Sarah Palin Nails Her Target – Blasts Obama at Reagan Ranch Center

There’s something about Sarah.

No wonder they hate her. Sarah Palin absolutely dismantled the president and his failing big government policies in her speech last night at the Reagan Ranch Center. It was a beautiful thing.
Reuters reported:

Republican Sarah Palin said on Friday an explosion of government spending and debt under President Barack Obama and his fellow Democrats had put the United States on “the road to ruin.”

In a tribute to former President Ronald Reagan, the potential 2012 White House contender said leaders in Washington had lost sight of the values that made Reagan a Republican icon and a hero to conservatives — a belief in limited government, low taxes and personal freedoms.

“This is not the road to national greatness, it is the road to ruin,” Palin said of the growth in government spending, budget deficits, joblessness and housing foreclosures under Obama. “The federal government is spending too much, borrowing too much, growing and controlling too much,” she said.

Palin said Obama had revived the era of big government, and she ridiculed the infrastructure spending and investment he outlined in his recent State of the Union speech.

“The only thing these investments will get us is a bullet train to bankruptcy,”

Sarah Palin was at her best last night.

Unlike many politicians who always speak out of both sides of their mouths trying to be all things to all people all of the time, Palin always makes it clear just exactly where it is that she stands on things.

No wonder the Establishment Republicans fear her as much as the Democrats do.

I wasn’t very impressed with Palin for a long time, thinking she had some developing to do and homework to learn regarding the world out there. But, every time I look for anyone else out there with the stature, the commanding presence, the clarity and ability to get attention and articulate policy, she is practically the only conservative out there meeting those standards. She certainly is developing a sophisticated array of conservative viewpoints, whatever the leftist naysayers may claim. We’ll need someone like her in the coming years, when the devastation of the Obama regime passes. And, if there is no one else than her to do it, so be it. She’ll be fine.

But the best will be in a face-to-face debate with the Incompetent One. . . BO (the community organizer and divider).

And when she asks the question that Reagan did: Are you better off today than you were four years ago? . . . the voters will know which way to vote.

That is why our #1 priority now should be to make sure that the 2012 elections are fair and free from voter irregularities! One voter per legitimate legal American voter!

And this INCLUDES ALL OUR MILITARY personnel. . . the brave men and women who defend and serve our country all over the world. . . THEIR VOTES MUST BE COUNTED!!! Hear that Chuck Schumer!!!

And should a recount occur, no more “missing bags” of votes showing up at the 11th hour like the thief in Minnesota . . . Al Franken!

how did i know our president would tout this bullet train to nowhere? Detroit (the failed city run by Democrats) is investing in light rail that will connect the inner city to the burbs, never mind that it’s cheaper to travel by bus and that even during rush hour the buses are mostly empty. so, in addition to the green job scam, wouldn’t you know it, obama wants another round of stimulus spending, er investing, on high speed rail. although it’s cheaper and faster by car and plane, he believes people will spend the extra money to ride a high speed train that can go as fast as 255 mi/hr, but will average 80 just like the costly train system we have presently.

either way, obama will have 1Billions dollars of campaign funds in 2012. how much of main street as opposed to wall street will make up this amount?

I agree with your conclusion: She’ll be fine. A President doesn’t have to have the highest IQ in the room and be an expert on everything. She just needs good values, good instincts, and good advisers.

(I don’t mean to imply that there’s anything wrong with Sarah’s IQ. Not in the least. She’s a whole lot smarter than her detractors realize.)

loves me some sarah.. and it was a great speech…BUT… was this really the right forum for barack-bashing ? it puts me uneasily in mind of when the dems turned the wellstone memorial into a bush-bashing rally. i would have preferred is she had stuck to praising reagan at this event and followed up with her assessment of the current administration in some other venue.

It WAS the right time for this speech. Reagan’s ranch is owned by a young republican
group who are conservatives (not rinos). Her message resonated with them.

Our country is being hijacked by socialist/marxist/communist thugs. Now is not the
time to be wishy, washy.

If you want to complain about appropriateness at a speech, how about taking
another look at Obama’s Pep Ralley (otherwise called the memorial service in Tucson)
where they sold t-shirts, food & beverages, and had a so called Indian toothsayer in place of legitimate clergy.
