Peggy Was Wrong… Obama Didn’t Pay For Our Gas – He Doubled the Price

Worst. President. Ever.
If only Peggy would have been right. If only Barack Obama would pay our gas bill.
Then everything would be OK.

Unfortunately, it didn’t happen. Instead, gas prices doubled.
The Washington Times reported:

Feeling pain at the pump? Gas prices have doubled since Mr. Obama took office. According to the GasBuddy gasoline price tracking web site, the price of a gallon of regular gas was around $1.79 when Mr. Obama took office. Today the national average is $3.58. The lowest average price in the continental United States is $3.31 in Tulsa Oklahoma, the highest is $4.14 in Santa Barbara, CA. Four-dollar-a-gallon gas has arrived on average throughout California, and a number of other states are headed in that direction.

Eric Milito at the American Petroleum Industry blogged yesterday on the Obama administration’s failed attempts to address our nation’s energy security.

What Americans want is less political rhetoric – and more honest efforts to address the realities of our nation’s energy security, today and in the decades before us.

What Americans want is political leadership about meeting the energy needs of America’s families and America’s businesses…

…In the last two weeks, the administration has delayed an important infrastructure investment that would bring more Canadian oil to the United States – and with it thousands of U.S. jobs.

President Obama traveled to Brazil, where he touted the benefits of Brazilian oil, produced by Brazilian workers.

And yesterday, the president’s point person on oil and natural gas development, Secretary Salazar, released a politically motivated and deeply flawed report regarding so-called idle leases.

Among other things, it lists offshore leases that do not yet have approved exploration or development plans as “inactive,” regardless of whether there is exploration and pre-production activity going on: such as seismic or technical reviews of the geography…

…The disturbing reality is that 2011 could go down as the first year since 1957 that there has not been at least one offshore lease sale. Not one.

I’m certain that Americans find it difficult to reconcile that – and the fact that 85 percent of our offshore resources are off-limits to development – despite increased uncertainty in world oil markets and rising worldwide demand for crude oil.

This idiot reminds me of the lady that ran a red light and hit my dads van in Detroit.

She said the light was “chartreuse”.

What is amazing to me is the Teleprompter reader in chief doesnt seem to give a rats behind.

He parties, vacations, plays basketball, goes to concerts, ignores emergencies, and eliminates oil leases or fights them off shore and onshore. He stifles energy production at every point and I believe it will be his downfall in 2012. He has killed more jobs with his ignorant energy policies than most people can ever imagine. It is far more than those jobs he created in BIG Government.

The fool really doesnt want to be relected because he is ironically energizing the oposition with his lack of drilling and any semblence of a coherent or common sense energy policy.

The only hope I have is it is used against him big time in 2012 race and he spend $ 1 billion on relection and loses therefore wasting libs money and his pathetic policies putting him out of a job and maybe a tea party candidate can get in and reverse his disaterous policies in every possible way.

    Awwww….and this is cute.

I do not believe Donald Trump is going to run for President, but I for sure think he’s decided he knows how to force BO to produce his proof of citizenship.

Obama’s either clueless or diabolical. He limits the development of US resources, while encouraging other nations to develop the very resources he bans in the US. Limiting domestic energy production will lead to increased demand for a lower supply, which causes prices to go up and make us more dependent on foreign energy (which we will have to compete for because other countries like China are going to want it too)… which would be the diabolical goal, because prices going up might make people use less. But why do we need to use less? Because of global warming / climate change / climate disruption. If global warming is really a threat, of course. But other nations can use those dirty energy sources that contribute to global warming, and he encourages them to develop and use them, it’s just the US that can’t.

How about we forget global warming, and focus on developing an increased supply of energy, which would lower energy costs, and make us less dependent on foreign energy sources, and leave more money in people’s wallets, which means they’d be able to buy more things, which would create jobs.

Obama would rather punish you with higher energy prices and taxes to teach you to use less energy, you wasteful pig. We use too much energy–even though we can pay for what we use–and we should use less–just because Obama says so–and in order to make us use less he’s going to make it financially painful to continue using at our current level… because Obama thinks that’s best.

We all want to see the miracle energy source developed that will free us from needing oil… imagine the panic in the Middle East when that day comes! That will take time, for the technology to arrive and for it to become cost effective. Until then, we can start the ball rolling by developing domestic sources of energy for the fully functional and reliable systems we already have in place.

Counting the days until 11/6/2012… although morons like Peggy will go out to the polls and vote again for a Nanny in Chief.

She said one thing I agree with: “I never thought this day would happen”. Neither did we. Canadian citizenship is looking mighty, mighty good right now.

People learn through pain. I hope gas goes up to $8 a gal by election night 2012.

  • Scott

Obama loves to talk abou tall the bad stuff he “inherited” from Bush. Something tells me he’s not going to talk much about inheriting $1.79 gas from Bush.

Under my plan of cap and trade, energy prices would necessarily skyrocket.

Well maybe they will turn on him and not vote at all! PRAY
Remember how mad they were when they were not getting their money and was being shorted their hours for getting dead people to sign up to vote for dear Barry. Working for ACORN. Remember that video? It was so funny. They are going to be real ticked by November 2012. hahaha

    Boy, I sure hope NOT.
Because the economy would be in a death spiral if oil doubles. Even if it holds at just $4 – we’re at over $4 here – the price of living will be hell by 2012 and people will be sick of it.

There’s pain and then there’s fatal.

  • When it hits you in your own backyard…

To all the Peggys – Mzzzz Obama just bought herself a $1,000.00 handbag. About your mortgage and gas bill – I’m sure he’ll get around to you someday.?
