A pro-public union SEIU rally turned ugly today outside the Colorado Capitol in Denver.
The Colorado union supporters started out the day chanting, “Tax the rich!”
But later the unhinged SEIU thugs accosted a gay black tea partyer.
This verbal assault lasted for several minutes.
In this segment the pro-union leftists asks this black tea partyer,
“I just want to know how you can vote against your own best interest.”
Unbelievable.
Via Red White Blue News:
Red White Blue News has more video and photos.
SEIU activist refers to the gay black tea partyer as “son.”
Still more…
Unhinged SEIU supporter follows gay black tea partyer and gets escorted away by police. Of course, he flips off the tea party crowd before he leaves.
Nice.
And, of course these leftists ended their rally screaming “Bring it on, Teabaggers!”
What a lovely bunch.
Democratic U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter attended the rally. He did not attempt to stop the local leftists from attacking the brave tea partyer.

Vote against his own best interests? Choosing fiscal responsibility is in everyone’s best interest. The union’s are the one’s that choose to pretend that is not fact.

LIberals make no sense. Just talking bobble heads.
I was on those capital steps for my first tea party rally two years ago. I was surrounded by hispanics, blacks, whites, men and women, husbands and wives.
At no point in those two hours did I encounter any stupidity. It was like I left the earth…

Idiot leftists think by organizing and demanding more and more money and benefits from their employers and the government, that it won’t cause economic ruin in the long term. I love how leftists constantly accuse the Right of being greedy when their entire attitude is “me me me” and “gimme gimme”.

That was pretty mild.

i can’t watch anymore of union thugs beating up black people, so i am not going to watch the video.
remember obama was touting the meirts of the unions and other leftists organizations, such as acorn(wonder who gave them all that money). if not for the unions and acorn knocking on doors for him in chicago, 2004, he wouldn’t have been elected to his position now.
they are doing the same with Herman Cain and Allen West and i respect them more that they have the courage to not be that unquestionable 95% that blindly voted for obama. if you’re not an old rich white male, you better sit down, shut up, and vote democrat or else.
it now takes a braver man to stand up and vote for the content of character than color of skin.

The problem is that CO is one of the largest federal centers outside of DC and too many people there have been isolated from economic reality by jobs in either government or health care.
Once they start working in those fields, they have absolutely no concept of what its like to have to sing for their supper. Since nothing they do has any connection to the money it costs they lose all touch with economic reality – as we can see from the deficits and debt we have accumulated all over the nation.
When I see the liberals in WI and CO demonstrating with such zeal for the perpetuation of fiscal insanity, it makes me worry greatly for our nation. They are so overcome by their ignorance that they have become irrational. Just wait and see how they start turning the corner as their budgets and programs and jobs start disappearing along with everyone else’s as the funds to finance their nutty programs and union greed begin to dry up.

Jim, dammit, your posts almost never deliver what the headline promises. There is so much potential in this blog but it’s just spoiled by this shrill exaggeration day after day. A lot of what you post is actually blogworthy as content in itself but the way you write it up, well if I didn’t know better I would think you were a liberal writing a mock conservative blog in order to ridicule the right. It’s always “brave tea partier” this and “awful racist leftist” that. Fine, if that’s what the video shows. But all I saw here was a pretty mild and relatively civilized interaction between two opposing sides of the kind that goes on every day in protests and rallies across the US. You’ve seized upon the fact that the guy is black and gay in order to jump on the popular narrative that leftists are angered by minorities who “stray off the plantation.” Well, that is true – but that’s not what the video shows here. The way the line “I just want to know how you can vote against your own best interest” is repeated over and over…as if this is proof that the old lady is racist….is pathetic!
Jim you have had some excellent scoops on this blog and have written some amazing posts over the years. But of late it’s just become more and more dramatic for effect and less and less honest. I really wish we could have the old Gateway Pundit back. I know your die hard fans will enjoy flaming away, but I don’t care. Either stop with the wild exaggeration and drama or this blog is going down the pan.

Tonight I heard that liberal Alan Combs complain that Michelle Malkin call the union protesters in Wisconsin “Thugs”. Can you imagine that! Rabid animals would be a better description I think.
Rock commented:
The last video at the end was a little humorous, what with the four thugs aligned across the steps trying to look big and threatening. But then that is typical union habit, muscle before brain. More commonly known as thugs for hire, IQ not a required. Other than that, pretty tame stuff.

How could anyone vote against their interests by putting Zero in the WH? Hopefully it won’t be too long before he is dragged out kicking and screaming, if the SCOTUS so rules..
‘In a stunning move, the U.S. Supreme Court has scheduled another “conference” on a legal challenge to Barack Obama’s eligibility to occupy the Oval Office, but officials there are not answering questions about whether two justices given their jobs by Obama will participate.
The court has confirmed that it has distributed a petition for rehearing in the case brought by attorney John Hemenway on behalf of retired Col. Gregory Hollister and it will be the subject of a conference on March 4.’
Stunner! Supremes to give eligibility case another look
I know we all would breathe easier if Zero were deposed and his regime came to a screeching halt.

I really think Glenn Reynolds needs to quit linking to this blog until you learn to temper things a bit. As some of the above commenters point out, the headline and descriptions in this post are wildly exaggerated.
There is so much REAL stuff for conservatives and libertarians to be outraged by right now. We’re at a dramatic, fiery moment in our nation’s history. Why you’d want to around crying wolf about other stuff, damaging your own credibility and impeding the dissemination of crucial messages, is absolutely bewildering to me. It’s frustrating, to be honest.

Unfortunately, Denver is not the high-rolling metropolis it wants to appear to be. People here are, a lot of the time, really behind the trends to a embarrassing extent. Many of our urban hipsters are white-collar refugees from the East and West Coast–people who sought to escape gang warfare, drugs, and corruption, and just ended up staving off the inevitable for a few years.

Someone tell me why public employees should have collective bargaining?
Why should a nurse, who works 50 weeks of the year, nights, weekends and holidays, without a pension plan and a cadillac health care plan work until he/she is 65 so that public employees can retire at 55 and receive a pension they paid nothing into and a health care that is second to none?

Why? Probably because the nurse didn’t have a union to help him or her get better working conditions & a pension.

Isn’t it homophobic to call a black gay teapartier, a ‘teabagger’? I mean if conservatives had called the attendees at a gay rights rally in Washington, DC ‘teabaggers’ wouldn’t the media have a feeding frenzy of the same quality (sic) as the ‘macaca’ incident?
But don’t expect this to get any coverage cause black gay conservatives don’t exist and certainly not at tea party events. Also, the liberal meme goes on that anyone who doesn’t stay on the plantation of democrap politics is too stupid and self deceived to know it. He/she is unenlightened, self destructive and/or self loathing.

Printing more money is Obama’s answer to the economic problem he himself extended from a cyclical recession to the 2nd Depression. Just give everyone $100 bills, then $1000 bills, hey, think how rich we’d all be with Trillion dollar bills. Why, I could pay off the national debt with my welfare check. Yeah Barak, that’s the answer. Of course, Obama is doing exactly what his Communist daddy and Mau Mau communist grandpa failed to do, DESTROY THE RACIST, SEXIST, HOMOPHOBIC, ISLAMOPHOBIC, ANTI-UNION, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! Never make the mistake of thinking for an instant this is due to ignorance or stupidity. Obama hates us and is going to take us down, and is. Shinobi commented:
Reading the comments here is like entering bizzarro world. How can you advocate against the collective bargaining rights of Unions? Without unions and their ability to unite a workforce and bargain for all workers workers are essentially at the mercy of their employer. Who do you think we have to thank for the 40 hour work week? for Paid Vacation? Safety standards?
I’m not saying that unions as they are are perfect, but without them workers have no protection from the greed of corporations. And trust me, we need that protection. Companies will do whatever they can to make money, that is their job, their purpose. They don’t care about their employees, their quality of life, their ability to retire, they would work us to death if it would make an extra $.50 a day for their shareholders.
If you like life without unions so much, put your money where your mouth is and move to China and to work in one of their factories. Just be sure to pick one with a relatively low suicide rate!

A gay black man has EVERY reason to join the tea party! The democrats have been enslaving blacks for decades, and the Democratic liberal progressive agenda sides with Islam which intends to institute sharia law which is against gays … this man knows his enemies well.
ALL Americans need to take a second look at the tea party …it does NOT stand with the country club republicans ..it stand with TAXPAYing HARDWORKING American citizens who enjoy their freedoms … of ALL stripes!!! Unions are now a thing of the past … it’s time people get over that and allow the free market to do its job and allow prosperity and freedom for all.
richard40 commented:
Leftists think that all blacks and all gays are the permanent property of the dem party. They can’t concieve of either a black or a gay joining the Tea Party because they beleive in fiscal conservatism. The Tea Party ruins their narative because the Tea Party is neutral on social issues, and is therefore not anti gay. You will notice that there were no significant Tea Party protests against the gays in the military decision. Also, as Julie said, the Tea Party is for the common man, and not the country club repub types, and thus will heartily welcome and encourage fiscally conservative blacks. In fact, the black guy that heads the Pizza company, and the other black guy thats a new Tea Party congressman from florida, regularly draw huge cheers from Tea Party crowds, and any black member that shows up will get a friendly welcome.
Because leftist dems view both blacks and gays as their property, rather than thinking human beings, a gay black Tea partier would incense them on both fronts.
Tbone commented:
