The dishonorable Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik went there. Today Dupnik blamed Rush Limbaugh for the shootings in Tucson.

Via Real Clear Politics: Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik once again blames conservative rhetoric as the reasons for the attempted assassination of Rep. Gabby Giffords (AZ).

“The kind of rhetoric that flows from people like Rush Limbaugh, in my judgment, he’s irresponsible; uses partial information, sometimes wrong information. Attacks people, angers them against government, angers them against elected officials and that kind of behavior, in my opinion, is without consequence and I think he’s irresponsible,” Sheriff Dupnik told ABC News.

    Well, I see that ABC has jumped into the act. This is good. This lout should be quoted from one end of the country to the other. Let him be exposed, for he has well and truly ripped his britches.

    In this country, even the damned fool who was tackeld with the gun is entitled to be presumed innocent until proven guilty, and he gets a trial. There’s longstanding precedent for this view. Lee Harvey Oswald, for example, would have been tried if he hadn’t been murdered.

    The presumption of innocence, along with the principle that no person is to be punished unless has been shown to have committed the crime. So, these jerks that choose to blame people who demonstrably had nothing to do with these murders for them on the basis that they belong to a party are acting in a manner that is UN-American.

    For this, we are free to question their patriotism.
