For shame…
Walker completely pwned President Obama today in his press release.
JSOnline reported:
Gov. Scott Walker on Monday afternoon responded to comments President Barack Obama made earlier in the day about the protests in Madison:
I’m sure the President knows that most federal employees do not have collective bargaining for wages and benefits while our plan allows it for base pay. And I’m sure the President knows that the average federal worker pays twice as much for health insurance as what we are asking for in Wisconsin. At least I would hope he knows these facts.
Furthermore, I’m sure the President knows that we have repeatedly praised the more than 300,000 government workers who come to work every day in Wisconsin.
I’m sure that President Obama simply misunderstands the issues in Wisconsin, and isn’t acting like the union bosses in saying one thing and doing another.

It’s interesting a Moody’s Analytics study is being quoted to suggest the U.S. House Republican plan to cut $61 billion in borrowing and spending this year would destroy 700,000 jobs over two years.
And yet the same Moody’s study, authored by Mark Zandi, one of the architects of President Obama’s 2009 “stimulus,” says the Democrats will have to cut $400 billion a year if the economy is ever to stabilize.
So, it seems, the Republicans aren’t doing nearly enough. They should be cutting $400 billion in spending and let the private sector reorganize in a reality-based economy.

Obama: Flexibility OK, but health care law remains
“WASHINGTON – Anxious to ease deepening political tensions with the states, President Barack Obama on Monday told governors he wants to speed up their ability to enforce his signature health care law on their own terms. But his concession goes only so far: He warned he won’t allow states to weaken the law.
…
Hosting governors of both parties on his own turf, Obama offered them what they often request: more flexibility as they cope with painful budget dilemmas. Declaring that he would “go to bat for whatever works,” Obama supported letting states propose their own health care plans by 2014 — three years faster than the current law allows.”
So let it be written. So let it be done.

For a state with approximately 5.7 million residents, that means there is 1 government employee for every 19 citizens. What the hell could all those state employees be doing??

___________
You ever hear the old joke that goes “How many (state)(town) employees does it take to fill a pothole?” The correct answer is 5: 1 to hold the shovel, 1 to drive the truck, 1 to watch, 1 to supervise and 1 to pat down the dirt. If you live in pot hole country, you will know that while this is supposed to be a “joke” it is VERY close to the truth.

I love that! Walker used Barky’s own words against him. That Americans didn’t understand it is what Barky said about our dislike for and refusal to accept his health scare bill, as one example of many times that Barky’s accused those who oppose his Progressive ideas of not understanding.

Katie Smith commented:
Federal employees have less collective bargaining rights than private employees, and less bargaining rights than state/county/municipal employees have in Wisconsin right now. They don’t bargain over wages, but there are protections and standards in place, but legislative act can delay increases or put caps on them, which is what Obama has done to try to trim the budget. But, they also don’t let individual agencies or bosses set the wages of their employees unilaterally, they look up their city, their job and their grade, and they get that rate. Basically, they established a government bureaucracy to establish the wages.
Fed employees do have some limited bargaining rights over work rules and such, however, and Walker is trying to remove that here.

Boy, you people are filled with hate! I’m so glad I don’t stand with you or have your slanted vision; what a sad way to live life. I’ll keep you in my prayers, because I practice the actual teachings of Jesus Christ. Go ahead, rip this post apart. But, really, does it feed your soul?
Read a book, watch a movie, look at any epic tale, heck, check out any spiritual text. Is it the large group of people motivated by unity that wins or is it the egotistical ruler (already caught in his own lies last week) who uses fear and force to get his way that wins? It’s the people. In the end, there’s no beating down the heart of the people. I know you all know that in your hearts if you see this as anything other than some petty game.
mcc commented:
Re #80 — “I’ll keep you in my prayers, because I practice the actual teachings of Jesus Christ” — one wonders if she believes the Holy Spirit led her to make this claim.
Sarah goes on to speak as one who shares Obama’s “collective salvation.”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5IK4L9I6V4
This is a lie. Man finds his way back to our Father in a solitary pursuit of all that is holy and good. It’s a path we travel — separate from the world but with Him by our side — as we exercise our faith, our hope and our love for Him.
Sarah from Wisconsin commented:
Okay #81, but how about all those passages about the poor in the bible. Oh, and then there’s that one that’s always hard when you’re only thinking about yourself: “That which you did to the least of me, you’ve done to me.” I believe the only spiritual message is one that realizes that we are all connected, everything we do impacts someone else and vice versa. Likewise, what you put out into the world, is what you shall expect in return, because it’s all you’re tuned into.
john bayley commented:
Celebrate the end of Scott Walker’s political career!!
mcc commented:
Sarah, Christians disagree regularly about scripture. I’ve always taken a less literal interpretation. It would seem God’s most profound province is our spiritual lives, so I tend to read His Word with that in mind.
Who are the “poor,” the “sick,” the “imprisoned” — I see them as those without Him in their lives. Spiritually poor. Spiritually sick and imprisoned. (That’s not to give license to ignore the very real physical needs of others. Rather, the Holy Spirit works in the hearts of men that they might give more generously in that regard as well.)
And then who might be the “least” among us? Those who are least lovable. Those who hurt and destroy others in countless ways. Those the natural man hates.
That’s where the Cross comes in. And a good deal of faith. Pray the seeds were planted in fertile soil.
J. Emmett commented:
Ok. I know this is a republican site, and I know this will be sneared at, but being a Wisconsin resident, and knowing ton’s of state employees, I can tell you that we have taken almost 20% cuts in the past 4 years already.
Also this bill that Scotty boy wants, discriminates against others besides just state employees, takes away medical care from thousands of families, and allows him and him alone to sell off Wisconsins power plants to whom ever he wishes (probably the Koch brothers, who he is personally invested and own, the Alaska pipeline, and Brawny paper towels) without taking any kind of bids so that our utilities will double, and most likely yours will too.
The rich 1% of our country will get richer, and the rest of us will be scrambling for leftover crumbs. If any person on the planet with half a brain thinks that this won’t hit them, because they are not a Wisconsin state employee, they are living in a fog. The state polls taken today state that even the Wisconsin Republicans can’t stand him. So you are backing an idiot, who you want to take over the nation. Can you say “dictatorship”. Good, I thought you could.
