Sarah Palin was on FOX News today to discuss the passing of Geraldine Ferraro.
Sarah Palin remembered Geraldine Ferraro as someone who inspired her. She said they talked about the day America would have a woman as president.
Sarah Palin posted this on her Facebook page today, via Cubachi.
My family and I would like to express our sincere condolences to the family of Geraldine Ferraro. When I had the honor of working alongside Geraldine on election night last year, we both discussed the role of women in politics and our excited expectation that someday that final glass ceiling would be shattered by the election of a woman president. She was an amazing woman who dedicated her life to public service as a teacher, prosecutor, Congresswoman, and Vice Presidential candidate. She broke one huge barrier and then went on to break many more. The world will miss her. May she rest in peace and may her example of hard work and dedication to America continue to inspire all women.

class act Sarah Palin and I remember being excited about Geraldine Ferraro running, even though it was as a democrat. Too bad it was then 20 years before we had another woman run this time as president but she was bumped off for a MAN who was of color. Women sit in the back of the bus, obviously.

This is what class looks like.Thank you Sarah Palin. You are an inspiration to me and my two daughters just as Mrs.Ferraro was.I am so proud of you and the way that you are unafraid to speak out and take the lead while the one running the country dithers and blathers and punts to some one else.Thank you for your dignity and compassion towards others.I can’t wait for the day that I will call you Madame President.BRAVO!!!!

Didn’t Ferraro jump on the “Palin is stoopid” bandwagon?

It doesn’t appear as though Ferraro called Palin stupid.

However, it seems as if she’s one of these hyper-females who’s just orgasmic that a “woman” is running. I can’t stand these stupid identity politics types, but then again—I’m not a woman. I wouldn’t mind if a muslim, hermaphrodite, midget was the president. As long as they cut govt, got a fair-tax implemented, national right-to-work legislation, and started private health savings accounts.

#8 Auntie, I don’t think thet Ferraro has ever said Sarah was stupid bur she was pretty condescending towards her during the debate shown on the clip.
Palins enthusiastic and warm appraisal of Ferraro proves her incredeble class and humanity again.

P.S: Apology for typos…

Way to go Sarah!! What a class act Palin is! She definitely has more decorum than O-buma in the WHITE house. OMG. . everything Obama does is scripted. . he does not have a thought in his head!
But regarding Palin and Ferraro. . .I recall a segment on Hannity (or some talk show) where he had the two together. Sarah was respectful to Ferraro then as well as now, treating her with Dignity and Respect.
It takes a good hearted person with a compassionate soul to have done that. . .and this is what we need in our next president!
AuntieMadder commented:
Thanks, Bogdan and jzaik. I asked because I thought she had but it’s been a couple of years ago, almost three years ago, actually, during a time that a whole lot of people were saying a a lot, especially about Palin, and with no one here having mentioned it already, I just wasn’t sure.
kay commented:
when it was suicide for any democrat to even make a quasi positive mention of republicans and especially sarah palin Ferraro did say the following:
Ferraro defended Palin from charges that the Alaska governor — who got her first passport last year — doesn’t have enough foreign policy experience.
“What she doesn’t know she will learn very quickly, she seems smart enough,” Ferraro said.
Now that may “sound” like a put down but I take it as a positive considering that the person we have in the Oval office seemed smart enough but has learned SQUAT and refuses to take a stand for fear it will make his poll numbers drop from 44%.
