British PM Cameron Warns Europeans: “State Multiculturalism Has Failed’ (Video)

British Prime Minister David Cameron warned Europeans to wake up to Islamic extremism.
He told the annual Munich Security Conference – “Multiculturalism has failed.”

Europe must stamp out intolerance of Western values within its own Muslim communities and far-right groups if it is to defeat the roots of terrorism, British Prime Minister David Cameron said Saturday.
Cameron told the annual Munich Security Conference that European governments have been too tolerant of some sectors of society that publicly oppose democracy or reject equal rights for all.
He said Britain had found that many convicted terrorists had initially been influenced by so-called “nonviolent extremists” – people who aren’t involved in encouraging plots, but denounce Western politics and culture – before going on to carry out violence.
“We won’t defeat terrorism simply by the actions we take outside our borders. Europe needs to wake up to what is happening in our own countries,” Cameron told the conference.
Both Britain and Germany have had noisy domestic debates about the impact of immigration, and the difficulties of integrating some religious communities, or those who struggle with the language of their new home.
In an attack on Britain’s previous government, Cameron said authorities there had been too hesitant to intervene when some sectors of society espoused abhorrent views.
“We have even tolerated these segregated communities behaving in ways that run counter to our values,” Cameron said. “We have encouraged different cultures to live separate lives, apart from each other and the mainstream.”
Cameron said a culture of tolerance had allowed both Islamic extremists, and far-right extremists, to build support for their causes. “We’ve been too cautious, frankly even fearful, to stand up to them,” he said.
Some European allies have criticized Britain for harboring hardline Islamic clerics and failing to clamp down on mosques that promote a perverted view of Islam.
Several terrorists involved in attacks or attempted plots in the U.S., Sweden, Denmark and Norway over the last two years have had links to Britain, or British-based clerics.
“If we are to defeat this threat, I believe it’s time to turn the page on the failed policies of the past,” Cameron said. “Instead of ignoring this extremist ideology, we – as governments and societies – have got to confront it, in all its forms.”
Great Britain could start this new policy by deporting or jailing miserable SOB Anjem Choudary.

France banned the burka-Anela Merkel of Germany said this and now David Cameron of the UK saying this also.
What these countries, (and us here too) need to do is cut off the money supply to these people who are on the dole and gaming the system. That would be a big incentive to get them to either leave or become productive. The money has to be cut off

This may be a little to late for Europe! But by G-D not for us if we wake up. Before you can fight an enemy, you first have to name it. The Islamist are all over this country trying to install Sharia with the help of really ignorant JUDGES. Multiculturalism and diversity do have value — but difference itself is not by default good. Oppression of women, jihad, beheadings, suicide bombings, etc, do not contribute to the improvement of the general welfare or to the advancement of society. We welcome difference that makes us stronger and better, but would be fools to weaken ourselves by opening the door to any difference so long as it is different.

UK bans people like Michael Savage and Koran burner Jones for their views on radical Islam , but grants tolerance to Anjem Choudray who burns the US constitution on the street while preaching sedition. Cameron owes an apology to the “far right” who have been proven to speak the truth about Islamic extremism. Kicking Islamists like Choudry to the curb without pardoning the banned right is no justice. It is more of the same COAWRDICE to not fully face up to your wrong headded policies and remove the cruel stigmas placed on innocent people for speaking the truth.

Methinks the “far right” he refers to is mislabeled. If you look close enough at whatever he defines as the far right, you’ll find some form of socialism or islamic fundamentalism. These groups are far more likely to be far left and simply labeled as far right, than anything the right may produce. There are crazies out there on the right, but by and large, they’re not the real problem.
It’ll likely take Churchillian power of persuasion and a firm resolve to banish the poison of political correctness in the face of an almost impossible enemy to defeat, before the current world leadership finally begins to adequately address islam and her evils. Like WW2, we’ll likely have a far bleaker picture to have to address than what is already now a bad situation before the real battles begin. And good men will die because of the political cowardice we have in our current leaders of western civilization.

Unfortunately they are stuck with Anjem Choudary as he can be deported he was born in Britain. Where would they deport him to. But at least some of the leaders have seen the light before that light was the burning end of a Molotov cocktail toss at the steps of number 10 Downing street.
