SHAMELESS… Obama Administration Claims GOP Budget Cuts Will Kill 70,000 Children

These leftists are shameless.
Obama, Pelosi, Reid and Democrats added over One Trillion Dollars to the Federal Budget in the last 4 years.
That’s at least a 30% increase in federal spending in just 3 years.
Democrats LOVE to spend your money. It’s what they live for.
The Obama-Pelosi national deficit is over a trillion dollars for the third year in a row.

Today an Obama official told lawmakers that cutting the democrat’s irresponsible budget will cause 70,000 children to die.

As Congress struggles to negotiate a budget deal to keep the government running, the head of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) told lawmakers Wednesday that the GOP version of the budget bill would result in the deaths of at least 70,000 children who depend on American food and health assistance around the world.
“We estimate, and I believe these are very conservative estimates, that H.R. 1 would lead to 70,000 kids dying,” USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah testified before the House Appropriations State and Foreign Ops subcommittee.
“Of that 70,000, 30,000 would come from malaria control programs that would have to be scaled back specifically. The other 40,000 is broken out as 24,000 would die because of a lack of support for immunizations and other investments and 16,000 would be because of a lack of skilled attendants at birth,” he said.
Let’s face it.
The left would much rather enslave the children with their massive debt.

This buffoon’s statement is utterly illogical and ridiculous. The US is not responsible for the lives of 70,000 random children. The US IS responsible for her own children. Irresponsible spending by the regime will be responsible for the deaths of US children when healthcare is withheld from them under Obamacare. Irresponsible spending by the regime on Planned Parenthood is responsible for the deaths of more than 70,000 children by abortion.
Stop the spending.
Stop funding Obamacare.

I notice from the wording that these would be foreign assistance programs — so no American children would be dying off. Not that they want you to read the fine print there.
I feel badly about starving, dying kids — but where are their countries at? Oh, formulating bloody coups, corrupt dictatorships, anarchy, etc. I would prefer to clean up my house first, and heartilly encourage those countries to do the same. We’ve been feeding their poor starving, dying kids for decades now, and they are still poor, starving, and dying (the ones that live often become wild eyed religious fanatics that kill Americans).

I misunderstood. I thought the criticism was over how few kids Republicans kill, compared to the millions and millions killed by the left through their junk science (DDT ban; use corn for fuel, not food; job elimination due to high cost of gas, I could go on).
Republicans are mere pikers compared to all of that. And they had to inflate the numbers Republicans are supposed to be responsible for killing, just to get some d-bag newspaper to print the story.

Wow. Feel like I’ve traveled back in time to 1994 when cutting the rate of growth of Medicare would supposedly kill every senior citizen in America. So, according to my timeline, the GOP caves in 5…4….3…2…1, figure about 6 months.
Wow, really having more bad flashbacks here where cutting some of the waste in school lunch programs would leave every child in America starving to death. And a few years later we had a (relatively) balanced budget.

As for any budget cuts to save children, I would cut all programs in public school except the basics…the three R’s to start. I then would reinstate recess, gym class, and for the upper grades physical education. Let’s save the children by unclogging their brains of multiculturalism, anti-American sentiment, and an education completely devoid of an Intelligent Designer. Then hire teachers who believe in using the paddle, putting children in the corner and awarding children that progress with stars, ribbons and the likes.
I am certain that many more children will live healthier and live longer being exposed to the natural vitamin D that one gets outdoors in addition to the exercise that recess provides. The cuts of materials from the multicultural agenda would more than meet any needs for the world children, but if they would still be at risk because of this cutback, I say challenge the UN to provide the funding…AND if the UN can establish other Funding than from the US, then America would match the monies, and cut several of our CZARS….

But what about their self-esteem? And if you get rid of the sensitivity courses, political correctness courses, sex ed (aka Things You Never Wanted To Know About Sex, So In Fear You’ll Never Ask… ), tolerance courses, self esteem exercises, time spent putting up with brats who can’t be paddled, etc., how do you expect the kids to fill their class time? On useless pursuits like how to write the way people used to it do back when being literate was all the rage? Figuring and counting change without the aid of an electronic cash register? Adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing whole numbers: how it was done in the pre-hand calculator days?
That’s just crazy talk. The next thing we know, you’ll be suggesting that only the kids who work hard and meet a set, standard score overall on their tests and assignments should be allowed to advance to the next grade each school year.

I hear you, uj. We have no money. Period. The money we’re spending now has been borrowed from other countries on notes to be repaid by Americans who are still children today and Americans who will be born in the coming decades. We can’t continue to rob from our children and their children. We can’t continue to be generous with their money, money they have yet to earn. We can’t continue to steal from our children in order to make ourselves look good and caring to the rest of the world. That’s what we’ve been doing for decades; it’s a shameful practice that we must stop.

It is a serious thing to consider; restore the funding of this…by taking TWICE the Amount from Planned Parenthood and other liberal pet projects. Get the savings AND ‘save the children’ (in more ways than one). Watch how quickly the pet project count for more than ‘saving the children’.
I work with orphans in this area and have often looked in the eyes of kids that could be affected. It’s cruel but we simply don’t have the resources to do it all. And, if this nation goes bankrupt, the charity work we manage to do around the world will come to a screeching halt- and MILLIONS will die.

Let me ask the obvious, but “inhumane” question here: why does the US have to pay for malaria programs in the ass end of nowhere?
The people there should, by now, know how to deal with it. I’m not talking about anything fancy, but rather the most basic things. Like… uh… I don’t know… dry out swamps where the mosquitos live?
Oh wait, that would endanger the mosquitos and the enviro-nitwits can’t live with that. Plus… “THINK OF THE CHILDREN!” and their parents, who’d have to get off their lazy, whining asses and do something!
Sorry, but stuff like this makes me rage. What about the few thousand parents of those 70,000 children? Why aren’t they doing anything?
My grandparents were part of the people who rebuilt this country after WW2. My ex-gf’s grandparents helped rebuilding Japan from utter devastation. Was it easy for them? Heck no. Did they sometimes feel as if it was all too much? Heck yes.
Did they ever sit down in the dirt and whine? Did they ever give up?
No.
This is the difference. Our developing aid has led these countries and the people there to become lazy. Why dry out swamps yourself when you just have to sit down and whine and some foreign aid organisation will be dumb enough to do the work for you.
