Another Top Klansman Seeks Political Office As a Democrat

Another former KKK leader is running for office in Florida… As a democrat.
Democrat John Paul Rogers was the head of the United Klans of America, an organization that was one of the most violent branches of the KKK.
WTSP reported:
A mayoral candidate in Lakes Wales is speaking out about his involvement with the Klan.
70-year-old John Paul Rogers wants to become the next mayor of Lake Wales, but critics say he could have a tough time bringing the town together because he’s a former member of Ku Klux Klan.
Rogers, who is currently a commissioner, spoke with 10 News Tuesday afternoon and says, “I’m not running for the Klan for Grand Dragon.” That’s because Rogers has already had that title.
He blames his opponent Mike Carter for bringing up his former involvement in the United Klans of America.

Sorry, ogee. This IS the Democrat party. Has been since the Civil War. Right up through the 1960′s the entire South was universally Democrat. Couldn’t get any bluer.

“Half of them don’t read or write that well,” says Clinton Horne, a black community activist. “People got snookered.”
In regular balloting, Rogers’ 179 votes put him third in a field of four. But he got 282 absentee votes — 43 percent of the total and far more than any other candidate.

Dems put japanese americans in internment camps, put native americans on reservations, filibustered the civl rights bill, and are still callin people like herman cain “monkey”.
