President Obama has already played nearly twice as much golf as Bush’s 32 rounds in 8 years.
And, he still has horrible form.

Just days after 9/11, President George W. Bush was filmed golfing. He spoke briefly with the press about Israeli security and ousting terrorists, then infamously said, “Now watch this drive.” Since then, progressive critics railed on President Bush for his golf habit until he gave up the game for the remainder of his presidency in 2003, saying:
“I don’t want to some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander-in-chief playing golf… And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal.”
With American forces still in Iraq and Afghanistan, a stalled economy, and a host of other issues, Barack Obama is playing even more golf than the last Commander in Chief.
On Thursday, President Obama played his 56th (or maybe 57th) round of golf since becoming President. In his two years of golf over two terms, President Bush played 32 times. That has not only drawn criticism from political reporters and enemies, but also from people in the golf world.

I know nothing of golf, but listened to a radio interview with a ”conservative’ (sounded very RINO to me) university professor from Duke who has twice played golf in foursomes with Obama. Asked to assess Obama’s golfing skills, he said he was bad at it all around – bad stance, poor placements, poor club selection, can’t putt, etc. He did say Obama doesn’t cheat, and added that he also played golf several times with Bill Clinton, who he said cheats at every opportunity (to no one’s surprise).
Even at golf, Obama does not seem to be improving despite so much on the job training.

Nonetheless, I do agree that this situation regarding Obama playing golf is childish. A POTUS playing a game this much with official U.S. unemployment at around 10% and just having ended the year with the most fatalities of U.S. and coalition forces in Afghanistan (exceeding the previous high, which occurred in his first year in office) is deplorable. Oh, that’s right, it’s only deplorable when a Republican POTUS plays golf. I keep forgetting the hypocritical “reasoning” of the Left. Most of us would not even be discussing Obama’s golf playing if the Left didn’t attack Bush mercilessly for it during his eight years despite him engaging in the behavior significantly less than Obama.

Regardless, that still doesn’t mean the case had anything to do with drugs, does it? Because it didn’t, and it’s inaccurate to term it a “drug murder case.” For example, how does Channon Christian technically abusing prescription medication have ANYTHING to do with her being raped repeatedly and tossed in a garbage can to suffocate?!? Anyone with a modicum of intellect would see that it doesn’t. You are the exact type of idiot that the defense attorneys were trying to appeal to with their ridiculous defense.

Let me try to explain it to you. Lacking any legitimate defense due to the preponderance of the evidence — including the admissions by various defendants — the defense team for some of the various defendants tried to falsely imply that somehow Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom were buying drugs from their client and a disagreement occurred resulting in their deaths, and thus the victims were somehow culpable for the defendants raping and murdering both of them. Even if the false “drug deal gone bad” scenario were true, how does that justify their rapes and murders? But, as the evidence clearly showed, it was a made-up story. That’s why all defendants were found guilty in the multiple trials that took place and are currently on Death Row or in prison for life. Anyone with a scintilla of intellect would see through the defense team’s ruse.
For someone who thinks they are so intellectually gifted, your inability to provide anything approaching sound reasoning is duly noted. Once again, you calling the Christian/Newsom murders “drug murder case” is ridiculously misleading and shows that you’re not a legitimate reporter. See, having a blog virtually nobody visits doesn’t make you a reporter. Did you interview anyone involved in the case? Did your “stories” pass the scrutiny of editors and copy editors before they were released? Does anyone actually pay to gain access to your “reporting”? Sitting at home in front of your computer posting your inane “thoughts” doesn’t make you a reporter. Moreover, your normal meanderings on this blog illustrates that you’re no intellectual either. jb, personally, I never had a problem with Bush going golfing occasionally. His choice not to out of respect for the families of our troops was noble, but a little recreation is good for your health, mental and physical. I would also have no problem with Obama hitting the links occasionally either. My problem with Obama is the frequency with which he does it, combined with his statement that he “wouldn’t rest” until people were back to work in this country. If you’re going to shoot your mouth off like that, you’d better be ready to put your money where your mouth is. The broken promises are getting pretty old…..
