ president! What about you “Safe” School Czar, Obozo?

  18. Here’s Rove on Hannity’s show: calling Common a thug who’s called for the death of G.W. Bush. It’s reported Michelle, BO’s belle, extended the invitation:

Remember, she – no, they- care about the kids. It’s poetry, you know…sending their messages of love and kindness for all.

  19. the incidence of child molestation among catholic priests is lower than NEA and AFT members. the only reason the catholic church is singled out by american tass is because the catholic church is considered an enemy of marxism. the incidence of molestation by catholic priests peaked by 1980. long before benedict became pope. so not only is keli goff a catholic hating racist, she doesn’t know what she is talking about. but then she is a democrat. i hope catholics remember this in the next election.

  20. By that logic, Obama should be shunned for Democrat Party slavery-enabling.

  21. Many people do not know how to respond to such attacks. And in this short time given to interviewer and interviewee, you will never see a great response. I will, here, import a response to a challenge on my Facebook In two separate posts I answer his silly attack:

I would enjoy a conversation from you backing up the claim that it is a hate site. You got a chuckle from me on that one. As for priests, here is a response to another person who brought this up (to be clear, beneath this is from a previous discussion meant for people to use as a jumping board to be able to answer skeptics):

NUMBER TWO, I wish to discuss this issue of molestation by priests that you intimated about.

School counselors, dentists, Buddhist monks, foster parents, and the like — all have abused children. Men who are pedophiles look for positions of AUTHORITY OVER [*not yelling, emphasizing*] children that afford MOMENTS OF PRIVACY with these same children. Dentists do not violate children or women in the name of dentistry. Buddhists monks do not sodomize children in the name of Siddhartha. School counselors in the name of psychology, foster parents in the name of Dr. Spock, etc, … you get the point. Likewise, priests do not violate children in the name of Christ. (The many terrorist attacks are in the name of something… can you tell me what Nora?)

So I hope you can see that mentioning churches next to schools is a non-sequitur, I think we can agree that any church moving priests (Catholicism) or pastors (Protestantism) from one parish or church to another is a problem that has to be dealt with. Just like teachers who have the same issues levied towards them are moved from district-to-district (N.E.A.).

Another laugh I had was the thousands of children raped yearly by priests stat. Please, feel free to provide a reputable reference/source for that. Most of the molestations happened years ago (in the 60′s and 70′s) and are now only being told by the adults who remembered them. This is partly to the loosening up of mores in allowing certain people into seminaries during and after the sexual revolution. While molestations happen by Buddhists, dentists, teachers, police officers, family members, etc, what does this have to do with a cogent argument? For instance:

    ….

    1) Religious News Online reports from an original India Times article, another source that cites this is Child Rights Sri Lanka:

Two Buddhist monks and eight other men were arrested on Wednesday, accused of sexually abusing 11 children orphaned by the island’s 19-year civil war, an official said.

Investigations revealed that the children, aged between nine and 13, had been sexually abused over a period of time at an orphanage where the men worked, said Prof. Harendra de Silva, head of the National Child Protection Authority….

    2) Washington County Sheriff’s Office Media Information reported the following:

Mr. Tripp was arrested for sexually abusing a former 15-year-old foster care child.

The investigation started when the Oregon Department of Human Services was contacted by a school counselor who learned that there may be sexual abuse involving a student and Mr. Tripp. DHS workers then contacted Sheriff’s Detectives who took over the investigation.

Detectives learned that Mr. Tripp has been a foster parent since 1995 and has had at least 90 children placed in his home during that time. Sheriff’s Detectives are concerned that there may be more victims who have not yet reported sexual contact involving Mr. Tripp….

    3) A therapist who worked at Booker T. Washington Middle School in Baltimore was arrested in Catonsville and charged with molesting a 13-year-old boy, Baltimore County police said yesterday.

Robert J. Stoever, 54, of the 1500 block of Park Ave. was arrested Sunday night after a county police officer saw him and the boy in a car in a parking lot at Edmondson Avenue and Academy Road, said Cpl. Michael Hill, a police spokesman.

Stoever was charged with a second-degree sex offense and perverted practice, according to court documents. He was sent to the Baltimore County Detention Center, Hill said….

    4) A Bronx dentist was arrested yesterday on charges that he twice raped a 16-year-old patient whom he had placed under anesthesia during an office visit on Thursday, police said.

The girl, a patient of the dentist for several years, was hired for a summer job as his receptionist on Thursday, and had an appointment with him for treatment that afternoon, said Lieut. Hazel Stewart, commander of the Bronx Special Victims Squad.

    [....]

“She went in and she changed into a little uniform that he gave to her, and he gave her some files to work on,” the lieutenant said. “Then he said that it was time to take a look at her teeth.”

At that point, Lieutenant Stewart said, “he used some type of anesthesia on her and he allegedly raped her.”

The young woman told officers that she was never fully anesthetized, Lieutenant Stewart said, but that “the effects of the anesthesia were strong enough to render her helpless to such a degree that he was able to rape her again.”

These folks are atheists, Christians, Buddhists (which are ontologically speaking, atheists), and every other ideology and stripe of life and culture in the world. The argument is as strong as this:

There have been many cases of dentists’ drugging men and women and groping them against their will, therefore, I do not believe in dentistry.

The conclusion just doesn’t follow the premise. In the case of religious comparisons, you would have to isolate the founders and their lives in order to properly judge a belief, not the followers.

You point Carey is lost in comparison to apples and apples. The question becomes, which worldview offers an ethic to call such actions truly evil? That is the question, it isn’t philosophical naturalism.

  22. Obama is a vengeful head case for a reason

Ah what Uncle Frank must have done’ to him

  23. More kids are molested in public schools by teachers than in churches.

  24. Has anyone ever seen a White House that was so racist and corrupt?

  25. And yet the The Catholic Church endures….

“Interviewed by al-Jazeera in 2006, Ahmad al-Qataani, leader of the Companions Lighthouse for the Science of Islamic Law in Libya, explains the decline:

Islam used to represent … Africa’s main religion and there were 30 African languages that used to be written in Arabic script. The number of Muslims in Africa has diminished to 316 million, half of whom are Arabs in North Africa. So in the section of Africa that we are talking about, the non-Arab section, the number of Muslims does not exceed 150 million people. When we realize that the entire population of Africa is one billion people, we see that the number of Muslims has diminished greatly from what it was in the beginning of the last century.

On the other hand, the number of Catholics has increased from one million in 1902 to 329 million 882 thousand (329,882,000). Let us round off that number to 330 million in the year 2000.

As to how that happened, well there are now 1.5 million churches whose congregations account for 46 million people. In every hour, 667 Muslims convert to Christianity. Everyday, 16,000 Muslims convert to Christianity. Every year, 6 million Muslims convert to Christianity. These numbers are very large indeed….”

As well as other Christian Denominations….

Christian growth is based on adult conversion. As leading Christian evangelist Wolfgang Simpson writes, “More Muslims have come to Christ in the last two decades than in all of history.”

  26. Ok… you do realize that there have been several cases of Catholic priests molesting children over here in the past few years, right?

And the Catholic church has done what?

Nothing. I haven’t heard of even one of those priests and monks being prosecuted. Not one.

    Strange.

And it’s not the first time this is happening. John Paul 2 did the same thing several times.

In that area the chuch is just as criminal as the left wing. They, too, are protecting their own from the arm of the law in such cases.

    So surprise!

Your precious Catholic church is goose stepping with the left wing over here in pretty much all cases. More money for people who refuse to work? Left wing and church are screaming for it. Kow-tow to islam? Left wing and church are screaming for it.

Who says that islam is good for us? The left wing and the Catholic church. And those local church leaders wouldn’t be able to do any of that if they wouldn’t have the agreement of their pope.

    So give me a break.

  27. Andreas K…..take your anti-catholic bigotry and shove it!

    * Now I’ll pray for your lost & ignorant soul….*

  28. Working class,
Give Andreas K a break. He is under conviction by the Holy Spirit. His conversion has been
a Rosary prayer intention for some time.

  29. #27 i agree with #27. there was a six time increase in the incidence of homosexual child molestation in the catholic church between 1960 and 1980. what happened in that period to cause such a dramatic increase in this behavior? well the vacitan council II(that conclave to liberalize the church)allowed homosexuals to become priests. previously the chuch would not allow homosexuals to become priests. after the vacitan council II removed that restriction homosexuals(not catholcs)became priests. homosexuality is a sin in the eyes of the church. you cannot be a practicing homosexual and be a legimate priest. these people did not enter the priesthood to administer the faith. they entered the priesthood because it provided a good cover for their homosexual activities. the catholic church doesn’t have a child molestation problem it has a homosexual problem.

the only reason you hear about child molestation among the catholic clergy is because the church has always been a strong opponent of marxism. it is an attempt by the left to destroy a political enemy. you never see the media mention the fact that most of the child molesters in the catholic church are homosexual. that is because homosexuals are a
    protected, organized liberal voting bloc.

andreas k the reason for coverups is because these homosexuals have risen thru the ranks of the church and try to protect their own, the homosexual not the church. the number of priests accused of these actions represent four tenths of one per cent of all priests. your child would stand a better chance of being molestated by someone that blogs on the internet than a catholic priest.

  30. #29…..These folks are Pederasts and this is the unspoken current within Gay Culture….and it is a problem in the seminaries and in the culture at large….

“Rod Dreher, editor of National Review Online writes: “Stephen Rubino, a New Jersey lawyer, says that of the over 300 alleged victims of priest sex abuse he has represented, roughly 85% are boys, and were teenagers when the abuse occurred. Dr. Richard Fitzgibbons, an eminent Catholic psychiatrist who has treated scores of victims and priest-perpetrators, says 90% of his patients were either teen male victims or priests, or priests who abused teen boys.” Because the victims are teenagers, this shows that the issue is not one of pedophilia as much as it is one of homosexuality….”

There are numerous studies showing that clergy abuse occurs in all denominations at about the same rate, only that your beloved MSM has chosen to go after the Catholic Church first. Below is an excerpt from a study done by a non-catholic; I am not catholic however not gullible enough to realize that this is only a catholic, other denominations or Christian in general issue.

This site will take you to to numerous studies.

“A steady stream of revelations and civil lawsuits over child sexual abuse by priests seem to signal the Catholic Church has the biggest problem with clerical scandals, but experts deny it is a hot zone of exploitation.

Insurance companies, child advocacy groups and religion scholars say there is no evidence that Catholic clergy are more likely to be involved in sexual misconduct than other clergy or professionals. Yet ongoing civil litigation of decades-old cases against a church with deep pockets keeps the Catholic Church in the headlines.

“There is no plausible evidence that Catholic priests are gangs of sexual predators, as they are being portrayed,” said Pennsylvania State University Prof. Philip Jenkins, eminent religion and history scholar, and a non-Catholic who’s studied the church’s abuse problems for 20 years.

Jenkins said there has been no formal study comparing denominations for rates of child abuse. However, insurers have been assessing the risks since they began offering riders on liability policies in the 1980s. Two of the largest insurers report no higher risks in covering Catholic churches than Protestant denominations.”

  32. “Pope Benedict has done more than any other Pope in history to clean up this crisis in the Church. He is the first Pope to implement such decisive strategies to actively rid the Church of abuse, and to extend his hand in apology to victims….”

“The Catholic Church has been the only religious organisation to make data concerning sexual abuse public, including commissioning and paying for reports into incidents of sexual abuse amongst the clergy, such as ‘The Nature and Scope of the Problem of Sexual Abuse of Minors by Catholic Priests and Deacons’, conducted by the John Jay College….”

“The Catholic Church has a high media profile: “It draws the mainstream media’s ire because, in a world increasingly characterised by moral relativism, it continue to teach enduring moral rules that don’t shift with cultural fashions.” (Katherine Kerston, ‘The Media Fires Up Its Inquisition’).”
    http://www.xt3.com/smallprint/media.php

“after his experience of reviewing the files, he began to talk openly about the “filth” in the church, and his staff became far more energetic about prosecuting abusers.” – (Ratzinger and his staff went through after 2001 )
    http://ncronline.org/blogs/all-things-catholic/keeping-record-straight-benedict-and-crisis

  33. “In a stunning ten-page declaration recently submitted to the Los Angeles County Superior Court, veteran attorney Donald H. Steier stated that his investigations into claims of sexual abuse by Catholic priests have uncovered vast fraud and that his probes have revealed that many accusations are completely false….”
“Counselor Steier has played a role in over one hundred investigations involving Catholic clergy in Los Angeles. In his missive Mr. Steier relayed, “One retired F.B.I. agent who worked with me to investigate many claims in the Clergy Cases told me, in his opinion, about ONE-HALF of the claims made in the Clergy Cases were either entirely false or so greatly exaggerated that the truth would not have supported a prosecutable claim for childhood sexual abuse” (capital letters are his).”
“Steier also took aim at the outspoken advocacy group SNAP (Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests):

They maintain an interactive Internet website with a user ‘Forum’ and ‘Message Board,’ among other features, where people can share detailed information between alleged victims pertaining to identity of specific alleged perpetrators, their alleged ‘modus operandi,’ and other details of alleged molestation. In effect, a person who wanted to make a false claim of sexual abuse by a priest could go to that website and find a ‘blueprint’ of factual allegations to make that would coincide with allegations made by other people. Law enforcement also uses the S.N.A.P. website to attempt to locate new victims and allegations against Catholic priests.”

“Yes, Catholic priests terribly abused minors, and bishops failed to stop the harm. That’s an undeniable truth. There are few crimes that revolt more than sexual abuse. The abuse of minors is a dark episode that the Church will forever have to live with.

Yet major media outlets have largely ignored a major element to the entire Catholic abuse scandal narrative….”

    http://www.themediareport.com/jan2011/special-steier-declaration.htm

  34. “By 2002, the single biggest year of media coverage of priest sex abuse (triggered by first-rate reporting in the Boston Globe), “it is almost certain that church authorities [had] long since ceased to ‘shuttle pedophile priests from parish to parish,’ ” Steinfels concluded. That fact was almost totally unappreciated when Steinfels wrote it in 2002, and it is rarely appreciated even today. What it means, however, is that as contemporary instances of abuse have been drying up, plaintiffs’ attorneys have had to find ways to proceed with decades-old claims, including by persuading courts to approve theories like repression of memory or going to legislatures to retroactively suspend their statutes of limitations.

Partly as a result, some of the cases themselves have taken on an increasingly surreal quality. On July 13, for example, the archdiocese of Denver took the unusual step of issuing a press release announcing that the reputation of Monsignor William Higgins, who died more than 40 years ago, remained unblemished after a plaintiff known as “Jane Doe” “voluntarily dismissed all claims” she made against him a year before.

  35. Muslims not only practice pedophilia, but pedophilia is condoned through the teachings of Islam.

I am not a Catholic and the denial of the rampant pedophilia amongst Catholic priests is staggering, and let’s face it – they protect their own and just move the priests around instead of throwing them out. Catholics need to make it very clear that pedophiles in the preisthood should be thrown out, never to return. The difference between the righteous and the unrighteous is the righteous hold fast to God’s laws and the unrighteous hold fast to man’s laws.

I have a close relative who was molested – he didn’t remember until his 30′s – he has no love for the Catholic Church although he was raised in it….that priest was moved out of the area free to offend again.

I have only one King here on earth and in heaven, and that is Jesus Christ.

  36. another things that bothers me about the child molestation accusations againist priests is how does someone get molestated for five, seven, ten years. i went to catholic grammer and high school. i finished high school in 1961. i don’t know of anyone that was molested , i never even heard of an incident. and i don’t know of a single kid i grew up with that would have been molested twice.

i often wonder if these people who claim years later that they were molested repeatedly weren’t homosexuals engaging in homosexual behavior with another homosexual and years later decieded to sue because of the money.

i admit i grew up in a rough neighborhood and the kids that i grew up with may have been a little tougher that kids in other neighborhoods but i still have a hard time believing that someone would let this happen to repeatedly.

  37. Matthew 7:23 “Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’”

Jeremiah Wright and all his followers including this poet(?), God has never known.

tommy #36 – it is because you do not understand the shame, the self-loathing, the fear of being outcast after being molested, and on and on. I bet you don’t know how many of the women you know have been raped either.

  38. Joanne #35
I am Catholic. Most Catholics don’t deny the abuse scandal & most work actively in the church to protect children. The links I posted are the other side of the story that is NOT reported in the media.
Most of these cases are settled out of court and many of these accusations would NOT hold up in a court of law.

I know nothing about your relative and their case and so I cannot comment on that.

I am speaking as a Catholic who is fed up with the anti-catholic bigotry and willing to speak up about it. Like any complicated issue there is fraud & a distortion of information perpetuated by a left leaning media ( which is often exposed as anti-catholic )

This present Pope Benedict XVI has a demonstrable record of fighting heresy in the church as a cardinal. He is a formidable theologian. He is attempting to clean out the trash, correct errors, and reach out to his flock & he has both my respect and my support.

  39. Joanne #35

Matthew 7:23 “Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’”

Numerous studies, one by the University of Michigan have shown that so-called “born again bible believing country Christians” are no different from other Christians who are no different than most other religions. They lie just as much, they cheat just as much, etc. Only major difference is that they have a much higher divorce rate, possibly due to being less educated.

  40. Catholic priests will always be male and required to be celibate.
( Allowing for married anglicans who convert is a temporary measure & a welcome one due to the shortage of priests as well as the transition of new convert congregations from anglican churches )
Catholic Church will never endorse abortion, euthanasia, artificial birth control, divorce, sex outside of marriage ( which includes homosexuals ), Gay Marriage, Gay adoptions of children, artificial insemination, marxism or the denigration of natural law….It’s in Catholic Theology,Liturgy & Tradition….
And this makes the church enemies….just sayin’

  41. joanne…there is no denial about pedophilia in the catholic church. it is the most widely reported story of its kind. everyone knows about it to the point where every catholic priest is suspected of it. this dispite the fact that it is no more prevelant in the catholic church than it is in any other religion. dispite the fact that it is less prevalent among the clergy than another profession. this is a fact ignored by the media and it seems people like your self. the only reason the media focuses on the problem in the catholic church is because it suits their political agenda. the catholic church has done more to alleviate the problem in the priesthood than any other organization more than say the NEA or the AFT for instance.

pedophila in the catholic church is largely a homosexual problem. my beef with the church is in won’t do the most important thing to stop this, keep homosexuals out of the priesthood like they did before vatican council II.

  42. this video should be shown in every catholic church and school in the country. however our liberal priests would never allow that.
