Woah! Obama Snaps After Brave Reporter Asks, “Why Do You Think You’re So Unpopular in Texas?” (Video)

Brad Watson– News Anchor and Hero

Barack Obama took his first hard question from a reporter yesterday. He didn’t handle it very well. He snapped at the reporter to “let me finish” at the end of the interview.

Brad Watson from News 8 in Dallas caught President Obama flat-footed when he asked,
“Why do you think you’re so unpopular in Texas?”

USA Today reported:

President Obama has troubles with voters in Texas, and, apparently, with interviewers from the Lone Star State as well.

“Let me finish my answers the next time we do an interview, all right?” Obama told reporter Brad Watson after an interview with WFAA-TV of Dallas, one of four interviews with local television stations at the White House on Monday.

The exchange is toward the end of the video.

At one point, Watson asked the president: “Why do you think you’re so unpopular in Texas?”

After some jousting about the size of his loss in Texas in 2008 — the president said it was “a few percentage points,” but it was more like 11 — Obama told his interviewer: “If what you’re telling me is that Texas is a conservative state, you’re absolutely right.”

You just gotta love Texas.

If this brittle little man reacts like this to some needling, I wonder how he would react if someone really slagged him down.

    I love this reporter…

Obama better nut up because this election is going to get rough…

  • The arrogant Obamalini look at around 2:05 pisses me off, and shows his inner @sshole coming to the surface.

  • #1 beat me to it.

If Obama is this brittle now, what’s he going to be like if a miracle happens and the Republicans field a candidate who will genuinely challenge him?

  • kansas

Hopefully we will pick a candidate with some balls as opposed the previous disgrace that ran.

  • StrangernFiction

How dare he disrespect Emperor Soetero this way.

  • bigkahuna

What Obigears meant to say is Let me finish my answers so I can talk for 5 minutes per answer and you only get 2 questions in and I can ramble long enough to say everything and say nothing all at once.

  • MathMom

He has gotten two tough questions since 2008. The first one was from Joe the Plumber, and after it, he turned and ran. The second one was in this interview. The reporter should have explained to His Highness that that is what is known in the business as a “follow-up question”. He’s never gotten one before, so you can understand how he felt a bit put out!

  • AuntieMadder

He’s so freakin’ clueless. To say that Texas is historically a Republican state is just false. Until a few decades ago when we Texans finally came to our senses and realized our conservative values are better represented by the Republican party*, Texas had been a Democratic state. So, Texas was, “historically,” a Democratic state.

*This was before the Republican party was infiltrated by RINOs and infected with liberalism.

  • StrangernFiction

“Texas has always been a pretty Republican state for historic reasons.”

“Let me finish my answers the next time we do an interview, all right?” Obama told reporter Brad Watson after an interview with WFAA-TV of Dallas, one of four interviews with local television stations at the White House on Monday.

Mr Obama with all due respect, I am a professional. I’ll do as I see fit. When you become professional at something, we can chat again. Until that time…..BLOW ME.

  • JimmyT

I hope Brad enjoyed his LAST interview with bambi. I thought it was great, but, i don’t think bambi was of that opinion.

  • MathMom

AuntieMadder – You’re right. The media went into “get-to-the-nub-of-the-story” mode on Joe the Plumber, because, you know, they just wanted to get to the truth. Of course, they were eager to do this because they did precisely none of that on Obama.

Re: “Texas has always been a pretty Republican state for historic reasons.” – he’s using veiled language to say that we’ve always been a KKK, racist state. I am SO over him. I mean, I thought I could not dislike him more than I did in 2008. But he has achieved that for me – my disdain for him grows daily. For solid reasons.

  • Jaggededge

Does Obama ever get challenged in basketball or even his golf game and 99.9% of the time he is thrown soft ball questions by the media. The history of this man has been left unchallenged and many questions about him are yet to be answered. Thanks great one for exposing your weakness.

  • Little testy isn’t he, maybe next time we elect a grown-up.

  • retire05

Gee, with only two Republican governors in the 19th century (both directly after the Civil War) and only two Republican governors in the 20th century (Clemmons and Bush) I guess all those Democratic governors were just a fluke in a “pretty Republican state for historic reasons”?

And Obama is supposed to be the smartest man to have ever held the office of POTUS?

All he showed was that when he doesn’t have a teleprompter to script him, he is really not very smart.

Why doesn’t Texas like him very much? Perhaps it is because he wants to allow the EPA usurpt state laws and drive up our utility costs? Perhaps because we have seen charletans before, and can recognize them? Perhaps because we expect Obama to cowboy up and not act like a Chicago metrosexual who is destroying our oil industry jobs while he now is giving another country $2 billion of our taxpayer dollars and telling them how excited he is at the prospect of buying their [foreign] oil?

President Trojan™ (named for both his thin skin and the ugly inner contents) lets the Mussolini mask slip just a little bit. That this petulant child is the president of America is a travesty that will scar our history forever. This interview was by a local ABC affiliate last night, and it wasn’t that Brad was being “aggressive” like Drudge said, but just asking a valid question, based on his extreme unpopularity here in the Lone Star state.
If he can’t handle that without lying and throwing a tantrum – this shows the level of treasonous disservice the LSM did in vetting this puppet in 2008.
I can only hope the sheeple look beyond the crap they are fed through the LSM to see what destruction this guy will bring on us when he doesn’t have to worry about re-election.
THAT is when the Soros agenda will be fully implemented, regardless of the other 2 branches of government. We have to keep getting the word out, and hope beyond hope that the GOP fields someone like an Lt. Col. Allen West who will face up to BHO and provide America with a patriotic, conservative, adult choice in 2012.

  • retire05

And remember, Texas will gain four, repeat FOUR Congressional seats for the next election. And Texas Hispanics are now sending REPUBLICANS to Congress, who are also Hispanic.

And as far as Obama’s remarks to Brad Watson to quote Tommy Lee Jone’s character in Lonesome Dove “I can’t abide rudeness in a man.”

Auntie Madder #10 – and the rest of you all who have posted on this – you are all 100% correct –

and President Urkel – the smartest man ever born according to the lamestream media – could use a little history lesson – “Texas has always been a pretty Republican state,” Obama said when asked why he was so unpopular in Texas.

    Oh really??????

In fact, since the Civil War and up until 1980, the State of Texas gave all of its electoral votes to the Democrat candidate in 23 of 27 presidential elections.

Hardly “a pretty Republican state” as Urkel put it. What a freakin’ moron!!

Somewhat sadly, well maybe no so much, I think secession must be considered.
After the S&P downgrade yesterday and the many, many comments about it since, the financial future of the US is precarious indeed. UT going for the gold really caught my attention. I sure would like a conversation with the people that made that decision! I have long felt the US will be too dispirited and impoverished to oppose Texas going it’s own way when we decide to make the move.

I was wondering if anyone noticed his shifting accent. He was as bad as Hillary twangin’ away, then the Illinois flat, then the “nuthin’ … nuthin’ … nuthin’ ”

It’s disgusting seeing and hearing that go without a media murmur, after they just savaged Bush. If the media had said nothing about Bush or Sarah Palin for that matter, which would have been the correct thing anything, I wouldn’t care about Obama’s diction or accent – it the CONTENT of the massage that matters most. But Bush and Palin were and continue to be ABUSED by the media, in every venue for their normally unremarkable accents and phrasing. While Bush always sounded like Bush wherever he was was and Palin always sounds like Palin, Obama sounds noticeably different depending on who he’s talking to.
Not a peep from the media – and this sort of thing goes deeper than just an accent, it’s about sense of identity, blurring WHO Obama really is, confusing understanding of him.
There is no evenhandedness, no fair game, it’s total war being waged by the Left.

  • Sally

It is interesting to see how violently they react when what they want doesn’t go 100% their way.

Recall when Mrs. Pelosi was sobbing b/c of initial Tea Party gatherings? Mr. Obama flashes in anger when “threatened”/uncertain in the least.

workingclassartist, this should make your day a bit better:

Last week I called a professor at A & M to see if he gave speeches, or seminars, on his book “Stealing From Each Other.” He doesn’t (in semi-retirement) but we had a long talk about economics and how his students reacted to his theories presented in his book. He told me that his students were usually more conservative than he is (and he is very conservative) and that when he tried to present the other side of the coin, his students informed him differently.

We are raising kids that will bring back conservative values. UT relies on foreign students a lot more than A & M (producing all those lawyers, you know) but it is the kid from the farm, who knows what hard work is that wind up going to A & M and when they graduate, teaching those UT lawyers a few things.

Really watch him at different times! I strongly believe the kenyan fraud has a double. Ears, purple lips, sucks his bottom lip, upper teeth pointed, hissing sounds, I could go on All the subtle differences are at different times. Yes, sometimes he looks much younger and thinner then the other one When he gives his weekly address he looks watered eyed I guess maybe a hard party night with his boyfriends and their stash! 🙂

  • Texas is Republican for historic reasons? Really? Must be more of that revisionist history I keep hearing about.

    Lyndon B. Johnson, Democrat – U.S. Congressman from 1937 to 1949. U.S. Senator from 1949 to 1961. Vice President from 1960 to 1963. President from 1963 to 1968.

Sheila Jackson Lee, Democrat – U.S. Congresswoman from 1995 to present. Represents inner-city Houston and some surrounding areas. Represents radical liberalism and is quite likely insane in the membrane.

In May, 2003 50 Democratic state house members fled to Oklahoma to stop a Republican-backed redistricting bill. In August, 2003 11 Democratic state senators fled to New Mexico to stop a Republican-backed redistricting bill. In both cases, Texas state troopers and the Texas Rangers were sent to round them up.

There’s a lot more, those are just a few highlights. Yep – Texas is full of nothing but Republicans, not a democrat in sight. That’s typical Obama – ignorant as the day is long and dumb as a fencepost.

  • chelied wrote – “I am SO glad I am leaving IL and moving to TX next month. Although I hate hate hate the heat, at least the government isn’t so corrupt. And I want to be there before secession is voted in!”

Texas is a big state and you can find plenty of corruption, as bad as anywhere else. The difference is that we keep it contained within small areas. To avoid corruption and democrats, avoid living in all large cities and their counties. Dallas and Houston are the worst. Suburbs and surrounding areas are quite nice, except for the heat, and the huge spring storms. I live in far-north Texas, about 50 miles north of Dallas. You couldn’t pay me enough to even visit the downtown Dallas area.

I bid you an early welcome to Texas. Remember to pick up your mandatory firearm within 30 days of moving here! 😉

The first state to declare independance from Washington will experience a landrush that will rival the California gold rush of the nineteenth century. Can you imagine freedom as the founding fathers envisioned? No more wealth redistribution, activist courts, IRS, EPA, unions and all the parasites that have attached themselves to Uncle Sam over the last century. It took less than a century for the Feds to run the country into the ground after straying from god and the constitution.

Scott – If it was Texas to declare independence, we’d start drilling in OUR gulf waters muy pronto. So, I say, a landlocked state should not be #1.

Chelied – Houston’s fine! It’s humid, but in less than two years most people grow gills and are able to breathe just fine. I have never wanted to live in Houston, but have lived here three times. There is something about Houston that has brought me back three times – Houston has opportunity. It’s that simple. Kings from around the world come here for medical care, my husband got his heart transplant here, and TexMex roolz!!!

I loved living in Boerne (near San Antonio), but it’s only about 3 hours by car from Houston, and you can go there and breathe their air and go to the Riverwalk any time you want.

Anyone who thinks that any state . . . even Texas . . . could stand alone and enjoy the life they have now is just a bit delusional.

About this interview, what in the world does a political party have to do with Obama being unpopular? He has become “unpopular” all by himself.

  • “Texas has always been a republican state.” everytime obama opens his mouth he shows how little he knows of american history. he knows that he can say anything he wants without regard to the accuracy of the statement because american tass will never call him on it. i’m 68 yrs. old and i think obama has made more misstatement of facts than all the other presidents of my lifetime combined. and that is saying something because that includes the liars nixon and clinton and of course the dummy george bushII. i always amused that the media that told us how dumb george bush was never mentions obama’s misstatements.

And just how long do you think you will enjoy the life you have now? One day when you are standing in line with welfare mothers and illegal aliens to get your free Obamacare check-up, you might understand what I am talking about…

Lot of great folks in SC & good ol’ Deep South cookin….Can’t ever take the Texas out of a Texan…
Hope you show em’ how to BBQ properly over there….

This is for you 99…my brother posted it on his FB page…

The Great Republic…where the tea is sweet & accents are sweeter, summer starts in April, front porches are wide & words are long, macaroni & cheese is a vegetable, BBQ is the state food, “y’all” is a proper pronoun, chicken is fried, biscuits come w/gravy, everyone is called “Honey”, someone is always getting their heart blessed, & we are all “fixin” to do something.
    Proud to be a Texan.

    Small world huh?

Yeah, uh Pat, you really think your odds are better in Obama’s new USSA?

  • catwoman368

Lil Richie has to show up an soil his britches again.

  • “historically texas has always been a republican state.” this from the most brillant man in the history of the world. obama the candidate was a complete myth made up by the media. obama is the biggest media hoax in history.

  • JaneLovesJesus

I think the “historically Republican” comment is alluding to how TX supported slavery, and, you know, Republicans support slavery (not) so NATURALLY a slave state would be Republican.
… or so the common lefty wizdum goes.

  • Radegunda

Look at those mean, hard, soulless eyes. He’s the typical Marxist demagogue, who loves the power that comes from pretending to be the savior of “the people,” but who is fundamentally heartless and cruel.

Next time anybody here’s the “Sky is falling cause there’s too many people argument…” perpetuated by the Phony Misanthropic Anti-Family Cult of One World Global Gaia remember this….

    * If the state of Texas was developed like Brooklyn….The entire population of the planet could fit within in it’s borders….In Alaska there would still be plenty of room….just sayin’ *

Thankfully we will never be developed like that…Point is that It’s not the lack of sustainable resources…It’s the management of them….And that’s about Corruption & Deception…
And the High Priest of the Delusional AGW Cult The Goreacle is a greedy lying hypocrite….

What about the slip of saying 2 million and then correcting himself 2 trillion. As he is unable to even run a lemonade stand ( Allen West ) he wouldn’t understand the difference would he ?
All the money he and wifey Me shell have aquired as affirmative action recipients , even the writing of his auto biography by terrorist Ayers ( free intellectual property rights ) that has generated millions for him….. He was even caught out by RINO Gingrigh when he shared an event / stage and Newt quoted how he was refered to in Dreams From My Father. Barry Soetoro obviously hasn’t even read his own autobiography ! ( might have the wrong RINO, Bush offsider spinner ? )
What an utter fake and fraud he is and I find it vomit inducing the eye make up on the Prez Pantywaist and the pouncy way he bounces down the steps off AirForce One. Am I the only one to notice ?

RINO Carl Rove I think ?

Another thing I think Donald Trumpt should run on the Democratic ticket to take the party back.
