The Daily Mail reported:
Late U.S. senator Ted Kennedy has been accused of renting an entire Chilean brothel and seeking meetings with communists who had left-wing views.
The information came to light after a Freedom of Information request by Judicial Watch - the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption – who put pressure on the FBI to release the material.
Their file on the late senator, who died from brain cancer in August 2009, was released but contained a large amount of blacked out information – until now.
The statements previously withheld include accusations that during a tour of several Latin American countries he ‘made arrangements to “rent” a brothel for an entire night, allegedly inviting one of the Embassy’s chauffeurs to participate in the night’s activities’.
In each country he visited he was also said to have ‘insisted on interviewing “the angry young men” of the country as well as Communists who had extreme left-wing views’.
When he was in Mexico, it is said that his request to have certain left-wingers – one of whom was later linked with a Soviet spy ring – was refused as he was warned not to associate himself with such people.
This wasn’t an isolated incident… Later in life Senator Ted Kennedy secretly offered the Soviet KGB assistance in bringing down Ronald Reagan in the upcoming US election.

This is no great surprise. Teddy Kennedy never was much of a big-thinker and he always had a fascination with the Left. As long ago as the mid-70′s he was said to be working hand in glove with the KGB. And we all know about the the Kennedy Boys and their love for loose women.
The Kennedy family is not and never has been the American aristocrats the media continues to protray them as. Old Joe was a rum runner during prohibition not much different than Al Capone. That is where the Kennedy millions came from – breaking the law. The biggest difference is that Al went to jail and Old Joe got sent to London as the Ambassador.
Old Joe was a womanizer to the nth degree, one who ruled his family with an iron hand, going so far as to have a full frontal lobotomy on the daughter he considered not quite “up to standard” – over Rose’s objections. bg, JFK really was not one whit better than Teddy. Perhaps a tiny bit more polished, married to a long suffering woman of the old school who grinned and bore it just as his mother had, a bit better educated than Ted (daddy didn’t have to buy JFK’s college diploma) but he was a rake and a womanizer that landed our nation in more than a little hot water. We remember him now as the man who stood up to the Soviet Union over the Cuban Missile Crisis, but truth be told he had more than a little to do with the Cuban fiasco.
There is a reason that IWonWTF & Michelle Antoinette channel JFK and Jackie you know. Their entire public lives have literally been modeled on some idealized version of Camelot.

I’m not so sure that he wasn’t screwing “me the people” – different times. People still believed that presidents were entitled to some privacy and peccadilloes and the secrecy of certain things within the confines of the federal government was still sacrosanct.

They were Irish though and a good chunk of “The Mob” in Massachusetts has always been Irish. There is a reason that Teddy held on to that Senate seat for 47 years – and remember it was JFK’s seat before it was Teddy’s. That reason had nothing to do with Teddy’s suitability for Congress, nor did it have much to do with the will of the people of Massachusetts. More on the lines of “how fast can you say ‘bought and paid for’” . . . . . .

I have a friend in Cape Cod. His mother worked for the ER at night in the seventies. One night a woman was brought in after being hit “head on” by another vehicle that was in the wrong lane. The bootlegger story is, I think, a populist myth. During prohibition when he was already wealthy, Joe Kennedy bought up worthless Scotch and Canadian whiskey US distributorships. While there may have been some small scale smuggling from Canada, most of Joe Kennedy Sr wealth came from fraudulent investment practices called “stock pooling.” Joe and his broker friends would buy up shares in some penny stock, talk it up to his investors.
