The difference between voting present and real leadership.

(Big Hollywood)
Yesterday, Sarah Palin called on NATO to enforce the no-fly zone over Libya.
From her Facebook Page, via FOX Nation:

It’s a little perplexing looking at the White House today. There was a statement on the horrible earthquake in New Zealand, and certainly our hearts go out to all those affected by this horrible natural disaster. But nothing on the slaughter in Libya? The protests in many places in the Middle East affect regimes that have cooperated with the U.S. on issues from peace with Israel, fighting al Qaeda, hosting our military forces, or cooperating against Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Gaddafi’s Libya is different. For four decades, this tyrant has held power. Gaddafi was Osama before Osama hit the scene. He ordered the bombing of a disco in Germany to kill Americans. When he paid the price for that – after President Reagan rightly ordered retaliation – he directed his agents to blow up Pan Am Flight 103. They did, and more than 250 innocent people died. Gaddafi tried to come in from the cold in 2003 – scared by the demonstration effect of Iraq. But we should have no illusions. Gaddafi is a brutal killer and Libya – not to mention the world – would be better off if he were out of power. Now is the time to speak out. Speak out for the long-suffering Libyan people. Speak out for the victims of Gaddafi’s terror. NATO and our allies should look at establishing a no-fly zone so Libyan air forces cannot continue slaughtering the Libyan people. We should not be afraid of freedom, especially when it comes to people suffering under a brutal enemy of America.

Today, NATO officials responded.
YNet News reported:

NATO forces may attack forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi if the Libyan air force continues to bomb anti-government protesters, the London-based al-Quds al-Arabi reported, citing a European official claiming the US had threatened to intervene in the violence.

Oh…. And, of course, Sarah Palin isn’t even in office.

Meanwhile, somewhere hiding out in the White House, Obama voted present.

  1. I love this woman.

  2. Gee, usually a president does this. This is a good sign

  3. This is real leadership. Maybe Obama is silent because Wright and Farakhan are friends of Gaddafi. Or maybe the West had a large investment in Libya. Remember the freeing of Pan Am culprit?

  4. Obama for the good of the nation should ask biden to resign and appoint Palin as his VP. Then leave office…

  5. The entire Middle East is in turmoil and yet the Boy-King is failing to lead. Pitiful.
Sarah Palin has more leadership skills than Obama & his cabinet combined.

  6. Wow. I’ve never had anything against Sarah nor was I a big fan of hers but now, I actually like her. We can do a lot worse in ’12 than Sarah, and if she can actually get things done without even being in office that’s pretty cool.

  7. Sarah is what a leader should be…A person of courage, conviction and most importantly…action!

    2012 can’t come soon enough!

  8. So NATO “responded” to Sarah Palin’s Facebook post did they? Oh brother. See this is what I’ve been saying about this blog. There is a genuine story here, Palin’s Facebook post, which contrasts her response to Libya with Obama’s non-presidential response. Leave it at that. But nooooo, Jim has to go all out with the headline again and claim that NATO makes important military decisions based on a Facebook post. This is why this blog is starting to look more and more like a joke liberal blog meant to ridicule the right. Such a shame.

  9. Sarah Palin, President in exile…..

  10. Jason,

I think you have a skip in your record.

  11. Pres..ent Obama voted “present”

  12. al-Bama’s spiritual guides and mentors Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan, who are close friends with al-Qadhafi, ordered him to leave Muamar alone. So, he votes “present” again.

  13. If the Joint Chiefs do not remove Soetoro they are as crazy as he is! What is the holdup? Soetoro is clearly “damage goods” and the entire world knows it including every enemy the USA has ever had!!!

    Arrest Soetoro NOW!

  14. Wow. I forgot what presidential leadership was like. Can we just swap Sarah and that guy keeping the chair warm and get American working again?

  15. You said, “Meanwhile, somewhere hiding out in the White House, Obama voted present.”

NO! NO! NO! Let me make this PERFECTLY CLEAR. Obumble was having discussions to determine options regarding whether he was going to vote “present”.

  16. Obama is a disgrace

  17. Sarah sure seems pretty presidential to me. I’m just sayin’…….

  18. Is Jason worried that Palin might SEEM more presidential than that other guy?

  19. I hate to say this, but the troll has a point. Granted, if one parses the wording, it can be interpreted as NATO responding to the events in Libya (rather than Palin). It’s a stretch to say NATO responded to her, rather than merely acted according to her wishes by coincidence, as it stands.

  20. Obama is too worried about the union’s problems in Wisconsin to bother himself with Libya and the Middle East.

  21. Hey Jason, (tongue in cheek) – No, Obama waited for Sarah’s response to see what a real leader would do. Then he contacted NATO.

  22. This will cause a change in many peoples minds about Sarah Palin. She will no longer be perceived as a lightweight. Many will now take a serious look at her. I am now doing that. This is no small thing folks, it’s a really big deal. And as a bonus, NATO responded to her. Anyone want to speculate why NATO responded to a private citizen’s facebook page? Anyone?

This had to set Obama and his socialist crew back on their heels, and rightly so. If NATO institutes a no-fly or other action to stop Libya’s air force, it will be a very, very big deal indeed. And Sarah will have saved lives in Libya, something our President had not done.

  23. Jason seems rather butthurt. All we need is airhead now to weigh in reagarding this post, and everything will be in balance.

  24. @chisum: so you think NATO decided to take military action based on Palin’s Facebook post? You must be stark raving mad.

@toongoon: where in my post did I criticize Sarah Palin, or praise Obama, or otherwise make any similar point? Nowhere. I did however, criticize Jim Hoft for making yet another ridiculous claim that has no basis whatsoever in reality.

Now then. How many of you actually think that NATO sprung into action in response to a post on Facebook? Let’s have a show of hands here. It would be interesting to find out just how many of you are truly nuts.

  25. @21
You’re right. Public unions losing SOME of their bargaining PRIVILEDGES is much more important than thousands of innocents being murdered by military jets. obama = FAIL!

  26. Jason,

    Are you being deliberately obtuse?

My reference to you and a broken record was in response to your continual whining, complaining and criticism of Jim Hoft.

You only come here to carp.

  27. I didn’t say that you criticized Palin. Relax.

  28. @Somewhat Reasonable Voice: the name is funny, I’ll give you that. However I feel I must point out that it’s somewhat unreasonable to entertain the idea – for even one second – that a military organization is moved to act based on a Facebook post, even one by Sarah Palin. All I’m asking for here is a little sanity and objectivity. If that makes me a “butthurt troll” then so be it.

No inferences allowed for the “Chillbilly from Alaska”.

  30. Jason, of course you are correct that it is highly unlikely that Sarah Palin’s facebook post had anything the do with NATO’s response, but the interesting thing is that it is easier to make a case for that than for them responding to our current President. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think this may be the first time that NATO has responded militarily (or at least threatened to) to an international crisis without the explicit urging and leadership of the US President. Personally I think that’s a good thing for NATO, but it reflects pretty poorly on our current leadership.

  31. A facebook post? Really? What a great leader she is!
Jimmy must have sprouted major wood on this one. Dear Jesus what next.

  32. NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen says the Western military alliance will not intervene in the Libyan conflict.

Fogh Rasmussen said Thursday the alliance has received no such requests and that in any case any intervention must be based on a United Nations mandate. He made the comments in Kiev where he was on an official visit meeting with Ukrainian officials.

That Sarah has NATO Guys so afraid of her facebook posts!

  33. @chisum: my “continual” complaining and whining? One post today, one yesterday. Both quite reasonable in response to ridiculous headlines that Jim had written. I guess if that’s your definition of “continual” then whatever.

@toongoon: you suggested that I was “worried” that Palin might come out of this looking good. If by that you mean that I am “worried” that Palin will be credited for stirring NATO into action – via Facebook – then no, I’m not worried at all. I am worried, however, about the sanity of anyone who believes this to be the case, including Jim Hoft to used to be a very level headed blogger.

  34. You know Jason, NATO didn’t respond to anything that the won said, but they did say make a statement after Sarah Palin. Let us entertain the thought that Palin has more leadership capabilities, well, we know she does and maybe, just maybe NATO did respond to her. Nothing proves otherwise. Don’t be such a stick in the mud.

  35. If you people actually believe a ghost-written Facebook page was read and taken into consideration by NATO during any discussions on the situation in Libya, then you are more delusional that most of us thought.

  36. I think Obama is scared to death to make tough calls because he can’t handle being wrong

  37. Well well well, the Poo Chucker is here.

    Welcome AirHead.

  38. @toongoon: I will repeat, once again, that the likelihood of NATO making important military decisions based on a Facebook post is so tiny as to be negligible. Please stop suggesting that they did. It’s beyond ridiculous. You have many reasons to admire Sarah Palin, you don’t need to fabricate anything.

  39. Jason #40, then why does the Whitehouse AND they MSM respond to everything Palin puts on her Facebook page?

  40. My life is complete since airhead now has commented. Jason, you’re taking this way too serious. Lay off the coffee for a day!

  41. Airhead suggests that Palin has a ghost writer? His own diety obummer can’t spit out a comprehensive sound without a teleprompter. You aren’t going to tell me that his verbal trash is is his own are you? In addition, about everything he says is a lie. Sarah speaks the truth, though you and your buddies in the media twist it to make it sound like a lie.

What does the fact that she is black have to do with anything? Jim Hoft, you really set yourself up for criticism in the most careless of ways.

    2011/01/20 at 10:29 am

Sometimes Jim posts stuff so ridiculous on this blog that I really don’t know if it’s just his sense of humor or not! I hope it is.

    2010/10/08 at 8:58 am

    Beaten?

Jim, you’ve ruined your credibility of late. I don’t know why you feel the need to keep exaggerating like this. Call it like it is, the man was verbally abused and physically ejected from the crowd. But he wasn’t “beaten.” You’re just leaving yourself open to scorn and ridicule with these write-ups. Once was a time when Gateway Pundit was one of the best sources of information out there, I really don’t know what’s happened of late.

    2010/10/02 at 8:31 pm

This would be a really good blog if Hoft just stuck to the big scoops and avoided tacky spin like this.

    2010/07/21 at 8:44 pm

Yes and of course blind worship of Jim Holt and complete and utter unthinking acceptance of everything he says and the refusal to admit when he’s wrong shows “brains.”

    2010/07/21 at 2:47 pm

I just can’t make my mind up about this website. It seems to consist of an inconsistent mix of genuinely worthy reporting and outright silliness. I think the ratio is about 50/50. Jim Hoft is sensible and accurate in one post, then the next he’s going way over the top, stretching things way past any reasonable notion of elasticity and generally trying to spice things up with contrived drama. This is one example.

That’s not to say I don’t enjoy this blog immensely and appreciate some of the fine work that JH contributes to the cause, but damn his output needs pruning sometimes.

I could go on but you get the idea.

  43. NATO needed Palin to make a stand against Libya so that they spring into action.

  44. @44
Yeah, it sounds like complaining and whining. Jason, you really should relax and not take things so seriously. It’s not good for your heart.

  45. Hey kids! Here’s a GREAT idea! During an enormous international crisis, while our Dear Leader is hiding under the bed instead of leading, but Sarah Palin is calling for action in the responsible manner of a leader, let’s focus instead on the precise wording of a Jim Hoft post. Yes, that’s the ticket. Priorities.

    [insert rolling eyes here]

  46. @47
Well that sounds immature, why would we do that?

  48. Just a “Facebook” post??? Seems like a few of you have forgotten that 30+ % of the US gets their news by the Internet. Her Facebook posts have been a major thorn in the side of the communist in the White House.

Of course we could assume that her post on Wednesday and NATO’s response on Thursday was coincidence, but coincidence is not a Kosher word and I don’t believe in it.

She advocated an action that was an entirely new idea for this crisis. The White House was silent for 9 days on this.

If you think NATO doesn’t follow the Internet and watch Sarah Palin, you are the one who is deluding yourself. Watch the MSM heads explode in response to the Facebook page that you say nobody pays attention to. Wake up! The White House has responded to her Facebook posts, so has the MSM and now you find it “amusing” that anyone would conclude that NATO responded?

@Jason, Hell know I don’t believe for one minute NATO responded to Sara Palin. I do however, have great concern that a “non” politician responds with the correct procedure in dealing with the sensless killing of innocent people before our President does! Relax Jason!

  54. compare and contrast: did anyone from the president down say anything newsworthy about a coherent policy for dealing with the situation in libya? how about all those super smart media hacks, er pundits…chris matthews, the short clinton stooge, couric, maddow, schultz? what did we hear, cricket sounds from the usual buffoons. they only make noise after their dear leader, the president, waffles his way to making an official statement. Palin, on the other hand, does take a position. imagine that, the dumb snow billy from Wasilla, Alaska, once again sticks her neck out and takes a stand. doesn’t seem so stupid or reckless to me. this is what leadership looks like, all others are reporters, back seat drivers, or cheerleaders after the fact.

And responding to Palin faux proclimations ( whether on Facebook or Twitter ) reveals many things; chief of which is that she relies primarily on glittering generalizations and over-simplifications of complex issues. And you guys fall for it every time…..

Are you guys really still pushing this teleprompter nonsense like it’s some ironclad proof of Obama inexperience? Your sainted Ronald Reagan pioneered the use of a prompter and George W. was quite fond of his as well. There’s plenty of footage available of Obama speaking at length without a prompter directly to his Republican rivals and he mops the floor with them. The best example of this is when discussion health care reform —

  60. As soon as I saw Palin speak on this yesterday, I knew she was right. Meanwhile, Obama ignores the Middle East crisis for yet another party tonight and whatever free time he has after that will be dedicated to leading the union troops against the American taxpayer.

  61. What have we gotten from two years of Obama? The economy is in ruins. Our foreign policy is in shambles. His own Democrat Party is in tatters having lost over 700 seats. And now he’s ignoring the Middle East crisis while to focus saving the rear ends of his union buddies.

  62. #60

I’m guessing you were to afraid to clink the link I provided.

Also, no one is saying that Reagan or Palin couldn’t speak without a prompter ( or crib notes scribble on their hands….. ) only that you people have this hypocritical obsession with Obama and his prompter.

So, whenever you can muster the courage to see just how well Obama does without a prompter, your healing process will have begun; as ignorance is one hell of a sickness. That’s one of the few facets of Right Wing mentality that’s actually curable.

  63. Thank God for Sarah Palin. She was instrumental in helping the Right take over 700 seats from the Left. She raised tons of cash for Conservative candidates, brought Conservatism back into the national dialogue, generally picked excellent political candidates, put Obama on defense when she correctly called the death panels, and is a general pain in the ass to the all-Palin-all-the-time Left.
    Go Sarah!

  64. Can someone fly Sarah to the White House tonight so that at least while Obama is wasting our time and money at the Motown concert he couldn’t possibly miss and the Middle East burns, SOMEONE will be there to answer the White House hotline?

  65. I hope to God that the Republicans/Tea Party just keep bragging about this. Don’t be quiet any longer Repubs. Everyday there is something new to make BHO look incompetent, but who’s even saying anything besides Fox?

  66. Maybe former Governor Palin’s writers should demand on her Facebook page
that NATO attack Iran in order to stop its acquisition of nuclear weapons. I mean, seriously, if she has that kind of influence with NATO, let’s use it.

  67. Oh boy. She has no influence with NATO. Let’s not be silly. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2011/02/24/AR2011022402348.html

  68. Boy you Liberal trolls make is SO easy to jerk your chains around here! Just the mention of Palin and you come running!

  69. Do you really believe for one second that NATO acted on Sarah Palin’s word? I guarantee that the decision makers at NATO had no idea of opinion. She does not carry that stick.

  70. How about a co-Presidency? Palin can be the Commander in Chief and Run the Executive Branch. O can play golf, eat ice cream and vacation. Sounds like an equitable division of duties to me.

  71. Truck Driver, they not only come running, but they come red-faced and sweating out of sheer fear of that big scary 5’4″ tall woman. She’s almost as big and scary as Michele Bachmann, another petite woman that strikes fear into the hearts of libs at the mere mention of her name.

Of course, being an attractive woman is a negative to a leftie, as well. It’s much better having Helen Thomas as Miss February on the Girls of Leftism cheesecake calendar.

  72. Jason, I am sure that Jim did not intend for his post to be taken literally!

Your protests have a faint smell.

  73. LOL Once again, the RWNJs have been punked, and can’t figure it out. HILARIOUS!!! You nuts REALLY think NATO would respond to Stupid Sarah on FB?? Let alone take her advice on FB? Yikes. Scary.

  74. Sure Nikki, just like you believe everything you read at Media Matters and repeat it like a parrot.

  75. Let’s cut bto the chase! It doesn’t matter if NATO responded to Sarah Palin’s posting. What matters is that Sarah Palin made a very presidential response to a crisis, and bo was silent. If she continues in this fashion, we just may find outselves with a pit bull w/lipstick as our President! Those with eyes to see and ears to hear noticed this from the first time she spoke. A lot of people (on both sides of the aisle) have invested a fortune trying to make her look bad – but you can’t do it. All of the people yelling and screaming against her are only hurting themselves. The fact is that we have a genuine article on our hands – as we did with Reagan. And just as with Reagan, she also seems to be Teflon coated! I believe that the “Teflon coating” is called “truth”. Very, very few politicians can lay claim to the truth, and the ones who can usually find their careers cut short. I wish her the same success as Reagan. I know this post is going to throw the libs into a feeding frenzy. When will they learn that they have thrown their best punches, and she continues to grow stronger. When you gonna learn?

  76. The media has been toutng the meme that all.these rebellions are facilitated by facebook and twitter. Palin posts her opinion and then NATO takes the same suggested action does not prove a cause and effect relation but rational people can not dismiss it as a possibility. Actually the no fly zone is an obvious common sense response as opposed to obama and hillarys “smart diplomacy”.

  78. Sarah Palin , has shown real leadership ability – To proglodites this is strike 1 , a real leader to them should be a flip flopping liar and an abject coward .

Sarah Palin believes in God – OMG ! run for the hills ! She actually believes in something and stands by it . Strike 2 a leader to them should be a flip flopping liar , an abject coward and believe in nothing EVER ! ( this is where the flip flopping comes in ).

Sarah Palin is for limited government – this to proglodites is the BIG strike 3 ! Limited gubment , run for the hills again ! anyone who is for that is a loser , lunatic , and a big THREAT ! Sorry Proglodites , we the people own the government , we tell it what it’s going to do and when ! And for far to long we have been silent , not anymore !

  80. Holy crap I can’t believe we give this woman that much credit!! So she reads the news and knows how to get kudos, she isn’t stupid. But really, do you think she’s all for the main st. people in this country, let alone the disaffected? NO! What makes you think she really gives a hoot about one individual out there in the East? All I see in Sarah is a MALE AGENDA WITH LIPSTICK! She’s power hungry herself, and her ulterior motive is to help all the fat boys keep their Swiss Accounts, and snow mobiles. That’s all we need is to have this country run from Sarahs laptop ON FACEBOOK! Somebody take these peoples opiate dirivatives away!

  81. And get bogged down in ANOTHER muselmaniac country?

Sorry Sarah, that’s a miss. Again she shows that she, just like most other people in the west, don’t understand islam at all.

It’s not about freedom down there. It’s about one dictator getting removed and replaced with another one, this time in the name of allah. As long as islam has its claws on these countries, the people won’t be free.

  82. Jason has a point. While I generally agree with Jim on policy, I find that he not infrequently overreaches in the implications he draws, or exaggerates in the terms he uses to make his point. That opens him up to ridicule or accusations of lying, which he could easily avoid by being more careful with his language, and still make a good point.

For example, was it literally true that leftists were “torturing” that camel (which I didn’t see in the video supplied)? Or had they just stupidly put it in a situation that it could not handle?

Was it literally true that the leftist union guy “beat” a “girl”? A beating involves repeated forceful blows. Why not stick with a more defensible statement, such as that the union guy “hit a woman”? Or her camera?

It’s easier to defend your side when you stick with statements that cannot easily be called false.

  83. obama comdemn gaddafi. no can do gaddafi is a political ally.

  86. “Sarah Palin Calls on NATO to Save Libyan People – NATO Responds”. Thats hilarious! Even more if you’re serious?! You REALLY BELIEVE, the NATO observes Palins Facebook Page and responds to it? SERIOUSLY? I rather think you’re rejecting reality (known for its liberal bias) and substitute your own.

  87. Palin a true leader. .

Obama – Incompetent, Ineffective, Inexperienced, Inept. . O-buma

I agree, one things for sure Sarah, military action should be an act of last resort and takes more thought than that! Some things are better for countries to work out on thier own. They’re not children acting their aggressions out on their leader, there are some highly educated players. It could work out on it’s own and NATO would be wise to not worry about the WAR MONGERING FACTION OF OUR NATION, and do what it deems the most humanitarian step neccessary. But I say butting out as much as possible is paramount. Obama is doing fine playing cool with it all, but keeping a sharp eye, thank you!

  90. A friend told me about this story and l bet him some money that it was in no way true.

I said it was impossible that there would be an amount of Americans so blinded by a combined hatred of the current president, so dogmatic in ideology and so desperate to prop up someone so unpopular outside of her narrow base of supporters that they would even attempt to push a fake story like this!!!!!

If you seriously believe that NATO are responding to the ghost written facebook musings of the word salad spouting former half-term governor of a state with less peolpe than some of your major cities, yet alone actively stating that she has anywhere near the kudos to make a major worldwide statesperson then l have another bridge here in London to sell you.

We are still recovering from 8 years of the last right wing stupid.

  91. You people are crazy. There is no way the President should say anything to NATO right now re Libya. The situation is already unstable in the middle east without the US jumping in and “telling” them what to do. That would be a disaster. They already hate us. Wait until allies closer to Libya jump in. Once again, Sarah is running her mouth before she should.

  92. Maybe you are right Lisa, if we just keep quiet, tiptoe, and whisper, maybe they’ll stop their last resort of military actions against their people. Then after a few more weeks when the poopulation of Lybia (ha) is too afraid to even come out of their homes for fear of being murdered, we can just keep quiet some more as these murderers start killing people in another country. But hey, at least we won’t be evil Bush warmongers. Hey, we can stand down when they come after us because we’ve, no, I mean HE’s shown how weak we are. Showing toughness is a bad, bad thing right? Daily Kos wants you back.

It’s not hatred of our current president! I know you just don’t want to see how he is doing things over and over to hurt the American people, and lying about it. you just see what you want to see, ignorance is bliss.
I wish I could see Obama through the rose colored glasses that you wear, but mine see reality and it’s not pretty.

What on earth are you talking about? If I recall, it was George Bush who was in office then. It’s really quite laughable to call him right wing.

  95. Liberals .. all lies or filth – these morons implode at the mention of Palin’s name.
    Run Sarah Run!

  96. SARAH you are my MAN!

  97. Airon, you are an Obama troll, a Muslim apologist and full of air and shiite.
    I hope you po(o)p!

  98. Re #101, toongoon — Let’s use #95 – Chisum’s link – to help the liberals take off their “rose colored glasses”:

…Imagine, for the fun of it, Sarah Palin is elected president.[...]Imagine that Sarah Palin appoints scores of czars who are not confirmed by the Senate. These czars run the government out of the White House; they bypass the cabinet structure. Imagine that President Palin appoints as attorney general a politically partisan conservative. Imagine that attorney general takes orders from Palin on active cases, and she orders that attorney general to stop defending lawsuits against aspects of Roe vs. Wade, to stop defending lawsuits against Obamacare, to stop defending lawsuits against the EPA’s greenhouse gas regulations.

Imagine if President Palin directs her attorney general to sue California to enforce border security and to stop granting taxpayer benefits to illegal aliens, in violation of the supremacy clause. Imagine if President Palin did all this. Imagine President Palin ordering the Republican National Committee to work with businesses, managers and executives that contributed tens of millions of dollars to her campaign to defeat her political opponents (especially Big Labor) in places like New York, New Jersey, Michigan, California; intervening in the affairs of states. Obama’s doing this. Imagine if President Palin did it. She gets hold of the guy that runs the RNC, says, “I want you to have meetings with businesspeople that contribute a lot of money to my campaign.”

Imagine President Palin decides that she will not comply with federal court rulings that she disagrees with, as in Florida and Louisiana. Imagine, if you will, President Palin meeting weekly with CEOs of the oil industry, of the insurance industry, and of the health care industry in order to help them profit and prosper. Imagine if President Palin meets with these groups to try to repair the damage done by the previous president, Barack Obama. Imagine a State of the Union in a House of Representatives chamber: President Palin attacking the sitting justices of the US Supreme Court, humiliating them for a ruling in a case in a manner that she disagrees with.

Imagine President Palin hiring a fashion person and putting her on the public payroll and telling everybody what to eat while she and Todd eat whatever they want on trips to places like Vail, while her husband is eating hamburgers and fries and ice cream. Imagine President Palin sending her kids to the most expensive private school in Washington, while at the same time killing a school choice program for poor minorities in the inner city of Washington —
    ====================

Hey, Libs — Are you apoplectic yet?

  99. Amateur hour at the WH continues. America thought they were getting FDR in ’08- joke’s on America! We got Neville Chamberlain. With Obama’s so-called ‘Foreign Policy’, everything has to be studied, everyone else has to be consulted, and God Forbid we should offend anyone. It’s like America’s house is burning down, and he wants to get three estimates for repairs before calling 911! Meanwhile, on domestic issues, he just charges ahead like a bull in a china shop, running roughshod over his ‘enemies’ (his word!), dismissing his critics, ignoring the American People and the Constitution- all the while rewarding his political cronies with favors, backroom deals and exemptions from policies that are enforced with a heavy hand on everyone else.

Lobbyists and ideologues run this White House, and the foreign policy appears to be run by the Keystone Kops on hallucinogens. Who need Ahmedinijad to bring on armageddon, when Obama’s incompetence is greasing the skids to send the world to he!! in a handbasket!

  100. Should she run for president? She already IS the de facto president.

  101. Gov. Sarah Palin walks tall, stands proudly for freedom and human rights. Obama is feeble & flaccid. Sarah is straight & strong.

  102. Wow, there is like NO basis in reality to ANY of this…..WOW……………you old folk are WAY delusional.

    $arah PAYlin/Tonya Harding 2012, ok……………….

  103. What f…ing ever with the rhetorical political jibberish. Bottom line is guys, Republicans bankrupt the country with their foundless penis wagging in Iraq for the last decade, and now we’re going to ultimately give the tag to the poorest and sickest of this pig azz country. You plutocratic, isolationist, facsist, nationalist, war-mongering dumb-a..es are part of the Problem in this World, not the answer! The World is getting too small to put up with your pushy small-mindedness and selfish-rightous-piety. So why don’t you all keep your heads up your rears and keep quiet! The rest of the world is growing too poor and too IMPATIENT to put up with your hypocracy!

  104. Let’s get this into a global perspective. Sorry to say this but most folks outside the US – including, no doubt, the NATO leadership – regard Palin as an empty-headed dimwit. The hero-worship is quite frankly inexplicable to most normal people.

  105. The woman’s a complete and utter fool. She shouldn’t be allowed out without a minder.
