St. Louis Holds Skating Benefit to Aid Tornado Victims

The St. Louis community held a benefit to aid the victims of the deadly tornadoes last month. The event was held at the Steinberg Skating Rink in Forest Park this Saturday. I was not feeling too well on Friday but felt much better on Saturday and went skating with my nephew Gary his wife Kim and two of their girls. Gary’s buddies in the Coast Guard Reserve met at the rink for the fundraiser.

It was a good night for skating. It wasn’t too cold. Kim, Lily and Anna pose for a shot.

Gary, a member of the Coast Guard Reserve, his wife Kim and their daughters Lily and Anna enjoy a cup of cocoa during a break.

Anna hugged the rail most of the night.

Here I am with Gary. You may notice the snow on my coat and pants. That’s from my wipe-out just a few minutes before this picture was snapped. (My shoulder is killing me today- Ouch!)

These members of the local Coast Guard unit on the Mississippi River turned out for the benefit.
It was a great time (except for the wipe-out).
