A screaming mob of SEIU workers held a protest at the ESSA Bank in Stroudsburg, PA this week.
They demanded to talk with the branch manager and wouldn’t leave until the police were called.

Sodexo Sues SEIU Under Federal RICO Statute
The American unit of French catering giant Sodexo SA on Thursday filed a civil racketeering lawsuit accusing the Service Employees International Union of engaging in illegal tactics in its efforts to unionize workers.
The company levied numerous charges accusing the union of threats concerning employees and company property, engaging in illegal tactics to steer business away from Sodexo and attempting to publicly tarnish its reputation.

This is another law that must change in the US, every union needs to have their unreasonable protection from anti trust lawsuits stripped away permanently!

That part of PA might as well be part of New Jersey. I’ve had to do business with a couple of municipalities in that area and the only way I can describe them is arrogant and corrupt. I refuse work in that area now. It looks very beautiful but the character of the place is polluted. SEIU should be right at home.
Ginger commented:
SEIU is desperate. They are losing their racketeering money. Oh forgot union dues.
doing their usual rotten criminal thuggery. You go Essa Bank nail them. rah rah How much you want to bet their windows will be shot out?
Mahdi Al-Dajjal commented:
I mean… this lawsuit is all good and everything but with the union-backed Kenyan Fraud currently occupying the Oval Office and with his lackey Eric Holder running the Injustice Dept, this legal action hasn’t got a prayer of ever even seeing a court date. Eric Holder will just order some Injustice Dept lawyers to find some regulation or other Federal Law that this company ever might have inadvertently crossed and threaten them to withdraw the lawsuit against the unions for racketeering, or else.
They’ll even order the IRS to review every tax record this company ever filed, every permit they ever applied for, every EPA regulation that ever applied to their line of business, and so on and so forth until they find something. And even if they DON’T find anything, they’ll claim they did and threaten them anyway. It’s the Chicago way!
Just saying…
Granny commented:
It is about time that somebody went after the SEIU under RICO. Should rightfully have been the US Dept of Justice but as we can see, they aren’t in the law and order business anymore. Part of the problem rather than the cure. Luckily, RICO allows for private action.

“…IRS to review every tax record this company..” not that a dem has ever considered using the irs to go after political opponents and perceived enemies.
[An official with the Internal Revenue Service has admitted that legal opponents of former President Bill Clinton were singled out for tax audits, according to court documents made public this week.]

These pigs in the SEIU need to be hit with a RICO action. And, Missy8s, as you note, thump them with antitrist actions. Decertify ALL public sector unions.

2012 ain’t so far off. If Democrats think they got smoked last November then they ain’t seen nothing yet.
They don’t get it.
Pushing people around with their thuggery will get then nowhere fast.
Here is the thing.
Republicans don’t care if unions get mad because they never get their vote anyways.
If unions make voters mad then Democrats lose elections.
Let them protest all they want.
Freddy commented:
These union members have decided that they are NO LONGER interested in being REPRESENTED by their assigned members.
As part of the final contract agreement, every member involved in this abusive action should be fired.

Moronic union thugs/goons chanting inane slogans. They work? at a local hospital? They are on strike? nice people!

holy crap, it’s about time. now people will understand how these union mobsters operate. read about what happens when small business gets into the cross hairs of big union.

And that kind of behavior is supposed to bring anyone to their side? I say fire them all; there are a lot of out of work people looking for jobs.

WHy does this all look like 1960 university sit-ins?
Some things never change.
When the first Gulf War broke out, I was driving by the federal building near the middle of town and there was some sort of sit-in going on in protest. It looked like something right out of the 60s. (times I remember well – I was a little kid back then)
Valerie commented:
Let me get this straight: a union at a hospital demonstrates at another local business because the chairman of the board of the hospital is a business owner.
How many business people have been deterred from public activity by this type of threat?

Best comment I saw today was the suggestion that the lady working in the bank, who was asked where the bank manager was, should’ve responded, “He went to Rio with Obama.”

I think the RICO statute allows for “private attorneys general”. That’s a private party filing the complaint. Mybe Holder can interfere with that ,maybe not. But it would be swept under the rug…

those people were a screaming mob? i’d expect to see that type of description in american tass.
Iconoclast commented:
“Mob”? What “mob”? For leftists, these folks were remarkably calm and civil – even if loud & manipulated.
I have no use for unions in general and the SEIU crowd in particular, but this was a peaceful, albeit, illegal demonstration which moved on. Yes it was disruptive, but then the purpose of a demonstration is typically to disrupt normal events to draw attention to a matter of concern (e.g., the 9-12-2009 March on DC).
I’m sure the hospital can find plenty of janitors and nurses’ aides among the unemployed.

Progressives have advocated hatred and violent activism against banks for almost a century, as they profess that banks are run by Jews. Think I’m kidding for a second? Just look at the comments the past two weeks by the Rev. Wright, President Obama’s minister of twenty-some years, claiming that the “Jooos” were behind the attempted control of the White House. Attend any SEIU rally and understand that “bankers and capitalists” is code for Jew.
New marketing, old message.
BobMan commented:
These union anarchists feel like they have the right to interrupt the operations of a private business because an officer of that business is on the board of the bank? As the women was telling the COP, they have no qualms about doing that sort of thing.
People that work in health services are just as bad as the public labor unions. They have no idea that other businesses have to go out into the world and bring paying customers IN. The healthcare people are so used to having all the business they can handle that they too have become immune from free market principles.
Why didn’t the (Union) COPS arrest any of them for trespassing and causing a disturbance on private property – inside if the work area?

This is hitting home folks. Healthcare is MY business. We do not need unions in this business.
I worked a hell of a week 03/13 to 03/18 just to serve my hospital/customer. Unions would have quit and clocked out.
The I.T. department being the gatekeeper has totaly locked us out of being able to teleconfence out of the facility and is a road block. Our systems inside the hospital are functioning normally but the I.T. department controls the transmission of data in/out of the hospital.
Imagine they are all union goons with no worries of getting fired or repremand.
This is serious folks. I work hard to serve the surgeons and hospital. I do not need the union attitude the further complicate my life. Unions HAD a purpose once upon a time, but not now. We have state and federal laws for such control and treatment of labor.

Time to equip the employees with ear plugs and then blast air horns until the “protesters” leave. Make sure you have water guns to hose them down with for the second round. You have to learn how to chase a nasty cat out of the house.
I’d change all my money accounts to a bank who did that.
RedBeard commented:
If a similar mob of goons entered my office screaming and chanting, they would have been ushered out a lot sooner than they were at this bank.
We don’t allow ANYONE to enter our private business unless they are customers, vendors, or others we have invited. Even door-to-door hawkers of miracle cleaning products and velvet Elvis paintings are told to leave immediately so they don’t interrupt business, so why on earth should we tolerate a much worse and far more disruptive invasion by dozens of chanting union goons? The bank in this video acted with far more restraint than the goons deserved.
squeaky commented:
all theatrics and for press. when a crowd shows up at your door as in wisconsin [recently] they don’t expect to be invited in for coffee and talk. much like the guy that stands on a busy corner here with his “will work for food” sign. no one is going to actually take him home to do chores, etc for food – more than likely they just hand him cash. after his stint he hops into a decent vehicle and drives away.

Any pic I see of SEIU members confirms my suspicion that they represent the very low end of the intelligence bell-curve. Can you imagine the productivity of our country without these intllectual ankle-irons?

Interestingly the reason why these unproductive people are unemployed is because they exist…it’s an interesting conundrum.
