It figures.
The liberal media wouldn’t report on the violent protesters, the hateful signs or the bomb plots. (More on that here.) What they did do was sue Governor Scott Walker for emails so that they could prove that voters were with them and the protesters and against Scott Walker’s budget bill.
They were wrong.
62% of the emails sent to Governor Walker supported his budget bill. Only 32% opposed it.

(Politico)
The Wisconsin State Journal reported, via Free Republic:
Gov. Scott Walker was right: The angry crowds in Madison didn’t tell the whole story of how Wisconsinites felt.
In the week after Walker announced his plan to dramatically curtail public employees’ collective bargaining rights in the state budget repair bill, a wide majority of the emails to him expressed support, an analysis of those emails indicates.
But that support was significantly boosted by emails from pro-Walker senders from outside Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism analyzed a computer-generated random sample of 1,910 emails from the more than 50,000 that flooded Walker’s office in the week after he unveiled his plan on Feb. 11. Nearly all were related to the bill.
The emails were released Friday as the result of an open records lawsuit brought in Dane County Circuit Court by Isthmus newspaper and the Wisconsin Associated Press. A settlement reached earlier in the week required the governor to produce the emails and pay the plaintiffs’ legal fees, which totaled just over $7,000.
At the request of Isthmus, the Center analyzed the emails. A team of reporters logged each of the emails in the sample as for or against the bill, unclear or unrelated. They also noted the location of the sender when possible.
Of the emails related to the bill, 62 percent supported it, while 32 percent opposed it. The margin of error for the Center’s sample size is plus or minus 2.3 percentage points.
What a shame. The state-run media was hoping to embarrass Governor Walker. Instead, they are left exposed as the leftwing hacks that they are.

They know this and this is why they are acting like the thugs and (now cornered) rats they are. Hip, hip, hooray!

I live here in WI and those numbers sound very plausible. Those of us supporting the bill didn’t issue death threats, run to Illinois, close down schools, occupy the capital building, picket Senator’s homes, vandalize businesses and private property, and import out-of-state thugs to do our dirty work. The wounds here are gonna take years to heal. Our governor definitely has “got nads.”

Peepeeitus, change your underware or diaper, get control of your bladder (I mean your mouth, of course) and face the facts. This will not end well for the unions because the unions do not believe in free choice nor respect the will of the people. They don’t even believe in free choice for their members, eg, card check and the elimination of the secret ballot, they don’t believe in free choice for their members to not pay dues if they do not wish, they don’t believe in the free choice and will of the people who totally abandoned the dems in Wisconsin and elected pubs to fix the spending and ingrained corruption such as the symbiotic relationship betwee the unions and dem pawns they elect into office, nor do they believe in allowing fellow Wisconsinites free will in choosing which side to support on legislation without threats, physical violence, and economic punishment simply because a voter chooses a different path from what they want. I don’t see many American values expressed in the union positions and actions.
Finally, some of us actually sign our real names to our emails as opposed to the cowardly act of adopting incontinent pseudonyms such as “peepeeitus”! Go read the constitution and get yourself some remedial potty training!

It also could be the decades of low test scores, with the teachers blaming everyone but themselves. They had too many kids in their class, they needed teacher’s assistants, they got everything they asked for and the scores were lower than ever.
Then they cried for parental involvement, but shut them out when they tried to get answers from these teachers. They hide behind tenure, and basically tell parents to get screwed. They have to make an appointment days in advance.
Stop making schools accountable to the government, and make them accountable to the parents. Thats how it used to be, and we had results then. But I fear its too late, the only way to solve this is to break up the public/govt schools and put them back in local control.
Schools have been corrupted by money, we know it and they know it. Thats why they fight so hard for more. They always got what they wanted. But they turn out a faulty product. The taxpayer that is forced to pay for this garbage/abuse has had enough.
Home school or private school until we break this once and for all.

I find it instructive the Journal did not note what amount of the messages opposing Walker’s efforts originated from sources outside of Wisconsin – nor, indeed, any numerical data to support their allegation his support was “significantly boosted” by writers outside of WI. Could it be the messages opposing the legislation were “astro-turfed” from organized labor as the demonstrations were?

Distorting facts and standing truth on its head be it inWisconsin or Paris during the murder & mayhem it perpetrated during Reign of Terror has been the hallmark of the left since the Jacobins. The modern left has been deluding itself for the entire 220 years since it first showed its vile vicious face, hateful nature, & totalitarian intent.
The American lunatic left has again tried to repakage itself using the Alinsky wrapper. Too bad the American public in Wisconsin and indeed across this vast land has awakened to the fact that the rhetoric of government employee unions and the demorat partyl despite its new purple union label and the Chicago style Aliskyite packaging is simply soiled relabeled tyranny & faux aristocrat totalitarianism that is more than 215 years past its sell by date.
MainStreet commented:
Throughout history, unions have served to elevate the living standards of the American working man. In times of limited government, the only recourse workers had was to band together and fight for what they thought was right. Conditions are no longer such that workers are alone. Government has grown to a point where its regulations are strangling businesses and unions have become overzealous to a point where companies are either closing down or moving to more friendly and receptive areas of the country.
If it weren’t for government bailouts, which are continuing today, the mighty US auto industry, would no longer be the force it once was on the world stage. Thanks to the unions, a new non-unionized Boeing plant is being built in Charleston, SC to produce its new 787 Dreamliner, which Everett, Washington so desperately wanted. For decades the northwest has been the hub of aircraft manufacturing; why now the change? The production of the Dreamliner is two years behind schedule due, in part, to crippling strikes by the union machinists. Boeing is willing to spend a $Billion to build a plant and train new workers to remove themselves from the high cost and crippling strikes caused by unions. Right to work laws have benefited the South.
Twenty-two states, including South Carolina, have “right to work” laws “which prohibit agreements between trade unions and employers making membership or payment of union dues or “fees” a condition of employment”. Union membership in these states have plummeted. This tells you that when government doesn’t dictate, unions have a difficult time justifying themselves to the worker.
Wisconsin is not a “right to work” state, and is suffering from aggressive public labor unions, with high salaries, benefits and suffocating work rules. FDR once wrote, “all Government employees should realize that the process of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the public service. It has its distinct and insurmountable limitations when applied to public personnel management”
If you are a Republican, and a government union employee, you see much of your dues going to Democrat candidates who do not share your beliefs. These same Democrats vote to increase the power of the unions.
The Wisconsin unions, with the support of Obama’s campaign organization, not being able to compete with reason, have resorted to intimidation, death threats and thuggery to advance their cause. Democrat legislators fled the state, refusing to honor their commitment to the voters to represent them.
Gov. Scott Walker and his Republican legislature, having campaigned and won overwhelmingly, would have been negligent if they had not heeded the will of the voters and reined in the power and costs of the public unions.
The results of this email study show that the people of Wisconsin get it.

Lamb: Where is the *Constitution?
[President Obama swore an oath to “...preserve, protect, and defend
the Constitution of the United States.” He should have sworn to obey
it.
Congress, alone, has the power to declare war, and to make all the laws necessary to engage in military conflict. The War Powers Act defines precisely what is required of the President before military action may commence.
President Obama launched 118 missiles and dropped 40 bombs
on Libya without a thought about Congress, or the Constitution.
He was quite concerned, however, about the United Nations. He hardly noticed the attacks on protesters until the United Nations Security Council approved a resolution authorizing the use of force against the Libyan government. Within hours after U.N. approval, the U.S. Military was engaged – without the knowledge or approval of Congress.
This event is proof-positive evidence of two staggering realities: Obama refuses to accept the limitations on government, and particularly on his office, imposed by the Constitution, and Obama considers the United Nations to be a higher authority than Congress.
This event should be grounds for severe
Congressional censure, if not impeachment.
When President Bush bombed Iraq, he had Congressional approval. Nevertheless, the left went berserk in protest, claiming that “Bush lied; people died.” In response to a question from a Boston Globe reporter, Obama said: “As President, I will not assert a constitutional authority to deploy troops in a manner contrary to an express limit imposed by Congress and adopted into law.” (Source: Boston Globe questionnaire on Executive Power Dec 20, 2007)
Obviously, Obama lied; people died. Where are the leftist protesters?
This issue is far more serious than simply pointing out again the duplicitous action (or inaction) of the progressive left. The fact that Obama disregarded the Constitution while submitting to the United Nations Security Council, and engaging the U.S. Military on the authority of a few leaders of other nations gathered in Paris, is behavior that cannot go unchallenged.
Obama's action is not simply endorsement
of global governance, it is submission to it.]

They have chosen to believe whatever their Unions tell them. Their choice is clear: Unions over family
So perhaps those Unions will do all the small things that brothers and sisters do for each other, but I’m betting they won’t. The Unions, however tell these family members that anything that happens to them now is our fault because we are evil.
These Unions have brainwashed the people into believing anything they want, down to turning their backs on their families. Hatred? I’m thinking that is the epitome of hatred: To turn brother against brother.

JC,
You must be a victim of poor public schooling. I just re-read every comment. There’s disagreement with piggish government employee unions – big surprise – but where is the ‘awful lot of hate for your fellow man’?
Ordinary taxpaying citizens have to pay salaries and benefits of government employees who are wealthier than they are. Ordinary taxpaying citizens have to suffer the consequences of a state economy ruined by lavish government union contracts. Ordinary taxpaying citizens have to suffer reduced paychecks, unemployment, and shuttered businesses while government unions are protected.
We get it. Your sympathy is on the side of the wealthy and privileged government labor unions. But spare us the crap about Christianity and your fellow man.

Rich Fallis commented:
I wrote the Governor twice expressing my opposition to his strategy, illegal tactics and serial lies. Specifically, I quoted Isaiah 58 2-3 concerning what happens to a society when it mistreats workers. Hint: it ain’t good.
The ‘violence’ you mention is laughable. Senator Grothman, said he never felt endangered and even expressed thanks for several members in the crowd who ensured there was no violence. Juxtapose that with the House of Representative members who were repeatedly refused entry to their offices by Walker goon cops, or in one case tackled and beaten to the pavement.
Ignoring perhaps a million people who cycled through the protests, it became apparent, particularly with the Governor’s arrogant bragging to the phone prankster ‘Koch’, that no amount of e-mails or logic or just plain old-fashioned Christian decency was going to have any effect. “Just send in your protest letters and put ‘em beside the shredder”. So if the numbers are skewed in favor of his actions, then you know why. We just gave up.
As a Christian, I am dismayed at how Mr. Walker’s actions degrade the faith, and I question just who this ‘trust and obey’ leader of ours is obeying. Did Jesus tell him to lie straight-faced and repeatedly?
I’m a 53 year-old white male. A conservative, who is sickened by the way the Governor has abused the word ‘conservative’ as his actions are more of what one might expect from a fascist than someone who believes in conserving the better parts of our social framework.
Clearly, Mr. Walker is a sociopath. Smooth, lying, caring nothing for people who just loves willing victims to yield to his will and control.
As the old saying goes, “You can put crap on my plate, but you can’t make me eat it.”
Ragin' Dave commented:
Rich Fallis, you are a liar and a con. Nobody was beaten by “Walker goon cops”. The Left, however, was captured on video repeatedly caught in acts of violence≥ Nobody was lied to by Gov. Walker, because Gov. Walker told everyone exactly what he was going to do when he was campaigning. The Left, however, lied repeatedly about it’s motives, about it’s actions, about the effects of the budget repair bill, and about it’s opponents.
You are nothing more than another useful idiot full of sound and fury. Good day, Sir.
