Pelosi told America they needed to pass Obamacare so that we could find out what was in it.
Now we know… And it stinks.
Today Governor Mitch Daniels (R-IN) wrote about all the false claims made by democrats before they rammed through Obamacare.
The Wall Street Journal reported:
Unless you’re in favor of a fully nationalized health-care system, the president’s health-care reform law is a massive mistake. It will amplify all the big drivers of overconsumption and excessive pricing: “Why not, it’s free?” reimbursement; “The more I do, the more I get” provider payment; and all the defensive medicine the trial bar’s ingenuity can generate.
All claims made for it were false. It will add trillions to the federal deficit. It will lead to a de facto government takeover of health care faster than most people realize, and as millions of Americans are added to the Medicaid rolls and millions more employees (including, watch for this, workers of bankrupt state governments) are dumped into the new exchanges.
Governor Daniels also mentioned that he wrote Kathleen Sebelius, secretary of Health and Services (HHS), and included a list of demands that he will need fulfilled by 2013 if the federal government expects the State of Indiana to run their program for them.
Good for Governor Daniels!

Since my insurance premium suddenly jumped up to cover “free” services — mandated by the government — that I don’t want or need, I now may attempt to make the higher price worthwhile by using the system more than I otherwise would.
Chippy commented:
As the Health Care bill states, “the Secretary of Health and Human Services shall have the right too………. the Secretary of Health and Human Services shall have the right too deem….so on and so on.” 16,000 new IRS agents and NO new doctors.

Zippy is giving a speech to the Chamber of Commerce. He’s repeating the same old lies about health care. As if these business owners don’t have his number.
Now he’s harping on their patriotism. Telling them that they have an obligation to invest in America.
Rock commented:
Oh you mean WTF lied, well gee I guess my health insurance premiums jumping 34 dollars this past month wasn’t a mistake after all. Pelosi I hope you and your whole state fall in the Pacific you conniving witch. Actual, switching the broom out for a tail would be more appropriate.
Granny commented:
It didn’t take too many functioning brain cells to understand that every word of propaganda out of “president” IWon WTF and the Dems about this Health INSURANCE Bill was a pack of lies.

Wow, stating the obvious is sure to give the intellectual policy wonkers at National Review’s Cult of Buckley a mighty fine head rush.
Hedgehog commented:
Daniels is making a mistake even communicating demands to Sibelius. He should take the position that the “law” is an abomination that must be repealed. No amount of tinkering will fix that “law”, since the intent of the “law” is to gain control over people’s lives and nothing more. No good can come of it. It is the cornerstone of every totalitarian regime in history.

A fereal judge has already ruled the disaster unconstitutional. Period. Why are states worried about implementing it?

I’m guessing that the sophisticated Ruling Class policy wonkers do not think the federal judge’s ruling was complicated enough for them to understand.

If Indiana had any sense they would tell the Feds to take a flying leap into hell and take the Kenyan with them. I really hate that fruitbat eared bastage….
Mad Hatter commented:
We don’t need Mitch Daniels to tell us this, we knew this while the Obamacare debate was going on, and Mitch Daniels was silent.
Welcome about Mitch, you’re about a year late.

**Welcome aboard Mitch** not welcome about… typo

Is this a grand scheme of all failed states like NYC and California to siphoned revenues from other states? Too big to fail on steroids.
gastorgrab commented:
ObamaCare is an illegal attempt to change the form of government in the United States.
W. Joy commented:
California already has a $25 billion deficit and yet the State politicians strongly support Obamacare — seemingly with no awareness of the huge costs associated with the large number of people that it will have to add to Medicaid as a result of Obamacare. Practically all of our representatives in the House of Representatives are Democrat Socialists and many belong to the Congressional Progressive Caucus. Of course, practically all were reelected last November! We are moving to Texas as soon as we can sell our house. California is going to implode and I don’t want to be here when the bills come due!

Time to revisit the concept of state nullification. Under that concept, the several states shall determine the constitutionality of Federal actions and if they are deemed to be unconstitutional, those laws/actions will be ignored/nullified within the boundaries of those states.
Some will say that nullification was rendered obsolute by the War Between the States. They would be wrong. Rebellion was defeated by the damnyankee victory. The question of nullification has never been, to my knowledge, settled.
Time for the states to reinstitute Federalism.

Sorry, Mitch. Not buying whatever it is you are selling. You just said the other day that we need to low key or tone down discussion of social issues…… Like abortion? Like homosexual marriage? You have already sold us down the river for your dream of media adulation and the Republican nomination, RINO. Dream on, tool.

It’s working just the way it was planned. Single payer is on the horizon. Notice how disinterested the Chimp’s administration is in a Supreme Court case?
