Historic Day: Israel’s Iron Dome Defense System Intercepts Gaza Terror Rockets

After the Palestinian Islamic terrorists increased their rocket attacks on innocent Israelis last month, the Netanyahu government deployed its Iron Dome short-range missile defense system to its southern border with Gaza.

The Iron Dome missile defense system in Ashkelon was only installed three days ago.

Today the Iron Dome made history.
The Iron Dome missile defense system on Thursday successfully intercepted for the first time two rockets that were fired at the Israeli city of Ashkelon.
CLosing Velocity reported this from Haaretz:

The Iron Dome missile defense system on Thursday successfully intercepted for the first time two rockets that were fired at the Israeli city of Ashkelon from the Gaza Strip.

Iron Dome’s success Thursday marks the first time in world history short-range rockets were ever intercepted.

Congratulations to Israel!
