Do you suppose if Dana Perino, Karl Rove and Condi Rice organized radical mobs to shut down highways and disrupt liberal conferences it might make a few headlines?

Former top Obama White House offiicials helped organize protests that shut down a California highway and attempted to disrupt a conservative conference.

Top Obama campaign bundler Jodie Evans from Code Pink attended the protests this weekend. Evans, who raised nearly $100,000 for Obama, was also a top activist with the Gaza flotilla terror group that attacked the IDF in May 2010. Evans was arrested yesterday outside the conservative conference. (MSNBC)

25 radical leftists were arrested on Sunday for shutting down a major highway outside a conservative strategy session at the Rancho Las Palmas Resort in California.
Reuters reported:

About 1,000 chanting protesters rallied on Sunday outside a California resort where conservative lawmakers and business executives met for a political strategy session hosted by billionaires Charles and David Koch.

About two dozen police officers in riot gear lined up in front of the Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in the upscale desert town of Rancho Mirage to keep the protesters away from the gated entrance.

At one point, a group of demonstrators blocked the street in front of the resort for nearly an hour before Riverside County sheriff’s deputies moved in and handcuffed about 25 activists who were led away and cited for trespassing…

Another group, some dressed in hazardous material suits, tried to encircle the resort with yellow caution tape in a symbolic effort to “quarantine” the meeting, but they were dispersed by police.

What the state-run media did not report was the fact that former top Obama officials were behind the protests.

The protests were organized by former Obama adviser Peter Dreier. A panel discussion was held before the protest by organizers featuring, among others, UC Irvine Law Dean Erwin Chemerinsky, U.C. Berekely Professor and former Obama adviser Robert Reich, and former White House Green Czar Van Jones.

It’s odd, isn’t it, that the state-run media forgot to report the whole story, huh?

More… No, they weren’t tea partyers.

  1. I can remember when Al Sharpton came to St. Louis and conducted a protest in the middle of an interstate highway and NOTHING was done about it.

Maybe the organizers of this event should have chosen a place in the U.S. to hold their meeting.

  2. They should be glad I wasn’t driving, I would have drove straight through the crowd. If you’re in the middle of the interstate, I’m not going to slow down. Its a road not a sidewalk.

  3. “Koch kills Democracy”?!?

    Loony Liberals are projecting again.

  4. ADVERTISEMENT

  5. If the Tea Party did such a thing the radical leftest would call this the violent right wing.

  6. yet more proof the left hates free speech.

  7. Wow….isn’t it funny sad pathetic ironic that a group of Soros funded left wing activist stooges are trying to shut down a conference and then cry that someone else is killing Democracy….?
The laughable hypocrisy is off the charts.

I think what the sign should say is that the” Koch Bros. stole our idea” because what they are really protesting against is the fact that the right has finally learned how to fight fire with fire and network, organize and fund raise and they don’t like it.
Raising hundreds of millions of dollars in untraceable cash was their big advantage and they don’t like it when someone else does it.

When Obama raises a (B)illion dollars for his reelection these same people won’t say a damn word.

  8. Remember the good old days when Richard Mellon Scaife was the boogeyman?

  9. Nazis used to disrupt the meetings of opponents. The American left long ago crossed to fascism.

  10. Libs love carrying banners but hate serving their country. They love freedom as long as everyone agrees with them. I hope the next Republican candidate for President asks if we are better off than we were 4 years ago. NO HELL NO!

  11. Dittos to NeoKong:

When left-wing billionaires fund pressure groups and rioters and shadowing organizations to impose socialism on the American people, that’s “democracy.”

When rich conservatives help fund grassroots organizations that peacefully lobby to restore constitutional government, that’s anti-democratic.

    Get it?

  12. They didn’t look too civil to me, did they to you? Why isn’t Jodie Evans over in Egypt with the rest of her gang. I was hoping she would meet her end over there. Her and Ayers. Hasn’t the FBI tied Obama to what’s going on in Egypt yet. He’s working for these people, including the Weather Underground. Right, Soetoro??

  13. Two words:

    Commie agitators

  14. One additional note: Inside the same conference center as the conservatives was a conference of judges from the Ninth Circuit. The recent death of a federal judge in Arizona did not give the mob pause about the propriety of their actions.

  15. “It’s odd, isn’t it, that the state-run media forgot to report the whole story, huh?”

We need to do away with any believe by anyone that the state-run media will report the whole story. What you get from the state run media is simply whatever the leftist propaganda writer who handed them their script told them to say. The truth is not in them.

  16. It’s odd, isn’t it, that the state-run media forgot to report the whole story, huh?

    You mean Democrat-run media, right?

Because the media would be doing everything humanly possible to inflict maximum damage if it were a Republican in the White House.

  17. I live in the area. While I have no sympathy for the protestors and after hearing from then on the local news etc, they are the typical liberal, union bussed in twits, the road is called a state highway because it is owned by the state in that area, but is a local road. Not what most people call a highway, all local traffic.

Everybody got through and the local law enforcement keep the punks at bay. What was most amusing is they hired a blimp to fly around for 2 days with a banner. Out beautiful 75 deg clear skies were marred by their ridiculous protest. I just hope they spent their money here and helped the local economy.

    Jerks
