Taxes Are For the Little People.

(KC Citizen)
Yesterday, we learned that Claire McCaskill failed to pay over $280,000 on her private plane.
Today we found out more…
Claire McCaskill registered her plane in Delaware, where no taxes are imposed. Then she moved the plane to Illinois, where she avoided paying taxes before she moved it to Missouri, where she ignored paying her taxes.
But, apparently the far left Missouri Democrat doesn’t want to talk about it.
Today after a fundraiser in New York City, Claire McCaskill was confronted by a citizen journalist about her most recent scandal. She didn’t want to talk about it.
Air Claire took flight.
This was priceless.
It looks like Claire has a little fleebagger in her, huh?

You are so TOAST!!!!!!!

She’s gonna get run over standing in the street like that.
Her companion nearly did.
Missouri Ex-Pat commented:
Normally Claire loves a camera and a microphone. Nice job. We need more of this. At least she gave us her best side in this video.
Terry in GA commented:
I remember a town hall sound bite — McCaskell asked “What, you don’t trust me?” and was answered with a strong tea chorus answer “Nooooooooo!” She has been endangered since those days, but now she is on life support. The machine can only keep her alive for a temporary time.
RIP Senator McCaskell
Jim commented:
MSM refuses to ask her about her failure to pay taxes. CBS, NBC, CNN, and ABC seldom ask a Democrat Senator a difficult question.
Elmer Stoup commented:
The above story says the plane was registered in Delaware, then moved to Illinois and then to Missouri.
If no sales tax was paid to Delaware and Illinois, it’s possible, although I’m not sure, Missouri sales tax should have been paid when the plane became hangered in Missouri.

Ipso Facto commented:
All of a sudden, this outspoken bastion of liberaldom is revealed to be yet another miserable parasite who thought we were just a bunch of rubes who would carry her political luggage for her while she walked right over all of us on her way into the throne room, She fancied herself as someone who would compassionately rule over all the little people from her exalted station in life.
According to her script, the only lines we were supposed to utter were expressions of our gratitude to her for being such a dutiful custodian of our best interests.
Don’t you love it when such high and mighty hypocrites fall right on their own sword?
Noooo, we didn’t trust you Claire. But we do thank you for validating our suspicions about your poor character and dishonesty.

What’s the problem? She told the guy EVERYTHING SHE KNOWS. Nobody said you had to know anything to be a Senator.
ogee commented:
Where did she get that kind of money to purchase an plane like that on a Senator’s salary? Inquiring minds would like to know. Didn’t she get at least 300k from the tarp money? She’s BHO’s water bearing paid-to-play gal.

Air Claire
According to an article written by Jo Mannies on March 21, 2011, in the St. Louis Beacon, US Senator Claire McCaskill said her family failed to pay $290,000 in personal property taxes on the family plane. She claims to have put on her Auditor hat and found the error. So, it had nothing to do with the controversy of her use of the plane for political functions? She said she did not violate any Senate ethics rules; however she paid the Federal Treasury Department almost $89,000 to reimburse the government. If she did nothing WRONG, why pay back the money. And where is the money coming from? Could it be from campaign contributions?
McCaskill said, the family was unaware of the personal property tax issue and added that if the family had been trying to avoid paying taxes, it would have left the plane in a hangar in Illinois. Oh really, that didn’t turn out so well for Russ Carnahan who was storing his boat there to avoid paying taxes, until he was caught. Then like all good statists, he paid the taxes just like Claire is doing. Isn’t it ironic that Democrat/Statists like to levy taxes on the American people, but do not like to pay the taxes themselves, unless and until they are caught?
Then again, Claire is out for Claire. She will do and say anything to stay in power. While investigating abuses at nursing homes, Claire McCaskill met a rich owner of one, dropped that investigation and eventually married him. She lobbied against bringing the Democrat National Convention to St. Louis for fear it would hurt her reelection effort, even though it would have been an economic boom to the region. She takes both sides of an issue for political expediency, like she did with Obamacare. She voted for it when they needed the sixty votes, then voted against it when only a simple majority was needed for passage.
McCaskill claims no personal property taxes had been paid the county because of an oversight as to the state and local laws regarding such taxes and she said, “I take full responsibility for the mistake.” Nevertheless, later on in the article McCaskill said, “Missouri is among a minority of states that allow local governments to assess personal property taxes on planes kept in their jurisdiction.” It seems like there is a contradiction there. She said it was an oversight that she was unfamiliar with Missouri law on paying personal property taxes on planes, but then says Missouri is among a minority of states where you pay personal property taxes on planes. Which is it? BTW planes are specifically address on the Assessment Form. So, is she saying she cannot read?
The Missouri Republican Party has filed a complaint against her regarding the plane. Hopefully, in 2012 the citizens of Missouri will have an answer to that complaint and FIRE her. After all Claire stated, “if my walk doesn’t match my talk, then shame on me and don’t ever vote for me again.” They should not have voted for her in the first place.

Once again, I’d like to send out kudos to the lovely people of Missouri who continue to send this miserable excuse for a human being to congress.

She was already ‘toast’ after the HC vote. More like ‘burnt toast’ now.
Haiku Guy commented:
It looks like Claire Air had a problem with the shell company she set up to convert her travel allowance into a personal asset (the aircraft). So she wound up being forced to declare the asset to be personal property, and ran afoul of the tax laws. I have to say, I find it immensely satisfying when members of Congress are caught up in the snares they set for the rest of us.

Just keep in mind…her behavior is SOP. These creatures respect one another and protect one another. Each knows what the other is doing so they are abetting criminal behavior, Democrats and Republicans alike.
They feel entitled because of the many programs they have created and protected for what that imbecile on television refers to as “the folks.” When the criminal simpleton named Claire is removed, she will be replaced by another equally corrupt mediocrity. There’s only one way to rid ourselves of the culture that has destroyed this country and nobody is ready to do that, including this gutless writer.

POLICE TO THE RESCUE -TEA PARTY ANTI-OBAMA CARE PROTEST AT MO SEN. CLAIRE MCCASKILL
Local Tea Party patriots held an anti-Obama Care protest at Missouri Senator Claire McCaskills district office today at 5850 Delmar Blvd in St. Louis. The protest was organized by Americans for Prosperity and the St. Louis Tea Party Coalition.
Constituents peacefully protesting and the police arrive at the scene. The small crowd must have been threatening and people were protesting too close to the building so McCaskill’s office called the police.

ogee — McCaskill got her money the old-fashioned way. She married rich. In 2000, Claire McCaskill married Joe Shepard, a Kirkwood property developer of “affordable housing” projects. Shepard’s fortune apparently is about $15 million. They sure do live in a nice house off Dougherty Ferry, and now we hear they’ve got enough scratch to operate a private plane.
What’s involved in “affordable housing” development? Well, see, a developer gets a very low-interest (try 1% in the late 1970s) non-recourse loan from the government and tax concessions from state and local authorities, slaps together some cheap housing for various lowlife creatures, and then fills up said housing with the lowlifes in order to collect — you guessed it! — “direct rental assistance” from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. In other words, an affordable housing developer, in exchange for the hassle of dealing with the clients of the welfare state, get a “can’t miss” business opportunity funded primarily with public dollars. That $15 million of Claire McCaskill’s family wealth is money that Joe Shepard skimmed from taxpayers.
No wonder she felt so comfortable flying around in her private plane, billing taxpayers for the ride — thereby converting public funds to a private asset.
As for McCaskill herself, this creature has been on the public payroll for nearly her entire career since graduating from the University of Missouri Law School in 1978 (all but three of the past 34 years). She’s never earned a legitimate buck. For McCaskill to drive home to that taxpayer-funded Kirkwood mansion after demanding yet higher taxes from small business owners, whom she indignantly describes as “millionaires and billionaires” unjustly receiving “tax giveaways” (in the form of government not confiscating more of their wealth) — well, that takes some kind of nerve.
tom beebe st louis commented:
The saddest commentary on all of this is that the GOP, including the Tea Party faction of which I consider myself to be a member, can not come up with a candidate much cleaner than AirClair. Where are we to look for candidates with the common decency to live by the rules? Where is “Equal justice under law”? The ruling class remains unchallenged.
miriam commented:

There is no hassle involved. The government pays the landlord directly. All the tenant has to do is move in. Tenants can’t complain, or if they do, who will listen? so the landlord has no incentive to maintain or improve the property.
Nice racket.
MassJIm commented:
When will those citizen journalists wake up and realize that taxes are for little people! Why should wealthy liberal democrats have to be bothered with such mundane matters as paying their fair share. Rangel didn’t on his island home, John Kerry didn’t bother on his yacht, the secretary of the treasury did not. What’s the problem. It is the unclean rabble who roam the halls of Read’s senate that have to shoulder the burden while our betters ponder noble thoughts. She will get reelected anyway, so why bother.
MassJIm commented:
McCaskill married money and bought an airplane for which she paid no taxes. John Kerry married money and bought and bought a yacht for which he paid no taxes. Am I seeing a match made in heaven here? Just asking.
Dave-O commented:
For someone who has a private airplane to haul her around from place to place, Air Claire sure seems to be packing a lot of junk in her trunk.
