16 Civilians Killed in NATO Strike in Tripoli – Media and Leftists Are Surprisingly Uninterested

Do you remember when the leftwing media used to count all the fatalities in Iraq and Afghanistan? Do you remember how the peace activists would march in all the major cities and the newspapers would report all the innocent civilian casualties? And, do remember when the media would even make up stories to show how bad things were in Iraq?

Well, that was when we had a Republican as president.
Suddenly, it’s not such a big deal anymore.

(Dawn)

16 civilians were killed in a NATO strike in Libya today.
Dawn reported:

Sixteen “civilians” have been killed in a Nato air strike on Brega, to the east of the Libyan capital, state TV on Friday quoted a military source as saying.

Both Al-Libya and Al-Jamahiriya channels carried the report, which could not be independently verified.

Al-Libya said that in addition to those killed, there were “dozens of wounded” from the strike “last night.”

An international coalition began carrying out strikes on forces loyal to Libyan leader Muammar Qadhafi on March 19. Nato took command of operations over Libya on March 31.

What a difference 2 1/2 years and a democratic president makes, huh?

As Victor Davis Hanson says::

The only thing more surreal than Barack Obama’s radical transformation is the sudden approval of it by the once hysterical Left. In Animal Farm and 1984 fashion, the world we knew in 2006 has simply been airbrushed away.

Agreed.
