Was this a man-caused disaster dry run?
Camp Pendleton in California is reportedly on high alert after three Middle Eastern men tried to repeatedly enter the base last weekend on multiple occasions in multiple vehicles.
The Blaze reported:
KGTV had more on the incidents.
According to a Be On the Lookout (BOLO) alert issued to high-ranking Camp Pendleton officials, someone reported hearing hateful comments and terrorist threats from three men at a gas station in Oceanside Saturday.
Investigators at Camp Pendleton said the men asked the attendant for directions on how to get to Camp Pendleton before they left the gas station.
According to the alert, shortly after midnight Sunday, a rented silver Toyota Corolla driven by Naeem attempted to enter Camp Pendleton through the main gate. As it was being searched, Petrossian and Avanosian drove up in a black Mercedes, but were told to wait. Instead, they continued past the gate and onto the base. Following a short pursuit, the Mercedes was stopped and searched.

Hmmmmm, military bases are a large gun free zones (victim rich environment). Once your on you can cause hate and discontent at will for about ten minutes or so till the MP’s arrive.

I can’t believe these guys didn’t have their a**es handed to them or a rifle but to the head.
No this isn’t a dry run this is a “WE” run. The bomb s are there. The guns are there already.
When are we going to see that these disruptions are terrorist attacks BEFORE they kill.

I am currently in Britain. I have told friends and family about US/U.S., I have told them about Van Jones, Jennings, Chu, Napolitano, Holder and the rest of this fukked up crew that Obama rides with. They couldn’t believe it. My cousin told me this morning that following my little info session, he googled this bunch. He was stunned. Rodham is here in Britain, making a complete fool of herself. Obama has indeed knocked the U.S. down a peg.

I call Bull Crap on their excuses that they were lost or didnt’ know where they were. Liars. They should have not released them, even if they weren’t on a terrorist watch list. Not all muslim terrorists are repeat offenders, in fact many of them are first and one time offenders – suicide bombers.

Gus,
We wondered where you were. Glad you’re having a good time converting Brits.

Curious – What would have happened if there were 5-6 cars. With no one armed at the base except MP’s could they not be overwhelmed and the terrorists do some major damage?

Camp Pendleton way too close to home for me. Lots of military families living in my community. God bless them.

Remember that explosive-laden vehicles were used in the 1983 Hezballah bombings of US Marines barrack in Beirut (where the US response was to turn tail and run and not take revenge) in which 304 people were killed: 241 Americans, 58 French and five civilians. Explosive-laden vehicles were also used in the 1996 Khobar Towers (housing foreign military personnel) bombing in Daharan, Saudi Arabia, in which 19 U.S. servicemen were kiled.

When are we going to stop letting these people into the country?
All religions and all cultures are not equal. Some are savage and clearly dangerous. We did not have these problems before large numbers of adherents of the Religion of Peace flooded into the West. It’s time to stop the flow of poison.
JoeyO commented:
Since they rented the cars, they should be able to get some good info on them and hopefully track it back to the mosque they slithered out of.
Good thing we don’t have a Muslim problem or anything though…

Does anyone have an update on the air bag tampering? The report said that there were wires coming from that area. What the heck is going on?

If you go to a side gate at night, security is surprisingly laxed. I pulled off the side of the freeway to make a call and ended up by one. There looked to be three guards with one eventually (after a couple mins) driving down to my car (which was probably at least 80-100 feet away still), and approaching my window to question what I was doing. I don’t even think he was armed, and if he was his gun had to be holstered under his jacket. I told him I had just pulled off as I got a call, and he said that was fine but that I had to be on my way now or he would have to call me in.
Now granted, it was a fair distance from any buildings and entering at that location would have given pleanty of time for MPs to intercept a breech, but still those 3 guards seemed extremely vulnerable and who knows what kind of havoc could have played out if the person was nefarious

Penetrating Camp Pendleton is not quite as easy as it looks, although I have never had a problem entering. Sure, the roads looks open, and the parcel of land is huge, but how did a conversation at a gas station in Oceanside turn up in a BOLO a short time later?
Camp Pendleton is surrounded by a community that holds our Marines in high esteem. And they all have cell phones.

Barry has already brought in thousands of his muslim cousins and I have heard that he has signed an executive order for 80,000 more this year. This is why they need to build so many mosque with schools and entertainment centers and guess who is paying for it? It might be where they are hiding all the weapons to kill us. I AM NOT KIDDING! We will have no election by November 2012! It is probably where all the stimulas money went to support them.
I pray every day for an “Act of God”…. I am not sorry it is how I feel! If you set up some dominos and start the first one to fall they will all fall!

WTD,
Its not related at all. Being in the area, our radio stations have been talking about that “Perez Bust” quite a bit. It seems as though it was fairly innocent – well other then felony entry and impersonation…
Supposedly, the American (or I should say “US Citizen”) driver of the van was kind of blackmailed into the run. The illegals themselves were Mexican citizens and 1st time offenders without major records at least. Never heard anything about the other American in the van though.
So far, 10 of the 13 illegals were deported back to Mexico, with the 3 others being held as witnesses in the case against the Americans who, as far as I have seen, are being charged with nothing more then smuggling. It also appears as though at least the driver could get off easy if he can provide across the border info.
Oh, and it happened on March 14th, but somehow never got reported till the 21st/22nd

No weapons or contraband were found in the Mercedes, but base security noticed the air bag in the steering wheel of the Mercedes had been pulled out and re-attached with duct tape and had wires hanging free, the alert said.
According to the alert, Naaem told base security he was lost and was trying to go to Glendale. When interviewed, Petrossian and Avanosian said they were lost and trying to go to Glendale. The three men claimed not to know each other, the alert said.
Naaem, Petrossian and Avanosian were photographed and released after questioning, and a warning about the trio was posted to law enforcement.
However, later that morning about 8:30 a.m., Naeem returned in the Toyota and tried to get on the base again, saying he made a mistake and was trying to enter Interstate 5, the alert said. After his vehicle was searched, Naeem was issued a letter of debarment from the base and escorted to the freeway.
Since the incident, 10News learned high-ranking Camp Pendleton officials have notified other military bases and law enforcement of a potential threat.
According to a local security expert, that comes with good reason.
“I think after 9/11, anybody on any government facility should be worried,” local expert John told 10News.
John, who does undercover security and anti-terrorism work for Eagle Eye Security Solutions, did not want to be identified.
He told 10News the Camp Pendleton incident sounds like a possible probe or dry run and said their visits raise a few red flags.
“Number one: they went on base twice. Their stories didn’t stick, kinda wishy washy. Number two: the vehicle, the condition of the vehicle,” said John. “They could have been probing the security, not just cameras, sensors, individual security from MPs. Three: [they] could have wanted to know what background checks would have produced.”
A criminal background check on the trio conducted by the Department of Homeland Security found no “derogatory records” for the men. Additionally, the U.S. Border Patrol said the immigration statuses for the three men were confirmed and they did not appear on any terrorist watch databases.
This was probably recon. The air bag ? Well if you wanted to tuen your car into a bomb that detonated on impact if the driver was incapacitated by gunfire, the airbag circuit could be used as a trigger attached to a detonator: after all airbags unmodified have an explosive (gunpowder) to generate the gas to fill the bag.
