Iranian Protesters Firebomb Saudi Embassy in Tehran

Iranian Shiite protesters firebombed the Saudi Embassy in Tehran on Monday.
The AP reported:
Scores of Iranian students have attacked the Saudi Arabian embassy with firebombs to protest the Gulf country’s role in cracking down on anti-government protesters in Bahrain.
The official IRNA news agency says protesters tried to attach a flag of the Lebanese group Hezbollah to the embassy’s gate Monday, but were prevented by police. Protesters chanted slogans against Saudi and Bahraini leaders, both followers of Sunni Islam.
Iran, predominantly Shiite Muslim, has denounced the deployment of a Saudi-led force to help prop up Bahrain’s monarchy. A government crackdown against Bahrain’s Shiite-led protests has killed at least 27 people. Authorities say they see Iran’s influence among the opposition, though there are no visible links.
And, of course, the US flag was torched during the protest.

I thought that attacking an embassy was essentially a declaration of war. Why the guards don’t protect their territory when the police fail? Carter’s failure to do so is why we have islamic terrorism today. mpw

That is an American flag. The 6 stripes you are counting are just the long ones below the blue field. The other 7 are the short ones that start after the field.
It does make me wonder where Iran gets all the American flags it so likes to burn. Does it go out on the international market to purchase them for import, or do they have a factory making them right there in Iran?

I don’t have any Iranian flags. Do you? I don’t have any Venezuelan flags. Or Chinese flags. Or N. Korean flags, or Yemeni flags. Heck, I don’t even have a Canadian flag.
I am an American and I DO have an American flag though. But I’m not going to burn it.
