Stunner. Barack Obama’s Organizing for America website helped organize the “day of rage” protests in Wisconsin.

What a complete shock.

They’re going to organize rallies in Ohio and Indiana too.
The Huffington Post reported:

Building on the momentum in Wisconsin, where tens of thousands of protesters have turned out to oppose Republican Gov. Scott Walker’s effort to strip collective-bargaining rights from the state’s public-employee unions, President Barack Obama’s campaign organization is mobilizing its followers in Ohio and Indiana, where similar measures are being considered.

Thousands descended upon the Ohio statehouse Thursday to protest a bill that would eliminate collective-bargaining rights for state employees and curtail the rights of local-level government employees. The debate is similar to that in Wisconsin: Supporters say it’s necessary to deal with budget problems, while opponents say it’s nothing but a vicious assault on unions.

Now folded into the Democratic National Committee, Obama’s campaign group Organizing For America is already actively engaged in Wisconsin and is beginning to ramp up organizing efforts in Ohio, though observers say the latter process is about a week behind that in Wisconsin. The group is also beginning to dig into Indiana, whose legislature is considering a bill to limit collective bargaining by teachers.

A DNC staffer told The Huffington Post that the group upped its efforts in Wisconsin after Chairman Tim Kaine spoke with local legislators last week. OFA then began organizing turnout for Thursday’s statehouse rally and running phone banks in Ohio targeting state senators, which are slated to continue next week. This weekend, organizers have set up door-to-door canvassing in key districts that they hope will likewise put pressure on swing lawmakers.

Be careful. The thugs are out in force this weekend.

  1. Glenn Beck was right again. Say what you will about him, but he was talking about this almost 2 years ago. It’s chilling.

  2. Beck’s been warning that this was going to happen. It might be our Reichstag moment. Now how do we react to it? I say no violence-that’s what they want.
I say we hold fast and let them have their temper tantrum, everyone in the country is seeing this, let them hang themselves.

  3. Whats the difference between a democrat lawmaker & a union representative ?

    NOTHING…!!!

A democrat lawmaker is a union representative

  4. The governor in Wisconsin says he’ll simply call out the national guard to man vital government positions if he must. The unions really are playing with fire. They are NOT going to get to both keep the high pay & fully paid benefits AND get to keep all the jobs too.

  5. Call John Boehner’s office NOW. Demand an investigation into OFA NOW!

    (202) 225-6205

It’s only your state and your nation at stake.

Let the rest of us know when you call Boehner’s office. Get the name of the person you talked to. If the union thugs and the Chicago Thug In Chief want an uprising, let’s give it to them, peacefully.

I have already called Boehner’s office this morning. Now, it’s your turn.

  6. Federal government interfering directly with state affairs. Anyone for an impeachment possibly followed by succession ??

  7. It is offensive and perhaps even immoral that these people who call themselves “Democrats” try to stop the democratic process from working when it doesn’t go their way. What is really getting the left worked up is the fear that they will lose the money they raise from people in unions, which includes coercing money from a lot of people who don’t agree with Democrat policies.

  8. You have cameras. Use them.

  9. I went down to Columbus yesterday with a bus load of patriots who supported Ohio SB 5. It was shocking the number of weird looking people who were in the crowd wearing red VOTE NO on 5 t-shirts that must have all been made in size 3xxx. They were practically dresses! So far, the police and fire departments were very reserved and quite, but the teachers were obnoxious freaks. We allow these people near our kids?????

It wasn’t the end in Nov. 2010. It was the end of the beginning. Now we must support those that are standing up and doing the real job of bringing sanity to our budgets.

Call or write to SUPPORT. It is as important, maybe more so, than protests voices.

  10. As far as I am concerned, the more rallies and in your face demonstrations these people engage in the better. It will not end well for them, the public anger and sentiment on this matter is too strong. It will only grow.

  11. I am seeing if I can scramble enough money to go down to Madison this weekend. I hope one of the progressives try something stupid. Wisconsin is an open carry state and I will have my vid cam with if I can make it.
I am glad the DNC (Democratic National Communists) have so utterly proved the conservative’s point, that they are not subject to the same economy as the rest of us. How many people’s eyes are going to open when they see through the AstroTurf this obviously is?
So far I have seen three different groups having approximately 1400 people signed up to go down. Of course we private sector folks do not get paid to protest. These government sycophants are really beginning to erk me. They have actually been calling for higher taxes on us to pay for their union percs.
Posted facts on several of my relative’ facebook pages, they are Dims, then unfriended them. Yeah, the next family get together should be highly entertaining now that I and others in my family have become politically active. Those of us in the private sector were never really political until about 2 years ago when the Dems went full fledged socialist. Of course those in my family that were politically active of course were all involved in government jobs. Wisconsin being one of the highest taxed states has driven business away. Now that there is not enough business and employment to keep the government workers in the lap of luxury, they want to raise the taxes even higher on the rest of us.
They are now mad that we the taxpayers have had enough of their thievery and complicity in creating this debacle.
    ENOUGH!

  12. “Republican Party” does correctly describe the platform of the GOP. “Democratic Party” does not. The ruse starts at the name and goes from there.

  13. I am outraged. I don’t know how you can no be. I don’t understand how what Obama is doing is not illegal.

  14. How quickly the national news has turned from the protests in Egypt to the protests in Wisconsin. Just recently Liberal and Anarchist thinkers were pondering, even hoping for such protests and or riots (depending on one’s definition) in America. It does not really matter what we call them: Liberal, Progressive or Marxist, they are all in favor of the same things. Now we seem to have them with loyal Democrats leading the charge with union shock troops leading the way, even with the support of President Obama. To what end does the Left hope to achieve by this? The answer should be clear: power, total and absolute power over every aspect of our lives.

    http://www.bluecollarphilosophy.com/2011/02/are-the-democrats-turning-wisconsin-into-egypt-in-hopes-to-spread-the-chaos-2.html

Liberalism is a Totalitarian world view whether you think of it as a political or religious belief system, the end goal is the same. There will be an attempt to enforce their dogma on society, on the universities, on the political process, and even on our churches. If it takes mass protests in the streets to achieve this, then it will be done regardless of it requiring violent or non-violent means. The Democrats love for bureaucracy to enforce their ever encroaching regulations ought to tip us off as to their true desire and lust. A free and open society is not compatible with this Party’s aspiration to dictate what are and are not acceptable expressions of religion and thought. When they appeal to justice in order to gain support for their cause, remember such speak is a cover for their desire get power. To get power over your wealth in order to redistribute it, to get power over health care in order to redistribute it, to get power over your carbon footprint in order to dictate how you live. I suspect that what is happening in Wisconsin will soon spread to other states and if it does we may finally see what the Democratic Party is all about: power and control.

  15. What else would you expect when you elect a “community organizer” for POTUS?

Does anyone remember the air traffic controlers that Reagan fired?

Sounds like they need some company!!

  16. Wow, my comment went to the ether.

Long story short-I will try to make it tomorrow to the counter protests. There are several of the Tea Parties planning a response. Expect that not to be covered by the MSM.

Wisconsin one of the highest taxed states, what is the Dems plan? Higher taxes on the private sector. If they could they would raise taxes only on private workers.

  17. All this “thuggery” nonsense from the modern American Right reveals a plurality of things. Chief of which is that they not only have complete and unchecked hatred for the average worker in America, but that they believe that minimalistic cuts and the punishment of the average worker will miraculously fix state budgets. Again, as I’ve stated before and no one here seems to be willing to at least try to understand, it’s a matter of faulty perspective and distorted perception.

  18. This is a very clear repudiation of the democratic process by Obama. The public officials that were elected by the state residents three months ago by a fair election process were mandated to correct the economic problems. For him to endorse civil disobedience, to protect his contributors is totally wrong. He ought to be telling the runaway representative to go back and work within the democratic process.
For him to be involved in sending in OFA goons to a state activity makes him no better than the central communist party in Russia

  19. Stand firm WI and get your state budget in order.

  20. Obama’s just a garden-variety fascist. He’s a totalitarian. It’s in his blood.

  21. We need a conservative president by executive order to abolish public employee unions. These unions work against the taxpayer. Eventually the house of cards that they have created will
come crumbling down- the next place they will look to prop up their pensions to hold up this pension house of cards from will be our private IRA’s and 401k’s(nationalization ponzi scheme). My husband has worked hard and saved carefully his entire career-never a lavish vacation ect.
    Their actions will be criminal.

  22. Michelle Malkin is reporting that the union thug, Richard Trumka of the AFL-CIO, is planning on protesting in Wisconsin tomorrow.

Camera up, everyone. Take pictures and video. Let the world know what these thugs are all about.

  23. These thugs don’t dare set foot in AL. Cowards.

  24. This is going to get nasty very quickly. States rights is being shoved aside and Americans are not going to put up with this. Quickly becoming a powder keg.

  25. Yep. Hats off to Glenn Beck, he’s drama king but he’s right on.

This is sedition in my mind. Obama sues Arizona, now he uses his influence to attack and divide America. Good luck. He’s going to need it. 2012 doesn’t come fast enough, but we’ll be ready!

  26. Have you checked out the signs these malcontents are carrying? Only a few short weeks from the Civility campaign. Funny, Barry doesn’t seem to asking these folks to remain calm and respectful. Will Democrat legislators flee their state in OH and IN ?

I think they should make good on their threat and FLEE THE COUNTRY.

  27. Airon, please, either attempt to deal with people as an honest, thinking adults, or go somewhere else. If you wish to beat up on the conservative strawmen that your bigotry has assembled, they’ll welcome you with open arms at DU and Daily Kos.

  28. Are they bringing any of their Islamofascist buddies with them?

  29. Why is Obama’s campaign organization operating 2 years after he got elected? Adn why is it meddling in Wisconsin’s affairs?

I guess they know this is it. If Wisconsin wisely outlaws collusion amongst public employees, it’ll go down in state after state, and it should. Government employees should not be colluding.

  30. Not just Iwon WTF’s campaign organization either. The DNC is also directly involved -

    http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0211/DNC_playing_role_in_Wisconsin_protests.html?showall

  31. Glenn Beck was right. This is the Piven strategy for all the world to see. Surprise, Obama falls in jack booted lock step with the unions. This is not going to end well.

  32. #29 Rob Crawford

“Honest”? “Thinking”? Neither of these words describe any member of the modern American Right, as you – and those that think and act as you most assuredly do – have your thinking done for you by people like Hoft, Malkin, Breitbart, and their media handlers at Fox”News”.

Simply taking a look at the Right Wing narrative in relation to State and Federal budgets shows that they have little desire to take the real steps needed.

  33. The GOP needs to openly – and loudly – call out OfA, union thuggery, and Barack Hussein himself for political agitation and abetting violence and probable insurrection.

There needs to be a movement to impeach and remove Barack Hussein from office. This is a matter of great urgency.

  34. Stanley Kurtz, at National Review Online, makes a good argument that what we are seeing in Wisconsin etc is exactly what Obama wants nationwide; the development of a polarizing leftist movement to support pushing the country into a permanent welfare state run by a “progressive” elite. It’s Cloward-Piven time!

BTW, everybody should read Kurtz’ book “Radical-in-Chief.” It’s a very good bit of research into Obama’s socialist beliefs, agenda, and MO. (Yes, Kurtz reluctantly concludes Obama is a socialist, and provides the evidence to support that conclusion).

  35. Demonstrations are just the beginning. The thugs are already targeting lawmaker families and homes–which is why the Democrats left the state. If they can stay out for a week or so it will provide enough time to turn enough lawmakers against this bill. That is what the “debate” is all about.

OTOH, Calvin Coolidge was elected president on the basis of his response to a public worker strike in Boston.

  36. Airon@34: Keep collecting those OFA checks while you ask mommy for your cereal. Unfortunately they are not getting their moneys worth with you.

  37. i think its time to make liberalism illegal and unconstitutional.

  38. There is a bill to lift the law blocking th use of student test scores to evaluate teachers competence IN WISCONSIN. It is coming up for a vote in the Wisconsin State Legislature. The Wisconsin School Boards areagainst the reapeal of the ban.Of course thgeyare against anything forthekids.
Now here is something that the public can do right now to write and email the State legislators to repeal the ban. Probably too busy for phone calls right now.
Particularly when most teachers have ditched their jobs, NOW is the time to begin to get rid of these dumb-clucks and militaristic lefites.
Even out of Wisconsin, the citizens of USA are watching this reichstag moment. the union is so damn dumb to do this. so letstake them up on the OTHER issue, the test scores being used to
    score the teachers.
( Remember that Wisconsin has a balanced Budget amendment. and it is either the teachers pay a paltry 12 % towrds a Cadillac health plan or there mass lay-offs of teachers.)

  39. Airon, the real steps as you call them are being taken…by working at the state level since those at the national level decided that the best way to deal with any problem was to either ignore it or lock the doors and let the other party wait outside.

If you claim to thnk for yourself, then please show me how the states can continue to offer the compensation packages they do to state workers and remain solvent? Of course, other than taxing the rich to solve the problem which is the standard reply from those on the left. And please, if you want to have a civil discussion then start by answering the question so a dialogue can start. Then you can revert to name calling and besmerching the character of those on this site.

  40. Well, well, well, it seems out little liberal troll, Airon Later, has a website that requires someone to be an adult (17+) to enter.

Guess that gig doesn’t pay well so he can continue to sit in his jammies, collect a check from OFA and at least buy his dope.

  41. Airon, you fool, the average worker is the one that is against this union thuggery. Either wake up or get honest. The left’s biggest lie is and downfall will be that the every day worker that is the typical union protester.
The everyday worker is the person that the union/Dem/Obama is trying to tax to death to pay for their unreasonable power.

  42. community organizer doing his part for the little people, damn the consequences:

we are out here to support our brothers and sisters to ensure that what we have fought so long and hard for, these many years, is not taken away by a bunch of greedy republicans. this is an attack on the middle class. this is an attack on working people making 20,000 a year.fascism is taking away labor’s right to negotiate.during the Bush recession was much worse. we were under by 6 billion and by negotiations we were able to solve that.

somebody said something pithy about what happens when you run out of other people’s money. but that was said way in the past, and like the constitution, is too old and stuff. elections have consequences, it’s time to pay up.

  43. Sorry for the typos, there is no school today and am distracted by kids.

  47. President 44 supports people who walked away from their jobs at the expense of the people who pay their salary and benefits-viagra for Wisconsin teachers-is insanity.

  48. Airon#34 said;
“Simply taking a look at the Right Wing narrative in relation to State and Federal budgets shows that they have little desire to take the real steps needed.”

You are wrong again, we in the teaparty and other American citizens have followed the rules of law from the beginning. First, we called our representatives and wrote letters, but were ignored, we went to town hall meetings and made our voices heard and we were still ignored. So we voted the liberals out of office, now our voices will be heard, loud and clear.

  49. the average worker can’t afford to hire a bunch of sign carriers to walk around for them to demand better wages and benefits.

Libs: this is what trickle down poverty looks like. get used to it, it’s the new norm. funny seeing all those California students protesting tuition increases. too bad they couldn’t see how similar it is to a property tax increase or a tax increase in general. i wonder if the teachers at the capitol are teaching their students about the similarities.

  50. As WI goes, so goes the nation. This is really not all that surprising actually. I don’t watch Glenn Beck regularly so I cannot attest to his prophecy.

I would think that the vast majority of Americans not affiliated with unions would not be on the union side of these issues. I would hope not. But then again I never thought that BHO had a snowball’s chance of squatting in the WH either. I was wrong.

BHO is actively campaigning for another 4 years in the WH. I doubt our country would survive IF he is re-elected. More importantly, I have my doubts about the next 2 years and the ability of this once great Nation’s survival.

The 2012 prophecy of the world coming to an end might be BHO pushing the nuclear button if his butt is tossed out of office in November 2012.

Pay back to all those evil Republicans and capitalists.

  51. Typical liberal “logic”, if there is such a thing. They want tax cuts and balanced budgets as long as it doenst personally affect THEM. When it does, you have what is playing out in Wisconsin.

  52. “The Wisconsin State Assembly, meanwhile, was poised to vote Friday morning on the bill that would force public workers to pay half the costs of their pensions and at least 12.6 percent of their health care coverage.”

    Read more: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/02/18/republicans-challenging-unions-state-capitols/#ixzz1EKpjGUE6

holy crap, are you kidding me, they are crying about contributing 12.6%. these people need to go on Obamacare and see how they feel about it.

those with Obamacare and those without Obamacare, there can’t be both.

  53. Remember now, all of these protests are for the children.

  54. #42 retire05

No, my blog does not require age verification to comment on or even view.

But as to the challenges leveled at me, let’s examine this from a true honest perspective.

The purpose of unionization is to ensure that the average worker is compensated for their work. Naturally, the modern American Right see this as an “entitlement” position that no one deserves except their ideological kindred. If you want to tackle real waste, why not require all politicians to have a salary freeze and pay for their own health care. That alone is a good start that no one within the alleged “Tea Party” cabal is talking about – unless it’s in reference to someone in a union.

Secondly, to #51 Mark1957 , how have you “followed the rule of law” when members of the alleged “Tea Parties” are wanting to rearrange existing law and precedent in order to validate their ideological standpoints? Sure, you may have sent some emails, and made loud noises at townhalls, but what was your real message? Was it for progress for our country as a whole or pure regressive posturing designed to do distract as you have no plan other than to place unqualified candidates into an office to further the same noise. A perfect example of this is the plans to do nothing but “investigate” the Obama administration, repeal the Affordable Care Act and not offer any form of replacement, and redefine rape. How does this help American?

And to #43 olm, do you really believe that the average worker in American is “taxed to death”? I feel it would be a safe guess to assume that you favor either no taxes or the faulty premise of the alleged “fair tax” all too often promoted by the Right. Regardless of what you have been coached to believe, taxation has it’s purpose, though usage of said tax dollars can be utilized in a form not acceptable to everyone – something that should be addressed in a collective fashion rather than an isolationist one.

What specific taxes are you opposed to, if any? Where do you think the money comes from to improve your community? It doesn’t come from cutting a teacher’s health benefits or an auto workers pension they have worked 40 years to earn.

  55. Send in the teargas and the water cannons.

  56. Public sector unions are the perfect example of the kind of havoc wrecked by democrat administrations. Their creation was nothing more than social engineering.

And once a bit of social engineering has been instituted, it becomes sacrosanct and can never be undone. Kind of like…land once conquered by islam may never revert back to it’s original status.

Public sector union thugs work for ME, and as such are protesting against ME. They will gladly bankrupt ME in order to hold on to their power.

Private sector unions are corrupt enough. But sure as shootin’, public sector unions are an evil construct.

  57. “day of rage”…isn’t that like “crosshairs” and therefore now considered politically incorrect. Oh wait… it was a liberal that said it therefore the rules don’t apply. Hypocrits!!!!!

  58. airhead is harmless, and woefully ill informed. Shared sacrifice means everyone must share in cutbacks, including government employees—period. It’s caricature of conservatives is amusing, so don’t take anything it has to say seriously.

  59. “What specific taxes are you opposed to, if any? Where do you think the money comes from to improve your community? It doesn’t come from cutting a teacher’s health benefits or an auto workers pension they have worked 40 years to earn.”

This is the classic dodge that the left has–cutting teacher’s health benefits will not lower the cost of doing business. First, I don’t think that anyone in WI is saying that. All the state is saying is that–like almost everyone else in the country–they pay a portion of their own healthcare. I do. Most everyone else on this blog does as well I would suspect. So why shouldn’t they especially when it comes out of our pockets.

And I don’t think the auto worker who worked 40 years is losing a thing. He or she is not even part of this discussion so why bring that up. That too is another ploy the left tries.

As for having people in office who aren’t qualified, I think our current president fits that bill nicely. Isn’;t it funny how if I go for a job in the goverenment and I claim to have a doctorate, I have to prove it. Yet the guy who would be my ultimate boss in the governement never had to show a single piece of paper to prove any of the claims he made. That is what I would call “rearranging things to suit an ideological perspective.”

By the way, unionization among private industry is down to almost nothing. Yet the only place unionization is growing is in the public sector. Why is that? Could it be that in the public sector there are no boards to approve union deals? And know that the governor of WI wants to put in that same time of check and balance the unions balk. What would unions say if private businesses decided to eliminate the union arbitator on the shop floor. They would probably scream bloody murder and shut the place down saying that it’s not fair. I think the people of WI are saying the same thing: They want an aribrator too, it just happens to be the voters of the state who pay the bills.

  60. Airon: “Where do you think the money comes from to improve your community?”

It comes from private businesses/farms creating wealth through the production of useful goods and services. The government produces zero wealth and in some cases actually destroys wealth. The government does have some legitimate functions which are funded by taking money from private interests (taxes), but it definitely does not produce the wealth, as represented by money, that improves our communities.

Go buy a good economics book or something (try Milton Friedman). And if you want to know where babies come from, go upstairs and ask your mother. I’m not going to help you with this remedial stuff anymore.

  61. Befuddle #44. what you are not addressing that there are many middle class non-union people who have already taken cuts in benefit coverage and in salary. So if you want to distribute the wealth, just add all of us to your “Cadillac” insurance plan, you can adopt us, and then the wealth will be partially distributed. Heck, the Obamacare plan even takes away the insurance we non-union middle class people have now and we won’t get what we have back thru obamacare.
And watch that video that someone downloaded in the comments above. If’ that is the type of people you want representing you, then you are one sorry group of people. But from the rhetoric that has been spewing thru you tubes and such from libs, there are quite a few people just like that man in the above video. Very unintellligent.

  62. Airon- Too many questions to answer them all, so let’s discuss the one in the news today:
“Where do you think the money comes from to improve your community? It doesn’t come from cutting a teacher’s health benefits or an auto workers pension they have worked 40 years to earn.”
Tea Partiers do not suggest NO taxes, but cutting the waste, of which there is plenty, becoming more self reliant and creating a fair, across the board tax system.
In this economy, which has been made much worse by inept government intervention, everyone has to give up some things. Of course, no one is happy to give up any benefits, but when will we face reality? The money is not there and you can’t make it magically appear…well, I guess the Fed can, but most of us can’t. The teachers are being used as pawns in a massive chess game.

  63. Blah blah blah Airhead. Your union/Democrat/Obama buddies are starting a revolution but it will not end the way you think.
This is what I find amazing, the middle class has been taxed to death. Our local school districts, if not cut to the bone already, have to cut even further to make up millions of shortfall………..why? Because the state required contribution to the pension funds went up over 10%. Guess what there is nothing left to tax. Nothing extra in my budget to give. The improvements in my community come from Businesses and individuals. Other improvements come from special assessments and bond measures. Take your liberal BS and cram it. It is only about the powerful staying powerful.

  64. Barack Hussein ibn Soros’s mask is now completely off. His evil intentions are fully exposed. He openly supports the insurrection – aiding and abetting the actions of the union thugs and anti-US organizations like his OfA, defiance of federal rulings and the Constitution, meddling in the sovereignty of foreign nations. There must be a call to impeach NOW.

  65. Arion Later#57 reminds me of Feszini the Sicilian from The Princess Bride.
In the words of The Dread Pirate Roberts, “truly your logic is stunning.”

If you have seen the movie you get my point.

  66. Awesome movie, Stuart!

    =D>

    How about:

The Grandson: Has it got any sports in it?
Grandpa: Are you kidding? Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles…
The Grandson: Doesn’t sound too bad. I’ll try to stay awake.
Grandpa: Oh, well, thank you very much, very nice of you. Your vote of confidence is overwhelming.

  67. The “Randian” responses to my “community improvement” comment show that you all can’t follow clearly worded statements. But, in the spirit of understanding, I’ll restate myself: Taxes pay for community improvements the same way investment by “wealth producers” does. The Galt Cultist mentality of all of you can’t seem to grasp that the kid working at the local supermarket pays taxes just like the couple that built the lavish estate across town with the sweat and sacrifice of those they employ.

Do I begrudge the wealthy? Not at all. But they didn’t get to that station in life purely on their own. Does a person just wake up one day and say “I’m going to have 10 million dollars by 2012″? Not at all, as they have to have a plan. Wealth is gathered by careful planning and sacrifice over a lifetime – save the trust fund babies and people that get rich because they make the loudest noises ( see: Beck and Limbaugh ). People that are the true “producers” in America aren’t the ones that sit at the desks and “do lunch” with their office-mates, it’s the ones on the assembly lines and in the fields. One can argue that without those “office personnel” there wouldn’t be a job for the “worker”, but the reverse is the same. But this is something that the modern American Right can’t grasp.

  68. The founding fathers tries to bypass the problem of non-allegiant usurpers by carefully requiring the president to be a “natural born citizen” both parents citizens at birth. Had they merely required a citizen as president they would have simply written “citizen”
All one needs to do is read article ii.

  69. Jackson: Capitol protest “a real Martin Luther King moment”
has this guy been on the wrong side of everything. he was running around a few months ago touting the merits of obama’s “green jobs” agenda.

reminds me, i saw a posting questioning the need for a black history month. in the article was embedded a picture of a black girl who believed MLK freed the slaves. all i can think about was, damn it teachers, get back into your classrooms and do your job!

  70. ARE THEY USING FEDERAL FUNDS FOR THIS? THIS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED, AS WELL AS THE DEPARTMENT OF NO EDUCATION. MAYBE A SPECIAL PROSECUTOR NEEDS TO FINALLY BE APPOINTED. WHERE’S HIS BIRTH CERTIFICATE BY THE WAY? MAYBE KARL ROVE KNOWS.

  71. I loved Rush today. Since they are comparing themselves to Egypt, he was referring to these loser teachers as the Muslim Brotherhood. Actually I believe Obama is working for the Muslim Brotherhood that’s why all of his papers are sealed, right Barry Soetoro?

  72. Obama is going to need to be arrested by our military. It will require force that no one can overcome to remove him.

  73. Despite all the out-of-state union members being bussed in from surrounding states, what is the one word that will NOT appear in news reports?

    You guessed it……ASTROTURF !!

Stand strong Gov. Walker and Wisconsin taxpayers – we are praying for you!

  74. Is OFA a tax exempt organization? This must violate some sort of law barring politics with tax-exempt organizations. . . if not there should be.

Obama will be known as the GREAT DIVIDER . . . and imagine just how much worse this can be should we find out he was not even eligible to be President under our Constitution because his birth certificate never existed in the US. . .

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. . .

  75. [Upping the ante in the budget faceoff, the Obama administration warned Friday that workers who distribute Social Security benefits might be furloughed if congressional Republicans force cuts in federal spending.] more expendibles for the obama wood and dupe chipper

  78. Why on Earth would average people desire to use their hard earned money to provide for their children and themselves before public employees??? (sarc off). These morons are playing with fire and are too damn dumb to realize it. Fire all the greedy pigs feeding at the public trough. There are thousands of good teachers that can fill the positions at reduced but fair market value. When public employees making 3 times the average compensation of private employees demand more and more and more, it’s time to get rid of the greedy bastards.

  79. Seriously. Since Obama and his OFA is behind the “unrest” in Wisconsin, causing schools to be shut down and business to be affected, isn’t this an impeachable offense?

  80. Well Airon “honest” and “thinking” certainly don’t describe any member of the left, in the entire world or at any point in history.

“The purpose of unionization is to ensure that the average worker is compensated for their work.”

That “compensation” is called salary and doesn’t come from the union.

“A perfect example of this is the plans to do nothing but “investigate” the Obama administration, repeal the Affordable Care Act and not offer any form of replacement, and redefine rape.”

Actually, how is copying Europe going to help the American worker? Please tell me how building up a system like the NHS going to help? The system is not working, why copy it?

Essentially you have no actual arguments. Just the usual peseudo-intellectual talking points only left wing morons care about.

Fact is, unions happily take your money, but once you really need them, they’ll piss on you. Been there, done that. Since then I’m not joining unions anymore. They are useless.

And well, where does the money come from that “improves the communities”? From the printing machine. Because if governments would actually have to make do with the money they make, they wouldn’t be able to spend as much. And spare me the dribble on taxes for community improvement. Come to Europe. Taxes are HIGH across the board, yet the communities, especially the infrastructure in some countries we’d call “rich”, are going down the sewer, despite high taxes and even higher spending. Take Germany as the perfect example. Germany is what we’d call “rich”. But the infrastructure is crawling towards collapse. The highway system is horribly outdated. As for “improving the communities”. Really? Where? Communities are going down the crapper in Germany, despite the high taxes and high spending. And it’s like that across the entire EU.

So your theoretical example is utterly annihilated by reality. Oh and, before you even consider screaming more nonsense, the EU governments are all very far left leaning. Even the so called “conservatives”. Because everything is “entitlement” these days, even cheating in university exams is a “right” these days, so students claim.
