The Westboro cult announced that they will protest at Christina’s funeral.

The Left does some truly despicable things in this world, but this is a new low for Democrats.

Former three-time Democrat gubernatorial candidate Fred Phelps Jr. (commonly called just “Fred Phelps”) and his Westboro Hate Group have announced plans to disrupt the funeral of 9 year-old shooting victim Christina Greene.

Christina was murdered by Jared Lee Loughner yesterday in his assassination attempt on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. The little girl was born on September 11th, 2001, so her parents have been cursed with a horrific trifecta of high profile trauma: their daughter born on the worst day in our generations’ lives, their daughter murdered in an assassination attempt on a member of Congress, and Democrat Fred Phelps aiming his hate machine at their family during their daughter’s funeral.

Democrat Phelps (an enormous supporter of Al Gore’s, though the media conveniently leaves off that he’s a Democrat and instead likes to imply he’s a conservative, which he is not…he’s a Democrat, and ran repeatedly on the Democrat ticket unsuccessfully for several elected offices) disrupted the funeral of Elizabeth Edwards last month, because it is what he does.

Several weeks ago I read a story about a soldier’s funeral that the Westboro Cult planned to “protest” at. People came from all over the town, the state, even the country and took up every parking space within miles, then formed a human shield around the funeral. Area businesses that had to stay open refused to so much as sell them gas.

I pray that the people of Tucson & Arizona will behave similarly for Christina’s family. If I could be there myself, I would.

It would be nice if there could be a blanket universal restraining order backing these freaks up the max distance allowed – that anyone can quickly invoke. Since these freaks are repeatedly jumping on issues like this. Their right to protest should not infringe upon our right to privacy.

This cult just recently protested during a burial and found out afterwards that their tires were slashed and nobody in the town would lay a hand to help this pieces of garbage. They had to limp out of town to get it fixed. I wouldn’t be surprised that the next move is arson. Just saying and I am not advocating it……….

I believe they are possibly past their 15 minutes and looking for face time with this one. Elsewhere the Gathering of Eagles, the VFW and American Legion, and just good folks are blocking these butt biscuits off from their victims. The LSM has even started ignoring them as well. This seems more and more like a fund raiser/face time generator to me.

What a bunch of asshats. G*d has a way of making stuff come out right in the end. I wouldn’t want to be them when it happens.

This is one guy and his cult. It has NO association with the Democratic Party. Phelps did run as a Democrat and did support Al Gore but he was a FRINGE candidate. Fringe candidates have run for the GOP in plenty of elections including the most recent one. You’re taking a shot at our party for something completely out of our control.

What I’d like to know is why you haven’t reported on any possible link between this girl’s murderer and the fact that the Congresswoman he shot happened to be a list of Sarah Palin’s where she was “targeted” during the election with crosshairs over her district. An aide is now pathetically trying to deny that it was crosshairs, even though Palin herself said it was several months ago.

Now, do I believe that there is a link, probably not. But I can just as easily create one as you have falsely created a link between Phelps and the LEGITIMATE wing of the Democratic Party. This guy is lunatic, nothing more.

It is this corrupting gangland mentality born from a sick party system. When one poster (Whatever) calls the opposing group “demonrats,” he feeds into this warped sense of who the enemy is. When the “author” of this article starts blaming the Democrats and the Democrats start pointing fingers at Palin, we lose sight of the actual issue: a madman went on a rampage and some innocent people died. As opposed to recognizing the opposing party as being a group of Americans with different views on how to approach certain issues, they are demonized (quite literally by Mr. Whatever) to make them seem less than human and thus more worthy of contempt. Instead of discussion and cooperation, each side decides they must win some imaginary contest or struggle instead of the true contest to keep this country moving forward. This guy is NOT a Democrat. He supported Gore only because of Gore’s original anti-Gay stance. He’s protested various Democratic politicians because of their pro-human rights stance (including Gore). Phelps espouses absolutely zero Democratic policies which is why he has won exactly ZERO Democratic primaries.
