Horrible… Obama Continues Big Bush Unilateral Lie in Weekly Address (Video)

What a horrible lie.
Barack Obama told Americans in his Weekly Address that the kinetic military operation in Libya was the correct way to fight a war because the US has assistance from several allies unlike when Bush was in power.
“This is how the international community should work—more nations, not just the United States, bearing the responsibility and cost of upholding peace and security…”
Obama failed to mention that Bush had twice as many coalition partners in Iraq as the US has in Libya.

But, don’t expect the state-run media to correct him on this anytime soon.

Biden took a phone call about Libya from Obama while the president was on his Spring Break trip to Latin America and later had lunch with Obama when he returned to the White House. Biden’s total lack of public comment on Libya is striking. Some are speculating that Biden opposed the Libyan “kinetic military action” and has been “sent to Coventry“.

I’m sick and tired of being lied to. BO is dillusinal to think that he can lie to the American public and get away with it. He first consulted with the UN and Arab League without telling Congress what HE was going to attack Libbya. He seams to believe that as the King of the 57 states that he can do what ever he wants to. ENOUGH.
Even Sec Gates is having a tough time explaining why we are there. No military campaign has succeded with Air power alone . In the first Iraq war Gen Swartzkofp tried to sell the public that by overwhelming aerial bombardment that we would win the war. That has proven to be wrong and we still have boots on the ground in Iraq.
Eventually we will have troops on the ground in Libbya and for how long?
Now we find out that the rebels that we are supporting Have Al Qaeda conections and the Muslim Bros are taking hold in Egypt. WTF is BO doing? It possible that his grand plan is to enable the Islamic terrorist to conrol the region and to unltimatley destroy Israel.
Congress has not spoken up much about this attack on libya and after BO’s speech to his subjects on Mon needs to condemn this kinectic farce before it goes any farther. They control the purse strings and we need to get out of Libbya sooner rather than later . As Sec Gates said. We have no national seqiurity intrests in Libbya. Stop it now.

What the “international community” has done is jumped into a nascent civil war in a country that has 1/5 as many people as Iraq. Perceiving that there would be less resistance, could this be a case of international bullying under the guise of “humanitarianism?” Cowardly in so many ways…
And having “volunteered” the U.S. in their venture, I wonder what percentage of those costs mentioned by WTF will be borne by the “international community”
Here is something that in undeniably true; Libya posed no threat whatsoever to the United States or our interests.
Unlike the situation on Iraq, there is no set of circumstances or underlying actions such as hostilities, existing U.N. sanctions or even recently past atrocities to cite as reasons for conducting aggression, only the supposed threat of “potential” massacres, which have actually been occurring in neighboring Sudan for decades.
We are there because the French wanted us there, and Obama and the U.N. jumped at the chance.

I was watching Jacob Tapper interviewing Rumsfeld on ABC this morning. Tapper was trying to pin the Libya fiasco on Reagan. The liar czar media is doing its job in protecting the loser-in-chief and remaking history. On the Fox New roundtable Juan Williams was spinning the poll numbers on health care. Juan seems to think lil barry will not have a problem with that monstrosity in his re-election chances in 2012. It is really funny watching these clowns.

As Mickey Kaus points out at the link maybe it’s not the criticism of the policy (which has been pretty mild and there’s been a lot of GOP support) but the policy itself. But it can’t be that! Obama is awesome and France and the UN said ok! It must be those evil, anti-war Republicans who won’t get on board with this awesome new war.
I’d go back to the empty suit nature of this presidency. Obama launched a war and then went to South America for 5 days. Since returning he hasn’t been seen in public except on Friday to celebrate Greek Independence Day. President’s get support because they lead and ask for it. Obama has hidden first behind military leaders (Admiral Mullen was the only figure on the talk shows last week) and now Clinton and Gates (who can’t get their stories straight). Obama will be MIA for about 10 days before we hear from him tomorrow night. I think people would like to support him but he’s got to tell us what the hell we’re supposed to be supporting first.
