On Sunday morning a group of Wisconsin leftists gathered outside the home of State Senator Pam Galloway. They said they would keep coming back until she agrees to meet with them.
They said they will be back…
Disgusting.
WSAW reported:
A group of protesters organized outside republican Senator Pam Galloway’s house in Wausau Sunday morning.
On Wednesday she voted for the bill that stripped collective bargaining rights from many state employees.
The protesters say they will keep coming back until they can get a word with Galloway.
“A lot of people in the city are concerned about what’s going on in Madison. We want a Representative type of Democracy and don’t feel Pam Galloway is representing that.,” says Bill Neyens, a Wausau Resident.
News Channel 7 spoke with Galloway Sunday. She says she’s been meeting with teachers and concerned citizens the past few weeks and that she is willing to meet with the protesters at her district office.

If they would like to speak with the Senator, they should call her office and request an appointment. Anything else is stalking and harassment.

It’s sounding more and more as if some in Wisconsin would like for their state to be more like Minnesota.
Ain’t gonna happen!

We should picket outside of the homes of each of these protesters until they stop the harassment.

All the coverage seems to be getting the Democrat talking lies out there. Where is the truth? The 14 Dems left. They didn’t have a majority anyway so the result of the vote would have been the same. Day in and day out it’s Democrat whining and bitching.

That makes me mad – I would not meet with them at all when they are doing that kind of garbage.

Maybe it is time to start sending mobs to the homes of union leaders and union offices.

Radegunda commented:
Hey, lefty thugs: a “representative type of democracy” doesn’t mean you always get what you want. The voters elected Republicans to protect the interests of the general public. You guys want “representatives” who serve a narrow interest group at the expense of others.
A large majority of American voters did not want the health-care takeover that the Dems pushed on all of us. But those of us who opposed it never camped out at Dem. legislators’ homes trying to intimidate them into undoing it.
Conservatives actually follow the established procedures of representative democracy. Leftists use mob intimidation tactics and say “this is what democracy looks like.” Leftists are people who have never grown up.

Hmm…aren’t there any Tea Party people in Wausau who would come out and make sure these Union goons don’t get lonely. And make sure they don’t cause any trouble. Come on, Tea Party and all patriots in the Wausau area, now is the time to act. Let’s not get lazy and complacent, or we will be in worse shape than we were in prior to last year’s elections.

Public debate and protest are in the same catagory. Being angry and taking that as far as trespassing on private property, putting you danger-close to an elected official’s family, is another thing entirely. Residential zones should be off limits to protests. If they want to protest near a private residence, they need to do so at the nearest municipal property, most likely a park. Which they will summarily trash if their MO remains intact.
There’s public discourse in all it’s varied permutations and then there’s what both sides should consider out of bounds.

I wish I had time to go back and gather up all the woe-is-us articles over the past 8 years – in California, every year the schools get the bad news, the county gets the bad news, no money, money is tight, budget cuts budget cuts, blah, blah, blah.
Every year for the past three years, in my kid’s school, they have threatened to cut band and art. Every year they chisel away at it. The band teacher is down to half time, saved last year by parents raising money.
The other teachers were willing to take a pay cut to allow the school to keep him on. They weren’t even allowed to vote on that.
My point is – bargaining doesn’t always mean you get a raise (or shouldn’t) – it oughtta mean working things out. Arriving at solutions that are best for EVERYONE.
I haven’t seen the Unions do one damn thing to help. IN FACT, they have backed and endorsed the same worthless culls in Sacramento (yes, Democrats) who have spent their state into oblivion.
No one in California has Scott Walker’s courage. (Nor that of the Republican legislators in Wisconsin). California will end up taking the cowards way out, finagling a way to declare bankruptcy in order to get out from under the burden of the Unions. Sooner or later, that butcher’s bill has to be paid.
We need a Walker in California.

We either just don’t sink that low, or, like W. B. Yeats wrote in The Second Coming:
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
I think it’s a combination of both.
This may not be a bad thing, in the end:
The meek shall inherit the Earth, so says my God. Read the Beatitudes again:
Matthew 5:3-12 (AV1611-KJV)
3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Who are the Union thugs and loud, angry, violent protesters? Who are the terrorists? Who are the opposite of all who are mentioned above? I remain hopeful in light of the above when contrasted with the recent events in Wisconsin. Their day will come. They will kneel before the God they dismiss, they will acknowledge Him who made them, and they will be ashamed. God will judge them as He sees fit. I pray that he has mercy on them in the end, for most of them truly “know not what they do”. They were deceived, too.
Virginia commented:
Just a quick comment to Ginger…speaking as another tea party fan…never accept the disgusting label of the left as your own. When they call you a tea bagger…ask them if that makes them the tea baggee….and check out what it means online. Assuming Ginger is a female…then neither you nor I can be a “tea bagger” which is a gay slang for the man whose equipment is sucked by another man. Please do not use this term …the left used it to mock you…it is not necessary to accept it.
To the many comments…I agree… tea party folks come to a public place for which they usually have a permit…state their protests without damage or attacking others and leave neither trash nor harm….and they do not have to be carried out. That is because they protest with the respect of decent citizens. Going to someone’s home and threatening them is a tactic of the left and people who are not good citizens. I don’t believe the founding fathers idea of free speech was lynch mobs. And to those who think this is a democracy…no it is not. Our founders didn’t approve of democracy…this is a republic and it is the rule of law not men that is our foundation. Democracy and the rule of men not laws is the province of the angry mob. Jefferson called democracy mob rule.
