LIVE AMMUNITION FOUND OUTSIDE THE WISCONSIN CAPITOL BUILDING–
Angry leftists have been protesting at the capitol for two weeks.

The left has ramped up their vitriol for two weeks– NOW THIS—–
Wisconsin police told reporters today that they found live ammunition scattered outside the capitol. The left has been holding violent protests at the capitol for weeks.
ABC 5 reported:

Police say they have found live ammunition scattered on the ground around the Wisconsin Capitol.

University of Wisconsin Police Chief Susan Riseling says 41 rounds of .22-caliber ammunition were found Thursday morning scattered at several locations outside the Capitol. The revelation came as state attorneys asked a Dane County judge to order the Capitol closed for a security sweep. The judge made no immediate ruling on the request.

Protesters are in their third week of demonstrations against Gov. Scott Walker’s proposal to repeal nearly all collective bargaining rights for most public employee unions. State officials said about 100 protesters remain in the building, which has had limited access since Sunday.

Officials said that law enforcement officers do not carry those type of rounds.

Most of the bullets were found near the State Street entrance to the Capitol and around the King Plaza.

  1. I’m betting union goons did this as a not too subtle threat, but 9 will get you 10 this is going to be played that some “tea partier” snuck in there amongst all those thousands of protesters.

  2. wow really .22 cal wow so are tehy hunting rats? are the right wingnuts the gun owners? think u are confused as to who left teh ammo “right”?

  3. Only,

    Wow. Really?

That didn’t take long. Are you sure you don’t want to take this opportunity to blame Palin?

  4. Right now the DNC is trying to pin this on Bush, Palin, or the Teaparty.

  5. Maybe Allen west was there. I heard he chews .22 rounds like popcorn.

  6. Guess they were going to get a little bloody since their massah sent them to do that very thing. Liberals are so stuck on stupid, they probably brought the ammo and shot it from their rubberband guns and ran away, forgetting to pick up the “casings.”

  7. Just glad they were found on the ground and not in someones body. These people are dangerous.

  8. This was obviously placed there by Tea Party members to implicate the peaceful protesters in Wisconsin.

  9. last i checked u had to get in to leave it and plus they have metal scanners so who can get ammo in other tehn peopel using a back door? think about it

  10. Foo, I was try and get in before the troll but he beat me to the buzzer. What, no claming “Reichstag fire”?

“only” is like those goobers over at Politico claming the Teaparty is taking pictures of these union goons to make them look bad. Yeah, the tea party made the Hitler signs and shoved them into the hands of the innocent union protesters. Likewise, we planted .22 caliber evidence.

    Please.

  11. Only—One problem with that! No one took the time to do as you said they came into the building in mass, no one stopped them or asked them squat.

  12. Some leftard has a hole in his pocket.

  13. I wonder if the casings have any non-police finger prints on ‘em.

  14. Only, you ignorant ass. .22 rounds are made of what?
Brass casing and lead bullet. BOTH are non ferrous metals thus non magnetic.
They are also cheap. No telling who brought them there but the perp was cheap.
My money is on the union goons, cheap cheap.

    Powder is dry

  15. Officials said that law enforcement officers do not carry those type of rounds.

    ……………………………………………………………………………………………………….

Which means nothing, almost all LEO’s are accountable for their duty ammo. And they would never leave such incrementing evidence, so that little tidbit by officials is a false flag. The fact they got that out so quick suggest even the leadership has questions.

  16. .22 can do damage to people. I want to know who brought the ammo.

  17. BFD. Unless they find the person who put them there, this is pointless.

Not only is a 22 an effective round it often results in a slow painful death. Given the number of union thugs there, and no creditable evidence Tea Party members have ever carried at events, I say union.

  19. So they did bring a gun
just as their messiah told them to

  20. http://legalinsurrection.blogspot.com/2011/03/dane-county-wisconsin-sheriff-dave.html

    Dane County Sheriff Dave Mahoney,

“During 19 days of protest and demonstrations not one individual has been hurt or injured and not one incident or confrontation has broke out, contrary to fabricated reports, because, law enforcement has done collectively what they are charged with doing-providing public safety!”

  21. A lot of hitmen prefer the .22lr round. A heavy enough load in a small, quieter pistol.

  22. What lame and foolish comments, as if this was nothing.

First, loose ammo could prove fatal to a groundskeeper or bystander should it get ingested by a piece of equipment, whether a snow blower or lawn mower.

Secondly, children attended this event (redundant!). A .22 round can be set off by impact with a rock or hammer. (A friend of mine in my youth “shot” himself by doing just this very thing with a .22 round he found).

Thirdly, was this a form of intimidation, and if so, it was Mafia-grade. If so, this doubles down on the level of thuggery behind the union people who attended these rallies. It reinforces the words of the two Assembly members I have seen interviewed in the last few days, that if they give any concessions now, they will have given in to the thuggery and obscenity of the opposition.

Fourth, this could be the work of a radical provoking agent. Let us see how the union leadership responds. Will they vigorously denounce this for the danger it is to our democratic institutions or will they give the people who did this a pass? In doing so, we can measure their commitments: what is more important to them, the republican form of government and rule of law or that their union get its way? Further, what will the union members in Madison say and what priorities will they display: to the rule of law or to a union victory?

This event takes us a few inches closer to the orchestrated mob violence that was used to overthrow the republican/democratic governments of German and Russia and to justify imposition of socialist tyranny.

Video evidence would seem to contradict that statement. And it certainly has not seemed to me that law enforcement has been doing what they are charged with doing, since they have at least twice refused lawful orders.

  24. Holy smokes. That tears it. It’s well known that progressives always carry around a lot of ammo.

  25. Damn! That’s where I left it…..

Since when are officers allowed to wear anything that identifies them as a member of law enforcement while involved in such activities. Why the lack of response when a member of Government was surrounded, and why did officer public announce they wound not enforce removing protesters from the building or allow others to do so? The sheriff has jeopardized his creditability.

  28. Why are the University of Wisconsin Police in charge of the Wisconsin State Capitol grounds?

  29. I hate to say it but I have more than that rolling around in my trunk. 22lr is the little bittie bullet. Its the stuff that people plink with. Very cheap or at least used to be until Bernake devalued the dollar.

As others have pointed out above, the 22lr is an effective round to kill someone with proper placement. I had heard a statistic once that said 22lr has killed more people than any other caliber.

  30. WOW!! Violent leftists leaving ammo lying around! I hope this makes it easier on the Wis legislature to approve CCW!!

  31. “First, loose ammo could prove fatal to a groundskeeper or bystander should it get ingested by a piece of equipment, whether a snow blower or lawn mower. ”

Ammo needs to be in a pressure chamber (barrel) to produce velocity. Without pressure, the round just plops out.

  32. Does operation Phoenix ring any bells, and the weapon of choice?

  33. The ammo couldn’t have been planted. If conservatives had planted the ammo, it wouldn’t have been .22; it would have been .45ACP. Come on people, think. :)

  34. If conservatives had planted the ammo they wouldn’t have wasted it by leaving it on the ground. They would have planted somewhere else…

  35. @ #9

” scattered at several locations outside the Capitol.”

    O U T S I D E

    Think about it.

  36. Has to be the left, our side favors .243, 30-06 and NATO rounds.

  37. 41 rounds? One box of shells minus 9 rounds. Perhaps someone had a taurus model 94 ultralite revolver. 2″ barrel, 6 3/8″ long, 9 round cap., ultra-lite alloy. Loaded the gun, stuck it in their sock and ditched the leftover rounds. Most other compact 22 revolvers also hold 9 rounds, or less. No guarantee the police found all of the discarded rounds. http://www.taurususa.com/product-details.cfm?id=383&category=Revolver&toggle=&breadcrumbseries=

  38. And ONLY if it was extremely necessary.

  39. This is part of the sadistic fear mind games the fascist left thugs play. Jarred Loughner had 22 calibre ammo…GET IT ????? DO YOU GET THE MESSAGE ????

  40. Bob, ever the expert, commented:

“Ammo needs to be in a pressure chamber (barrel) to produce velocity. Without pressure, the round just plops out.”

Not quite. It only needs to “plop” out at a few hundred feet per second to penetrate a soft part of the body, like between two ribs or the few layers of skin and soft tissue covering the carotid artery. A boyhood friend of mine received a nasty wound in the arm from a .22 bullet that “just plops out” when he fired it by hitting it with a hammer. Had we not acted quickly, he could have lost a lot of blood.

  41. @only…

.22 rounds can kill a person. I have a .22 rifle with a scope, and a .22 revolver, and both put a severe hurt locker on someone’s day.

  46. I would also suggest that the ammo and the weapon were smuggled in by 2 seperate people. If the gun was detected, “Hey, what’s the big deal? Its not loaded.”

  47. Me I just leave the Glock in the car and bring one of two items. My titanium screwdriver or my teflon 6″ dagger. Anyone see how easily magnatometers are to get around.

Ain’t braggin if you can do it.

    powder is dry.

  48. One more thing. The loaded gun may still be hidden somewhere in the building for future use.

  49. Only a leftie would bring a .22 to a gun fight.

  50. This is exactly the kind of round the Mafia uses to kill people. The round penetrates the skull and then bounces around inside destroying the brain. Remember the congresswoman who got shot with a 9 MM. It went straight through and she is recovering. Had she been shot with a 22 hollow point, she would have been dead on arrival. If you want to kill somebody by shooting them in the head, this is the way to do it. The FBI will probably be able to get DNA off the ammo and find out who left it. A lot of these union thugs have records anyway.

  51. I’m a lefty, but I favor my .357 Magnum revolver. Who knows where the ammo came from, or if it was really there at all? The report could be made up. Just sayin…

  58. Militant #46 you are correct about the Glock murder weapon…but a 22 caliber rifle was in the news about Jarred Laughner….owned by his friend…a friend who is a free man ….Quote below is from Democrats for Progress… http://democratsforprogress.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1825

“One of the last times Loughner and Tierney saw each other, a mutual friend had recently purchased a .22-caliber rifle. Until then, Loughner had never shown much interest in guns, Tierney says. “My friend had just gotten a .22, and Jared kept saying we should go shooting together.” But Tierney and the friend who had bought the .22 demurred. “We were sketched out,” Tierney says, “and we were like, ‘I don’t think Jared’s a good person to go shooting with.’” That was in February or March 2010. After that, Tierney didn’t hear much from Loughner.

  59. if the analysis comes back with KFC grease smears, i bet anything it was the fat union guy who did it.

  60. Did not know that Donh, thx.

Would YOU go shooting witht the Joker faced Loughner? Not me.

Gun people that practice safety and shooting/hunting are the best of people.

Always gonna be a nut job in every crowd. This time the union goons are sending a message they are ready to go to the next level. That is why I conceal carry every day. You never know where the rape, robbery, car jack, murder is going to be. besides cops are just too damn heavy to carry around. LOL

  61. Rock, I think they do, indeed, wear their uniforms and park their marked cars in conspicuous places when working rallies, protests and such because their known and visible presence alone seems to remind most people to control themselves.

  62. 56

Nope, right handed, left wing, not necessarily a Democrat, voted for some Republicans in my day, never done an abortion and not a hypocrite either (although I did take the Hippocratic Oath). Confused? I guess I am somewhat confused about how some of you folks have come to your conclusions and your beliefs. I live in this great nation and sure see things differently.

  63. News story says 41 rounds found. Jarred laughner shot off 31 rounds. I believe there are 41 republicans in the WI house chamber.

  64. News flash: more rounds of ammunition has been found at the Madison City/Couty Building. Police are not saying how many or what caliber.

This is no coincidence. When you want to leave a message that things are about to go violent, what better message than to start leaving live ammunition in selected locations.

The patience of the protesters has got to be wearing thin. Walker has not caved in spite of all their hateful signs, their occupancy as squatters in the State Capitol, their demands are not being met.

If there is not some severe violence in the next 48 hours, I will be surprised.

    http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/news/117352738.html

  65. Also the other day they ran off protestors who were climbing up and looking in the office windows of Repubs.

  66. Those types of rounds were popular with the Italian mafia. You can shoot those rounds in very tiny guns which are extremely easy to conceal. It’s a small round but they’re perfect for close up executions. The Italian mafia killed tons of people with head shots from those things.

  67. 65
There will be no violence in the next 48 hours. There has been none to date and there will be none in the future.

  68. I guess I am somewhat confused about how some of you folks have come to your conclusions and your beliefs.

No worries that is quite understandable. Free-markets, the Rule of Law, personal responsibility, peace through strength, the sanctity of life….. are all quite confusing things to a statist.

Yeah, like nobody at all would have noticed Governor Walker walking around the grounds of the capitol building and then dropping in somewhere else.

  73. I guess I am somewhat confused about how some of you folks have come to your conclusions and your beliefs. I live in this great nation and sure see things differently.

The problem is that the things you support as a leftist will ensure that we’re not a great nation for long. Collective bargaining for public-sector employees is bankrupting the states. ObamaCare will destroy the best medical system in the world. The leftist refusal to let us exploit our own energy resources is costing us jobs and raising the prices of goods and services. Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security have saddled future generations with an insurmountable debt burden.

The Hippocratic Hippocratic writing Epidemics states that a physician must do good or do no harm.

By supporting leftist causes, you violate that dictum on a massive scale.

  74. Hmmm. A statist? Not sure. I do believe in personal responsibility. I believe in good laws. We all know which laws are good, right? Like that whole Golden Rule thing. As far as free markets, do you like having everything made in China? I’m no expert in that arena, but it seems like our good jobs have been exported.

  75. Now ammunition found a another site.

  76. “The left has been holding violent protests at the capitol for weeks.” Bull! There hasn’t been any violence, just American’s protesting for what they believe is right. Probably planted by tea party or some extreme right bastards.

  96. #97 Donna – no, I don’t think any of us are on the side of the “corporate master” – we just aren’t on the side of the unions. Maybe you should take a real look at what is actually going on with the unions in Wisconsin and what this bill really does.

Are you aware, for example, that the teachers unions in Wisconsin virtually force most of the school districts in the state to buy insurance for their employees from one particular company at nearly twice the price of any other insurance company – and that the insurance company is owned by the union?

Are you aware that the average teacher in Wisconsin makes more than twice the average income in the state – and in some communities 3 times the average income?

If you come here, you should know that this is a conservative website and those who frequent GP are conservatives – except for a few trolls who show up to disrupt the conversation. I guess I don’t need to ask which you are.

  106. So you admit the Sarah Palin crosshairs poster was a threat?

You really have a problem talking about the same thing other people are talking about.

Show us where Palin put cross hairs on someone’s face.

  107. A Poster with crosshairs over a Political opponents face? How are they Different?

  108. Oh, OK…FACE…ok..Slightly different. BUT NOT MUCH!

  109. Aaronz: “If I have to choose between corporations and leftist government, I’m going to be on the side of corporations every time. Corporations create capital, while government destroys it. ”
    Warren Buffet:
“Of course there is Class Warfare. Our side (the Rich) is winning.”

Perfect example of you responding with non sequiturs.

I say that I choose corporations over government, and you answer, “Of course there is class warfare.”

Since I wasn’t talking about class warfare or the rich, your post is meaningless.

  110. Either crosshairs are an invitation to violence or they are not. You can not have it both ways…

  111. Cheesus, Aaron, Short term memory loss?

Again, a response that has nothing to do with my question.

Show me where Palin put cross hairs on someone’s face. I’ll wait.

  112. Oh, but the corporations ARE talking about class warfare. You are just too dim to get it…

  113. “Oh, OK…FACE…ok..Slightly different. BUT NOT MUCH!”

You’re so right, concrete!! Palin must’ve been encouraging the murder of an entrie STATE!!!!

  114. “Either crosshairs are an invitation to violence or they are not. You can not have it both ways…”

Oh, but we can! Just like the libs have done! They reacted with shock and horror to Palins horrible map but haven’t said a word about the disgusting signs aimed at Governor Walker.

Sounds like the left is having it both ways…..then again, they always do.

  115. Either crosshairs are an invitation to violence or they are not. You can not have it both ways…

So, your claim is that Palin was calling for violence against entire states, since she put cross hairs on individual states on a map?

  116. Oh, but the corporations ARE talking about class warfare. You are just too dim to get it…

Again, my statement was that I choose corporations over government, because the former crate capital. I wasn’t talking about class warfare.

YOU brought up class warfare, because you can’t make a convincing argument that we should support government over corporations in regard to the creation of capital.

  117. Spewy is big with TEH STUPID!

I don’t know when I’ve enjoyed myself more.

Is it time to bring out the Slim Whitman tune?

  118. Spewy is big with TEH STUPID!

He’s definitely not a first stringer. His approach seems to be “Write something! Anything!”

Weird that he thinks desperately trying to change the subject is an effective debating tactic.

  119. #69 “There will be no violence in the next 48 hours. There has been none to date and there will be none in the future.”

No violence? By what definition of violence? People have been assaulted, a few have been the victim of battery. You GD lefties went berserk when a leftist harpy was knocked to the ground and pinned when she attempted to rush into point-blank range with Rand Paul, but when it’s your thugs and grunts dishing out the beatings nothing qualifies as violence, does it?

  120. #97: “If it goes on long enough, some corporate goon will cause bloody dissent, at that point, who knows where it goes.”

“Corporate goon”? What the hell protests have you been watching? The goons are the union thugs, the Democrats promising blood in the streets.

Get over your delusions. Corporations don’t have police power; the state does. Corporations cannot make it a law that you pay them; the state HAS.

  121. “Oh, but the corporations ARE talking about class warfare.”

    Yep. Uh-huh. Sure.

I don’t think you’re supposed to drink the water out of the bong.

  122. AaronZ,

Too True. We deserve better, smarter trolls.

Spewy is scary stupid. I don’t think he can read, either.

  123. I was not refering to the creation of capiltal. I was referring to the “Corporate Masters” Statement. I was trying to show a path…scenic route to be sure, but still…

  124. Water? Bong? BONGWATER!…great band….

  125. Spewy,

    This is for you.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXULwgzezUg

After all, it got rid of Martians. Surely it will work on you.

  126. I was not refering to the creation of capiltal. I was referring to the “Corporate Masters” Statement. I was trying to show a path…scenic route to be sure, but still…

Ah. Got it. Someone else was talking about “corporate masters,” not me, but you directed your response to that statement to me:

Aaronz: “If I have to choose between corporations and leftist government, I’m going to be on the side of corporations every time. Corporations create capital, while government destroys it. ”
    Warren Buffet:
“Of course there is Class Warfare. Our side (the Rich) is winning.”

Makes sense. That’s a good way to debate people. When one guy says something, respond to him by talking to someone else about a different topic.

  127. Perhaps this is Scott Walker’s “troublemaker”: as you may know, Scott Walker admitted to discussing plans to plant agent provocateurs to turn the protests into riots. Perhaps he realized this would be a better strategy?

I love how this article says that the protests were violent — the only violent protesters were in that part of Wisconsin with palm trees. And I say this as a Madison native who went to the protests. I saw with my own two eyes the complete lack of violence.

  128. Perhaps this is Scott Walker’s “troublemaker”: as you may know, Scott Walker admitted to discussing plans to plant agent provocateurs to turn the protests into riots. Perhaps he realized this would be a better strategy?

No, Walker didn’t say that. Ian Murphy said that.

Murphy: Right, right. Well, we’ll back you any way we can. But, uh, what we were thinking about the crowds was, uh, was planting some troublemakers.

Walker: You know, the, well, the only problem with that — because we thought about that. The problem — the, my only gut reaction to that is right now the lawmakers I’ve talked to have just completely had it with them, the public is not really fond of this…

    http://host.madison.com/wsj/article_531276b6-3f6a-11e0-b288-001cc4c002e0.html

From the context it’s not clear if Walker is saying that he thought about doing that, or if he thought about what would happen if someone else planted troublemakers on the behalf of Walker.

Either way, you got it wrong. Walker was opposed to the idea of planting troublemakers.

  129. Man, the trolls on this post really suck … we must have gotten the newbies here tonight. Or
maybe they got a pay cut and have scaled back their performance accordingly.

There’s really not an intelligent thought among them … I especially liked the crosshairs nonsense …

  130. “I saw with my own two eyes the complete lack of violence.”

Gosh, well that settles it. All those videos MUST have been false as long as YOU say so.

What planet do these loons live on?!?!?

  131. 89 – Hey Scott,

Tell me about these “word processors”? Can I really get rid of my IBM Selectric? I don’t really wish for the government or anyone else to wipe my ass, however. I don’t recall raising that as an issue. There are severely disabled people in a government run home in Union Grove, Wisconsin, called “Southern Wisconsin Center”. The aides do, in fact, wipe their asses, and provide near total care round the clock. They make $14.00 per hour. Greedy public employees!

  132. If these had been found at a TEA party, the POTUS would issue a press release and push for a GUN BAN!!! The sound on this from the LEFT is deafening!!!
