The New York Times posted an aerial shot of the MASSIVE rally in Wisconsin yesterday.

NY Times: In a capital city overrun for much of the past week by union supporters, state employees and students — all objecting to Gov. Scott Walker’s plan to cut collective bargaining rights and benefits for public workers — a new element was introduced on Saturday in Madison, Wis.: opposition to the opposition.

This was a shot of the tea party as it was breaking up in Madison yesterday.

The only NY Times outdoor aerial shot of the protests yesterday in Wisconsin was a shot of the tea party.
It figures.

  1. Thanks for all your reporting, Jim!

Linked with an epic blog roundup: ‘Wisconsin Protests: ‘A Massive Onslaught Against Democracy’.

  2. The New York Times committing an act of propaganda and misleading their readers?

    It can’t be. (sarcasm)

  3. The evil that was the tool Duranty still lives at the NY Slimes though the millions murdered during the Mordor, Stalin, and the Soviet Union are all turned to dust.
I hope & pray that Carlos Slim, a decent man who finally brought accessible telephone service to Mexico a century late and became a 40 billion dollar man recovers his loan from the amoral treasonous sinister cabal that is the NY Slimes.

  4. Vote for people that don’t go to work…. Vote Democrat

    roflmao

  5. Scott Walker knows who was outside. Screw the MSM.

  6. In the field of yellow journalism the Times finally manages to out Hurst Mr. William Randolf.

  7. So much for all those comments yesterday that a mere 100 Tea Party counter-protestors showed up. I’m interested to see how many lefties dare to post comments today, particularly PP.

  8. It’s like they are stupid or something. hmmm

    Occam’s Razor.

  9. Some editor’s head is going to roll for letting that pic through the censors.

  10. I don’t want to rain on your parade, Jim but, from the caption you cite for the photo it appears the NYT was intentionally photographing the Tea Partiers and was giving credit where it was due. Though I am loathe to agree with the Times, let’s not fall into their habit of twisting things to make it sound other than what it is.

  11. Can you back up your assertion with ANY evidence? Any at all?

  12. Crawl back under the rock Brian.

The TPM is HUGE and getting bigger. The days of the bussed in rent-a-mob and gettting away with astoturfed bogus protesters is over. This is just the M.O. of the left.

You really need to step back and know that there is so much propaganda from the MSM it’s scary. The “democracy” protests in the middle east will actually end up being totalitarian regimes. This is what the radical leftists want here in America. Thus the TPM.

    powder is dry.

  13. #11

You’ll never believe the truth even if it’s spelled out plainly for you,so who cares about your doubts?
Your only purpose being here is to be argumentative.

    Don’t like the information here?
Don’t click on the link, just that simple.

  14. No. 11 Brian, if your comment was directed at me, the caption for the photo reads, “a new element was introduced on Saturday in Madison, Wis.: opposition to the opposition.”
The opposition to the opposition is the Tea Party hence the photo of the Tea Party.
I think that’s pretty clear. It’s not right to make fun of the NYT thinking they ran the wrong photo when they describe exactly what the photo depicts. I think Jim just jumped to a conclusion. Again, we need to think about what we say ’cause it just gives them ammunition.

  15. With fed tax time upon us are there any plans for nation wide taxed enough already rallies.
I sure would like to attend in south Texas. Willing to travel 300 miles to large gathering

  16. Jim, thanks for your service in keeping the public informed.

Michelle Malkin has photos of some R-rated vulgar anti-Tea Party signage used by the unions yesterday, including liberal use (no pun intended) of the F word and one even threatening gang rape.

Just wait until this bill is signed into law. What will these psychopaths do? Cloward and Piven Step 2, I suppose.

  17. The numbers don’t matter one bit. The principles of the Tea Party are what matter most. Ten years ago, not one non-union member would dare stand in opposition to organized goons.

Walker is doing what Schwarzenegger should have done when he got in office.

  18. Walker is doing what Schwarzenegger should have done when he got in office.”

Good point. Arnold The RINO was all talk, Walker is all action.

Make no mistake about it folks, Walker is now the Alinsky Media’s new Sarah Palin. They’ll stop at nothing to destroy this man.

  19. It dosen’t matter if no Tea Partiers showed. They showed in November. That’s all that counts.

  20. The liberals “can’t handle the truth!” But like usual the NY Times also added their spin, they only took overhead pictures as the rally was “breaking up”. How many people, that had already left, got missed? From what I heard there were more than “a couple of dozen” police in attendance to keep the two groups from getting physical. Since when are that many police needed to protect a “couple of dozen” protesters. The liberals are just peeved that they don’t have the whole spotlight. Time to give up your pacifiers and use the big potty!

  21. Re: Schwarzenegger, we also need to blame all the voters who turned down the practical propositions he put on the ballot early on, after massive propaganda by the greedy public unions and assorted idiot leftists. But he should have kept trying to do the right thing instead of trying to get along with the dysfunctional Democrat establishment.

  22. Showing the Tea Party crowd? That’s a good thing! Thanks go out to all Tea Partiers who braved the weather!
    Love, from Arizona!

  23. That many people in 24 hours? Damn.

  24. How do we know these are Teabaggers?

  25. not a single one of those are tea party. what lies.

  26. #25: “How do we know . . . ?”? Well, it is the Times Bubby. You saying the Times are wrong? Unbelievable!
Wonder if Soros has yet to spit his coffee while reading this this morning? Nice visual.
Has anyone heard whether or not the entire Times staff is suffering a “collective” professional breakdown? Good to see they’re practicing ‘good collective behavior’ if so ;o)
Probably the only shot they had of a peaceful, courteous, tidy crowd.
Just wondering out loud here in the middle of a blizzard ;o)
Hey, just figured it out: Soros is Metalbeak from Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole”. That’s what he looks like.

  27. The Paper of Record.

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Add journalistic incompetence to journalistic dishonesty at the most overrated newspaper in America. At least it still has the glossy Sunday magazine for the limousine liberals who are interested in Gucci handbags and Rolex watches.

  28. I was there all day on Saturday. Your photo is misleading at the very least. The tea party “crowd” was on the drive leading to the doors enclosed by the grassy areas. There was a small overflow crowd of about 100 people to the right and a couple dozen people holding signs on sidewalk near the corner. The wide sidewalks and streets were ALL protesters. This is one tiny shot of the Capitol Square. You can repeat this shot many times over for the true picture minus the tea party which were meeting only in this one spot. Currently, the official count is 128,000 protesters and 2,000 supporters of Gov. Walker. I cannot believe the lies of Fox News and other media.
