Clyburn Plays Race Card: Calls Obamacare the 21st Century Civil Rights Act & Only Racists Would Want to Repeal It (Video)

Clyburn Plays the Race Card–
As Republicans get set to repeal the job-killing Obamacare bill today, Democratic Leader James Clyburn (D-SC) invoked the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and called Obamacare the Civil Rights Act of 21st Century.
In other words… Only racists would want to repeal it.

James Clyburn:

Doctor King also taught us that the time is always right to do right. After nearly a century of debate last March the time was right. And getting rid of these discriminatory practices was the right thing to do(?) And, that is the reason I call the bill the Civil Rights Act of the 21st Century. Interestingly, today we hear the same rhetoric about repeal of patients rights that we heard regarding voting rights.

Um, statement is a very racist statement. It kind of implies that the only folks benefiting from the bill are black, and the whites are somehow refusing to give “minorities” equality. Hell, anybody can buy insurance, nobody is stopping you; it ain’t a white vs. black thing.

Fortunately the Dems made extra special provisions to keep this maga-dufus the third most important face of the Democratic minority in the House. Between Clyburn, Pelosi, Reid, Obama, and ObamaCare I am looking forward to 2012. It should be really interesting. I picture a bunch of “mud” covered pigs squealing and running around a closed pen as farm hands prepare for a harvesting. I hope the Tea Party movement continues to gather steam; maybe we can improve on 2010 in terms of picked up seats.
