Historian Larry Schweikart Leads Tucson Tea Party University

Historian Larry Schweikart led the Tucson Tea Party University on Friday night. The historian and New York Times best selling author discussed his books and the history of big government in the United States. Schweikart is a regular guest on FOX News.

Schweikart discussed how rock and roll influenced the Cold War era.

In 2009 Schweikart appeared on Hannity to discuss how Democrats today are trying to steal Abraham Lincoln’s legacy.

Tucson Tea Party website reported this on Larry Schweikart:
Larry Schweikart a former rock drummer who opened for “Steppenwolf,” is a professor of history at the University of Dayton. Dr. Schweikart has written more than twenty books on American history, national defense, business and banking history.

Among his publications is “A Patriot’s History of the United States”, which became a #1 New York Times bestseller and attracted the attention of the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and talk-show host Rush Limbaugh, who interviewed Schweikart for his newsletter in March 2004.

In 2006, Schweikart followed up with the controversial “America’s Victories: Why the U.S.Wins Wars.” Featured on BOOK TV and numerous television and radio shows, Schweikart was invited by the President of the United States to the Oval Office for an extended discussion of military history in August 2006.

His new book, 48 Liberal Lies About American History (That You Probably Learned in School) Schweikart is back in the culture wars. He has appeared on the “700 Club”, “Fox and Friends”, Fox News, Book TV, and dozens of national and local radio shows, including Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham, Hugh Hewitt, and many others.

Schweikart gives a great talk. He’s a historian and showman. It was a wonderful time.
