    Republicans said the same thing in early to mid-1991 after the first Gulf War, too. Ironically, the 1992 Democratic candidates were considered sub-par, much like the 2012 Republican candidates, so there are other similarities between the two elections 20 years apart.

    This type of analysis by these two clowns, as well as other Obama supporters I’ve read today, ignores the dynamic aspect of the political environment. Although the vast majority of Americans, including I, are very happy about the demise of Bin Laden and believe Obama deserves credit with a whole host of others who made this happen, it will only be one of many issues that will impact the 2012 race. If the economy is in similar shape to what it is today or even worse or there are some other foreign policy events in which Obama performs poorly, the killing of Bin Laden will have a minimal impact on people’s votes in 2012.

    A 9-11 widow was just interviewed by Anderson Cooper on CNN – she said that she was bitter over the decision to give OBL an “Islamic” burial – saying that she was unable to give her late husband – killed in the 9-11 attacks – anything close to a proper burial. She also would prefer to at least see the dead man’s picture to bring closure to her and her children – for Obama to continue to waffle on this issue in yet another failed attempt to appease the “moderate” mooselimb community is an affront to the 9-11 families. Why was this POS given a mooselimb burial in the first place? Either he is NOT representative of the world-wide mainstream mooselimb religion – something we’ve been told repeatedly by this idiot president of ours – in which case he in no way deserved a muslim burial and any mooselimb that took offense to the way in which he was disposed of is therefore taking a stand in favor of terrorism – or OBL IS, in fact, a representative of the world-wide muslim faith, in which case we ARE in fact at war with the cult of Islam.
