Wikileaks Document: Chinese Company Is Selling Chemical Weapons Equipment to Iran

A Chinese company is selling chemical weapons equipment to the Iranian regime according to a leaked WikiLeaks document.
Haaretz reported, via Free Republic:

Near the city of Qom, Iran has a secret plant that is part of its chemical weapons program, according to a secret U.S. cable sent by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, which is part of the WikiLeaks documents obtained by Haaretz. Clinton instructed the U.S. Embassy in Beijing to take action against a Chinese company that is involved in the transfer of equipment, know-how and technology to Iran.

The document, dated July 24, 2009, reveals American concerns about the company, Zibo Chemet, which has supplied vital equipment for Iran’s chemical-weapons program. Such sales are forbidden, according to the regulations of the Australia Group, which supervises the sale of sensitive chemical technology, equipment and materials. China is member of that group. According to the cable, “We have new information indicating that Zibo Chemet transferred technology for the production of glass-lined reactor equipment to Iranian customers, significantly enhancing Iran’s ability to produce indigenously chemical equipment suitable for a chemical warfare program.”

Gosh, would this be the same Wikileaks that so many people despise? Seems that they have their usefullness when it benefits us. Transparency in government is ALWAYS a good thing.

Ah, this is just Obama’s new way of building up the economy for China and any other foreign country!

He just loaned Germany over $2 billion to build his green products, and if Germany defaults on the loan….it lands on our backs!

Billions to Brazil, Mexico, Germany, Colombia, and 2 countries in the MidEast…..all to either make green…..most to drill for their own oil, or build refineries!

Obama’s base sure were scammed….they thought spreading the wealth was for them, but it is for foreigners!

Besides he has brought us so down, that no longer do foreign leaders even listen to what we have to say….Hillary should just save her breath!

I’m not going to disagree with the sentiments here (and I’m sure you’ve seen my posts on Obama), but this one is not on Obama.
The Chinese have been doing this all along.
Wherever we’re fighting somebody, Chinese weapons are to be found.
If I’m not mistaken, the WMDs that were found in Iraq in 2006 had Chinese documentation with them.
The Chinese had their fingers in the Kosovo War too. The bombing of China’s embassy in Belgrade (conspiracy theory alert) is said to be the result of the Chinese stashing an ammo depot in the basement of the building.

They are also selling weapons to Afghanistan and Pakistan, and all over Africa.

Whenever there is a resolution to be made in the UN Security Council, they either abstain or vote no. Then they run right to the country in question and start dealing. It’s easiest for them to spare their own blood and treasure and have us engage the terrorists all over the world, and if there is any benefit to be had from the war on terrorism (i.e. not having buildings blown up, or say cheaper oil prices) China is right there to enjoy it. We should send them the bill for Americans killed by Chinese weapons, for the lucrative oil deals they have made in regions that the US military made safe for trade (Iraq), and for being our ghost enemy all over the world.

It’s China’s goal to take us down on a multi-pronged attack: militarily, economically, culturally. They’re coming for us and we’re still napping. They’ll be drilling for oil off of Cuba soon when they get set up. What are we doing? It’s time for the U.S. to engage in this undeclared war.

Why does our political class allows hundreds of billions of dollars, jobs & industries to flow to china each year? Simple answer: China is one of the largest buyers of US Treasuries. They finance a good portion of the yearly deficit spending.

So the agreement appears to be: We slowly transition manufacturing to China and in return for buying those cheap goods in Walmart, the Chinese government buys our US Treasuries. Pretty screwed up exchange huh?

Now we learn that the country we owe the most debt to is also selling chemical weapons. What can our political class do? Yell at our biggest loan shark? This is why whenever Democrats, Obama or even Republicans mention more spending or raising the debt limit must be run out of town. At what cost do we borrow? How much more of our industry must we sell off in return for debt that only keeps the lights on for another year?

The same thing was done to forge the European Union. Manufacturing and industry in mostly the PIIGS states was shut down and those countries in return received low cost economic development loans. In essence those governments agreed to shut down duplicate industries that already existed in Germany in exchange for Treasury Purchases. As more industry and jobs left, people had no choice but to depend on the central government for jobs, housing, income etc. Sound like what Obama wants to do here? This is why he has done nothing to help business, manufacturing, energy, he wants to rebuild the nation in to something more centralized like Europe which first requires killing of most of our industry & jobs created by small business.

China needs oil. China is here S America to get it. They’ll get it from Iran too. If Iran wants chem/bio stuff in return, so be it.

My buddy says, in his opinion, that neither China or Russia will play with the Middle East forever. The minute they get troublesome to the point where it affects either of them, they’ll jump down their throats.

I disagree. I think they are human like us and have bad policies ideas, just like us. We will see in our lifetime the world cut up along religious/political lines.

Asia-Middle East- Europe- Russia-Western hemisphere(NA/CA/SA)

The rest will just grab whatever ally they can find.
