While Obama, democrats and the EPA block oil production here at home they fund it in Brazil.
Then they complain about America’s “addiction” to foreign oil.
EPA Chief Lisa Jackson blamed high gas prices today on America’s dependence on foreign oil.
No kidding.
The Politico reported:
The EPA is getting blamed for a lot of things these days, but Lisa Jackson says rising gasoline prices are not her agency’s fault.
The EPA administrator insisted Tuesday that upward pressure on gas prices “is not coming from any environmental or health regulation.”
“The standards that we set to protect our health are so often and so inaccurately blamed for increasing prices and economic challenges that I want to make clear that that’s not what is happening right now,” she told a conference hosted by the Energy Information Administration.
Nor is increasing demand for fuel in nations such as China and India to blame for cost spikes, Jackson added — at least not yet.
“What appears to be the most important factor at work is our dependence on imported energy,” she said. “This is what leaves us vulnerable to jumps in prices. When something changes thousands of miles away, the American people pay for it at the pump.”
Shell Oil announced yesterday that due to Obama’s radical EPA, they will be forced to stop drilling off the coast of Alaska. The EPA claimed a village of 250 people 70 miles away may be harmed by emissions.
The EPA doesn’t care about jobs, either.

Government over-regulation at all levels costs the industry I work in billions of dollars in direct costs, and it would be difficult to calculate the cost in terms of delayed or killed projects, but that’s massive too. It’s probably about 10x worse in the energy sector.
I wonder is Shell can even calculate how much money the EPA just flushed down the toilet for them.
Mark1957 commented:
Obama and the dem’s want to take over the oil industry just like they did health care. They will demonize “the evil oil companies” for turning a profit. Place the blame on ” speculators” for high prices instead of themselves.

I was at a zoning hearing recently, and some other guys were trying to get approval for a senior apartment complex type place. They already obviously have tens of thousands in it, but some of the neighbors hate the idea. The property is empty right now in a rural/suburban area 1 mile outside a good sized town. It meets the ordinance and it’s a typical site for that type development.
The board was under alot of pressure from about 50 NIMBYs, and one member voted no explaining that he thought “it wasn’t the best use for the property”. Not whether or not it met the ordinance, but whether he thought it was the best use – as if he was a member of a politboro in a collectivist country with no private property. Unbelievable.

Maybe someone should tell the bitch if we could drill our own we would not be dependent on foreign sources. Oh I know the world is a complicated place. Well yes thanks to her and many like her. If this biddy pumped out any more hot air her own agency would have to shut her down.

The entire Obama adminstration lies with impunity. They do so knowing the MSM will go along with them. The article about Franklin Graham illustrates this perfectly.
Graham is asked about Opie and the “birther” issue, by a LIBTARD. He answers honestly and kindly. He is attacked.
Then the story AFM reports, says that Obama showed a CERTIFIED BIRTH CERTIFICATE.
They are either IGNORANT or they are LIARS. Choose one or both. Obama has NEVER shown a BIRTH CERTIFICATE. The PROOF he has provided, is merely proof that he is ALIVE.

EPA, OPEC, and the falling dollar. Look there for the answers to the raising gas prices. IF we had a President that was doing his job – the EPA would be dismantled, OPEC wouldn’t be screwing us and the FEDERAL RESERVE scum (cause of the falling dollar) would be audited, cleaned out, and in prison.

The EPA is part of the Obama Administration. I do not believe there is a single person in the Obama Administration that believes in private enterprise. If you’re not working in a union controlled government job they want you unemployed.

“Local 704 which represents 1,000 workers at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Chicago.”
Anyone want to guess how many private job holders it takes to pay enough tax to cover the wages, and associated costs to have a 1000 workers at the Environmental Protection Agency in Chicago? Let alone all the other EPA workers where ever they are.

There’s a big catch to defunding Bobbi. the regulations will still exist, but there will be vogons around to (eventually) sign off on approvals. Companies won’t move forward in violation of the law, so everything that’s now slow and expensive will grind to a complete halt. The regulations need to be revoked.

But then they don’t allow drilling in our own country and force companies like Shell to close down operations withein the US. Have these people ever taken a course in logic? They’re not only idiots, they’re dangerous idiots to boot!

We have the cleanest country on the planet by far, and If you really are concerned about global whatever, you need to look at China, the world’s number one polluter by a long shot and getting worse with every factory they construct.

His policies are insan. I hope natural gas and oil fight him back. Boehner is horrible what a weak wuss and the congressman not filing impeachment charges on him!! Impeach him..now!!!! U.S. has no control over the price of oil.
The unrest in the Arab world is threating a production of 25.6 million barrels per day of oil.
Today, Saudi Arabia, Libya and Algeria are producing 14 million barrels per day.
United Arab Emirates and Kuwait are producing 5 million barrels per day.
Iraq and Iran are producing 6.6 million barrels per day
That is about 30 times the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge oil production expected in 2025.
That’s 150 times the missing production in the Gulf of Mexico due to ban in 2011.
As oil prices are set by supply and demand worldwide, U.S. has no control over the price of oil.
