These were no tea partiers…
A screaming unhinged leftist mob shut down a town hall meeting last night in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. The shreiking leftists ignored the rulese discussed before the meeting began. Menomonee Falls Republican Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner and Wauwatosa Republican State Senator Leah Vukmir were hosting the events at the Wauwatosa Library. The leftist mob screamed, “Shame, shame, shame” as the two Republican leaders walked out of the meeting.

TMJ4 reported on the mob scene. You’ve gotta love the irony:

“This state is so (angry) at Republicans right now because their trying to shut down debate,” yelled one protester to loud cheers which dominated the room…

…”Power to the people” the protester yelled.

Eventually, Sensenbrener said, “this meeting will be adjourned” to a chorus of boos and the eventual “shame, shame, shame” chant.

One unhinged leftist disrupted the meeting early on and was asked to leave.

From the video: A liberal interrupts and causes a self demonstration during what is supposed to be a listening session at the Wauwatosa Public Library on March 7, 2011. There was a lot of disrespect hurled against Senator Vukmir and Congressman Sensenbrenner as most of the crowd ignored the ground rules the Wauwatosa Library and Congressman Sensenbrenner set.

Of course, the fact that these shrieking unhinged leftists could not control themselves surprises no one.

  1. AP wrote a story on the Dems offer to meet Gov Walker which he turned down without mentioning they offered to meet at the border, not in Madsion. Wonder how they will spin this to leave out pertinent facts.?

  2. I just hope that the liberals have as much success being heard as conservatives had when they voiced opposition to Obamacare.

  3. Will these little leftest children ever grow up?

  4. The leftist who storms out saying the 2 GOP officials are un-American reminded me of The Otter Defense from Animal House.

  5. Being here in Wisc., seems there’s no resolution in sight…at least we’re getting a good look at the monster parasites we’re all infested with …wish worm medicine would work!

  6. “This state is so (angry) at Republicans right now because their trying to shut down debate,” yelled one protester

Excuse me, but it is the Fleebaggers who have shut down debate, and protesters that shout down people speaking at Town hall meetings that shut down debate. Jacka$$es.

  7. This is what happens when you raise children with no winners and losers and everyone thinking they are special. You are not special, and life chooses winners, get use to it, you are only as good/special/successful as the amount of work you put in to it. They all need to there butts whipped like their mom/dad should have done, spoiled little children in adult bodies.

  8. Sorry my grammar and spelling in that last sentence got out of control, the more aggravated I got with them.

  9. Now see, this is all anecdotal. You really can not draw any conclusions from this because it was a small group of people, with only a very few individuals who disrupted the meeting.

Compared to the population these is inconsequential. What we need is a poll, with a large sample, and fair questions that will then be analyzed by expert statisticians who will then tell us what to think.

    Please, leave this to experts.

  12. Does anyone know if citizens could file lawsuits against the Dem senators for not doing their job? Isn’t their open meeting laws which are being violated with their demands for meeting in McDonalds?

  17. Time for “Right to Work” in this state and put an end to this bullsh*t for good.

  18. Good Americans need to be present to counter these greedy slobs who make a living bullying the private citizens.

  19. Put these public thugs on the same pay scale as those who serve and they might be seen as deserving, until then they are nothing but thieves of the public trust.

  20. And that’s for both public and private unions. Enough of the blackmail. This from a “former teamster.”

  21. This is typical of what we expect when trying to take candy away from spoiled children. Some people will try to equate this to what happened during the Obamacare town halls, but there is one big difference … These politicians weren’t LYING … they were just trying to get the truth out there, and these rude thugs weren’t interested in hearing it. They think that by simply yelling and screaming, and drowning out the speakers, they will get their way. They’re wrong …

  22. donh – Would YOU walk willingly into that crowd, and subject yourself to that nonsense? I know I wouldn’t. Nothing was lost on our side by just adjourning the meeting. If they don’t want to take advantage of the opportunity to learn the truth, it’s their loss. I’m not even really sure why they HAD the meeting. The outcome was predictable. I admire the courage those representatives had trying it though …

We’re seeing the same thing here in Ohio. No respect, no common sense, no willingness to listen … just shouting, screaming, and disrespect. Ignorance and irrationality are ruling the day, but haven’t they always when it comes to leftists?

  23. This is the most disgusting behavior I have ever seen from grown adults. All because they might actually have to find a way to pay for the things they want and need, instead of expecting the rest of us to provide it for them. And no matter how they and their media cohorts try to spin it, the real adults out here see it exactly for what it is. Absolutely pathetic.

  24. As a conservative, I have to advise caution in regards to these and upcoming townhall-style meetings. All of the press and, frankly, political sentiment drummed up during the pre-Obamacare months by Tea Partiers at townhalls could only lead to the left doing the same thing. Strategies are needed to react to these interruptions, but the ironic twist is that any and every tact that might be tried can then be used against the right when the left is holding the meeting.

As staunch an opponent as I am to Obamacare and the present administration in general, I was never a big fan of loud, shrill outbursts at these meetings, regardless of how effective they were at helping to build the grass roots. Any such tactics, I knew, could easily be used against us and our candidates once the tide started to shift.

    Slippery slope, indeed.

  25. I hate to say it, but I read through the comments above and, while I agree with most, they are almost exactly what I was reading about Tea Partiers et al in 2009 and 2010. The quickest, easiest response is, “well, we were telling the truth and these leftists are just lying.”

Fine. Still, remember the realities of the modern politisphere. Soundbytes rule. Video rules. Substance and good arguments take a back seat a great deal of the time to, unfortunately, too many registered likely voters.

The exercise, then, is how to keep the energy on our side. How do Tea Partier or right-wing outbursts at Democrat/left-wing meetings differ? How do we combat the crap as shown in the video without getting into a national screaming match whose only gauge for success is volume?

  26. Sorry to say, but I’m guessing some form of violence may be just around the corner.

  27. Debate and dissent is becoming criminalized in WI and other areas. Just do what the gov’t says or they will arrest you and roll out the nat’l guard. You people need to think for yourselves and not just act as programmed. If you are so right, allow collective bargaining and you’ll get all you need. To not allow debate and, instead, govern through fear, makes you a police state and as Anti-American as possible.

  28. One protester commented that the state is so angry with Republicans right now because they are shutting down debate…
HUH WHAT ? What are you talking about you liberal moron i see an effort by the republicans , where the hell are your demorats for this debate ? I’ll tell ya where they are sitting poolside, sipping tropical drinks in a nice resort in Illinois somewhere….thats where! and they unions are paying for it by funds that you have been paying in dues you nitwit…..or my tax dollars….
Im from Wisconsin and i know for fact there is more of us than there is of you, this is why ive never voted for a demorat in my lifetime and never will! Keep burning them bridges you union asshats…
Keep up the good work Mr Walker…..

  29. Haven’t met a liberal yet who didnt reek of hypocrisy. These assclowns on the video represent their party very well.

  30. Gentlemen/Ladies: You know what?, I can’t wait until 2012 to vote!!!, these Democrats and Unions are reflective of what is wrong with this Country…. Unions, I think have outlived thier usefulness, and Democrats in general are voting for things I do not agree with…. I am from Nebraska and watch with interest what is going on in Wisconsin….

  31. If I recall, those who raised their voices in opposition to RationCare were labeled racist hate mongers. Get ready for the MSM to adapt a new set of ever shifting values for how DemoBRATS behave and how their conduct at these Town Hall meetings is exercising their patriotic duty.

  32. Gus this is where our side needs to man up and show some courage. Go with a pack of friends. Wear black leather in case one of these angry thugs takes a swing at you with brass knuckles. You can see the rudeness of a crowd that just wants to keep their fat government paychecks coming. However, it is a bad image to see an entire room of people in full battlefield assault against our elected officials without ONE brave person in the crowd willing to BOOO the thugs down. The Tea Party worked real hard to take this country back from the selfish bloated entitlementors. Well here we are, now is the time, game is on….and what we bunker down hiding out in our basements because we are afraid of the left taking to the streets to get a little bloody ? This is how countries are lost. You will die one way or the other. By union fist today or by taxation tomorrow . Make the fascists bullies bloody their neighbors to sack your money. Make them live the life of a bonafide cannibal, and not get away with pillaging your property through the comfort of cowardly law.

  33. @#28 Rob

“Debate and dissent is becoming criminalized in WI and other areas.”-So it’s okay for demonrats to skip town & hold-up at a hotel to get their way? You’re an idiot. It’s the fleabagger demonrats that are making a mockery of the democractic process.

“Just do what the gov’t says or they will arrest you and roll out the nat’l guard.”-Duh? It’s called the rule of law, you jackass. Those fleabagging demonrats should be fired & held in contempt. Wouldn’t it be a great world (in your stupid view) if everyone did what they felt was right in their own eyes. Lawlessness is what you’re advocating, so yeah, listen to the gov’t or you’ll be arrested. Retard.

“You people need to think for yourselves and not just act as programmed.”-You should practice what you preach, moron. Most of the union dues goes to support demonrats who then vote for earmarks & wastefull spending that go to those who elected them. In my reality, that’s called a bribe and is illegal.

“If you are so right, allow collective bargaining and you’ll get all you need.”-Oh, on the contrary, IF YOU ARE RIGHT, allow collective bargaining to have voluntary union membership. But then again, most “members” wouldn’t pay the dues and the union would go bust. Hyprocrite.

“To not allow debate and, instead, govern through fear, makes you a police state and as Anti-American as possible.”-Too freak’n funny. The fleabagging demonrats skip town to prevent debate & voting and you got the nerve to accuse us. Typical libturd crap. Throw crap hoping it’ll stick since you can’t even stand on the truth.

Hey Rob, idiot/jackass/retard/moron/hyprocrite/libturd/demonrat/, move somewhere else like Russia, N. Korea, Iran or a host of other communist/socialist/fascist countries if you don’t like it here. POS

  34. Liberals can’t even govern themselves and yet we are supposed to let them govern us?

No thanks. Just say, never again!

  35. Maybe society indeed needs to start deporting or killing LibCommie terrorists.

  36. Why weren’t they arrested and removed from the town hall meeting? That is what would have happened had tea partiers erupted like this so violently..

  37. Liberals do not want facts of the Budget woes in Wisconsin to be expressed. They just want to raise taxes to keep giving them raises every year. WHile the general public is getting no pay raises. It is the right of Unions to get pay raises every year. They just have to keep raising taxes on everyone. Because Government Union workers are special. They are above economic realities

  38. People are following their leader, Mr Walker – stand firm, don’t listen to others, believe their way is the only way, sad to say.

If people want to have civilized debates, they the leaders need to start by listening to concerns, listen to who is going to be hurt the worse.

From the video, looks like these two didn’t want to hear anything they wanted to talk and be heard only and then run away when they are listened to. People had asked for statistics and any good legislature would want to show how it will affect them directly unless the numbers were not in the audiences favor. This is obvious that someone around the area isn’t going to care how it may affect Oshkosh – the only other reason is that these legislators are lazy to get real info and are just puppets and want to roll over.

Democrats have over a number of times tried to meet with Walker even before they left, he always sends his clowns. The Republican Senators constantly through threats yet never follow through (ie arrested if crossing the border yet they meet two Democrats in Kenosha and last time I checked that is in Wisconsin)

Glad something has ignited people to realize that their votes count.

  39. Glad something has ignited people to realize that their votes count.

What rock were you under during the Obamacare debate/passage? I’d say “people” realized that fairly well judging by the 2010 election outcomes.

  40. Rob. You are a clown. They haven’t been denied COLLECTIVE BARGAINING. They have been denied COLLECTIVE BARGAINING FOR BENEFITS. SAME AS THE FEDERAL GOVT and same as YOU and I.

Rob, please learn something before you run your libtard mouth.

  42. Anyone else notice a certain missing pigmentation representation from these attendees?

Then using the left’s TEA Party branding: union members must be racists.

  43. Compared with union demands and their activities of past 100 years, this shouting is pretty mild stuff. We’re talking about millions and millions and millions of federal (our) dollars being laundered though the teachers, to the unions and back to the “Democrat Machine”, nationwide. The Union doesn’t care what the teacher is paid. They care about the DUES. That’s the juice, vigorish, grease or whatever you want to call it. Then, you take that Democrat politician voting for billions in appropriations and it compounds into the Billions. Trumpka better pull this off or he could end up next to Jimmy Hoffa.

  44. Yeah, these guys are NOTHING likethe unhinged shrieking Tea Partiers that disrupted town halls over HCR!

  45. And when it is covered by FOX then, it was “Good Americans Participating in the Democratic Process”, now it’s “Thugs, Deranged mob, etc”
Why is that? Are these People not Americans?

  46. I would say get a job, but they are unemployable. I think they have actually found something Liberals can do with their long, boring days. What else is there to do once you pick up your check?

  47. Hmmmm…ConcreteBlue is a good log in for a union member. Your organization has used this material many times to cover up their “community” deeds. We have attended several town hall meetings. How about you, Blue? We found very few Democrats in attendance during these civil gatherings DEFENDING our rights as an American (voting class). The meetings our family attended looked nothing like the “gatherings” the American society has experienced in Wisconsin. I would imagine the majority of Wisconsin citizens are appalled at what this has done to the credibility and overall image of their state.

  48. So, it’s fine and dandy for corporate funded teabaggers to shut down town hall health care debates but when a main street movement objects to a corporate funded assault on their livelihood, well that’s a different story?

  49. “This is what democracy looks like”.

    Indeed.

In Federalist Paper 10 Madison said “A pure democracy can admit no cure for the mischiefs of faction. A common passion or interest will be felt by a majority, and there is nothing to check the inducements to sacrifice the weaker party. Hence it is, that democracies have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have, in general, been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.”

At the 1787 Constitutional Convention, Edmund Randolph said, “… that in tracing these evils to their origin every man had found it in the turbulence and follies of democracy.”

John Adams said, “Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There was never a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.”

Alexander Hamilton said, “We are now forming a Republican form of government. Real Liberty is not found in the extremes of democracy, but in moderate governments. If we incline too much to democracy, we shall soon shoot into a monarchy, or some other form of dictatorship.”

    History is prophecy.

  50. So, it’s fine and dandy for corporate funded teabaggers to shut down town hall health care debates but when a main street movement objects to a corporate funded assault on their livelihood, well that’s a different story?

See my points above for your answer. To the finer point, though, your hamfisted attempt at marginalization of your political opponents is almost as laughable as it is ignorant. Nobody does the drummed up protest dance better than centrally-funded and centrally-controlled union organizations. Compulsory attendance, mandatory expenses, and a long, rich history of violently lashing out at people that don’t toe the line. The Tea Party movement has none of those trappings. The only thing I can see in common, thus far, is shrill, inappropriate (there’s a time and place, in other words) outrage at these meetings.

It will rise to a crescendo before the 2012 elections. People unfortunately will get hurt. These are the trappings of mob rule.

  51. It’s time Gov. Walker gets tough and fire those 12,000 workers. If they act like thugs show no mercy..

  52. Everyone do yourself a favor and review the Dept of Labor website. You will clearly see the various organizations being funded by the American taxpayer for management and communication of employee rights. What makes unions relevant in public sector employment again? Maybe we should dismantle the DOL due to duplicity? I am sure the unions would be in favor of that proposal!

  53. Scott M, in response to your statement “The only thing I can see in common,…………”; I have no control of what you can see, the Kool-aid you consume, or the effects it has on you.

The folks that shouted out the Health Care Reform town hall meetings admitted to following a script from a corporate funded playbook. You cannot produce evidence that this occurred at Wauwatosa.

Regardless, honoring teabaggers for prohibiting HCR debate while chastising workers over Vukmir’s meeting demonstrates a blind partisan following and sheer hypocrisy.

  54. I attended many town hall/listening sessions and not once did I see or hear about a “script from a corporate funded playbook”. Nor did I or anyone else recieve any money from any corporation unlike the union money that has gone to a lot of the union members and hired homeless that have been protesting. If your going to make an accusation, prove it.

Tea partiers aren’t the ones advertising (paid positions) in DC for people to come to WI to organize the recalls against Republican State Senators.

  55. people come on, how can you just assume all of these people are “leftist”? The fact is that many people in that room probably align themselves more with the right. To report on these people collectively as “leftist” is irresponsible journalism, there is simply no basis in fact. To do such a thing not only does nothing to help the divide in this country that is tearing us apart more and more everyday, but it actually plays into the separation. The people in this country need to take a step back, forget about “right” and “left” and remember we are all americans. If this trend is not turned around we will undoubtedly make no progress in resolving the issues that plague our country

  56. @andy

The folks that shouted out the Health Care Reform town hall meetings admitted to following a script from a corporate funded playbook. You cannot produce evidence that this occurred at Wauwatosa.

I have no idea what evidence you’re talking about, but I went to three town halls here in MO before the Tea Party even got going. No playbooks. I was with people I know very well that were very loud. No playbooks.

Tell yourself whatever you need to in order to get to sleep at night, but there’s absolutely no denying that a very real, grass-roots, bottom-up movement coalesced in 2009 and had a huge effect on the 2010 elections. Most likely, it will have a similar effect on the 2012. What the left can’t understand is why the right isn’t playing ball on their terms anymore. Or, rather, they are.

    Sucks, huh?

  57. Scott, my post referenced town hall meetings where there was a deliberate shout out in order to prevent rational debate. If you have no idea of what evidence I’m talking about, I’m wondering why you’re attempting a discussion with such limited knowledge.

I’ve never claimed that teabaggers had no effect on the 2010 elections. But to pretend that Freedomworks played no part in orchestrating tea parties defies reality. Dismissing the multimillion $ given to Freedomworks by Kochs demonstrates how divorced from reality you are. Refusing to acknowledge a remote possibility that the Kochs are behind the assault on teachers indicates that you’re a blind partisan hack, drunk in the Kool-aid that your leaders instructed you to drink.

Once again, honoring teabaggers for prohibiting HCR debate while chastising workers over Vukmir’s meeting demonstrates a blind partisan following and sheer hypocrisy. You can’t argue the fact on it’s merit so you just pretend it isn’t true.

  58. Andy,

Your comments consist of ‘kool-aid drinking’, ‘Koch’ and ‘teabaggers’. Speaking for myself I find the ‘teabagger’ reference childish and insulting. The other references are simply childish.

All you have are insults. Enough. You’ve made your point. It’s time for some grownup conversation. Either up your game or go away.

  59. Actually Chisum, I agree with you. As a rule, with the exception of “teabagger” I don’t get into that childish nonsense. I don’t refer to Republicans as “repubs”, “repukes” etc as I find that as you say, simply childish. It’s interesting that I never see any objections here to “demorats” etc or even the more often “commie” references. Do you denounce those negative names and innuendos or does it simply apply to you and your side? You silence as the forum rolls off the page will come as no surprise.

The reason I suppose that I sneer at the Tea Party is because of their sheer dishonesty in not only their message (as vague as it is) but in their very name. They have a misleading acronym of “taxed enough already” while enjoying the lowest tax rate in 65 years. I find it interesting that the Tea Party emerged in volume just 3 weeks after Obama’s inauguration with a mantra of wanting “our country back”. The only logical explanation is that they’re pissed because they lost the election. While that’s their right to be mad, don’t insult my intelligence with silly nonsense about being taxed or as many of them do, try to sell some birther nonsense.

If you’re interested in “grown up” conversation, by all means state your case. That doesn’t seem to happen here as this seems to be more of a left/Obama bashing site with an acute case of ODS. Objective or constructive rebuttals are often met with scorn and insults. If you scroll, you see post after post attacking not only the unions, but the very employees that are the backbone of the country, many that don’t even understand collective bargaining but just happen to be in a profession that required them to belong. I doubt that any invested in higher education because they had some allegiance to a Union.
Yet this site wants to depict them as some evil infestation of society. On it’s face, that makes no sense and demonstrates a blind partisanship tunnel vision that requires you to march lockstep in order to advance a pro Walker agenda. In short, like teabaggers, you deliver a dishonest and distorted message that in the real world, doesn’t stand up to scrutiny. Or, you’ve overindulged in the Kool-aid.

Attacking a given profession or trade as evil while chastising anyone that speaks in their defense is not engaging in adult conversation.

  60. andy,

You can’t seem to help yourself, can you? You have made it clear that you don’t want to have a dialogue. You simply want to spew leftist talking points and insults.

I have a rule. If a comment contains at least three lies I pass it by. Draw your own conclusions.

Let me help you gain some perspective. How about if I invite everyone here to go over to your pissant blog and leave comments that consist of variables of Andy is a kool-aide drinking Soros cocksucker? I wonder how long those comments would stay up? Not that anybody would see them.

  61. In other words Chrisum, you advocate pointing the blame to the individual teachers and you endorse slurs towards Democrats?

  62. In other words Chrisum, you advocate pointing the blame to the individual teachers and you endorse slurs towards Democrats?

    andy,

I noticed that you were so pleased with your earlier spew you repeated it in another thread along with ‘teabaggers’ reference.

So your response to my pointing out your insulting use of ‘teabagger’ is to double down. Your response to my attempt to help you gain some perspective is to demand that I denounce other commenters use of ‘demoncrat’, ‘thug’, etc.

    Your conclusion is that:

    A) Use of the terms’demoncrat’, ‘thug’, etc. are equivalent to the deliberately insulting sexual reference ‘teabagger’

    B) If I won’t denounce others’ use of the terms ‘demoncrat’, ‘thugs’, etc. that allows you to continue to use the deliberately insulting sexual reference ‘teabagger’

Your logic is flawed. Your lack of integrity is repulsive.

  63. Were they carrying guns and shouting KILL HIM, KILL HIM like the REPUGS were doing at Sara Pailin’s rallies?

  64. Dissent from the far right is acceptable, yet dissent from some of the left is not?

That makes no sense at all.

Can’t have it both ways, Republicans.
