One in three Americans (35%) believe that Sarah Palin was responsible for the shootings in Tucson by an anti-Christian, anti-Constitution, left-wing, pro-Marx, antiflag, “quite liberal” lunatic who hated Bush.

After the mass slaughter in Tucson last week democrats and the liberal media immediately plotted to blame the shootings on the tea party and Sarah Palin.

Obviously it worked.
CNN reported, via Pundit Press:

According to the survey, just under half also blame the harsh rhetoric and violent metaphors used by politicians and commentators as a contributing factor behind the shootings, and 54 percent believe that harsh political rhetoric may lead to other shootings in the future…

…According to the poll, the public doesn’t blame Sarah Palin’s website for the incident in Arizona. Only a third of all Americans say that the website – which had an image that looked like the crosshairs of a gun marking Gifford’s congressional district – deserves a great deal or a moderate amount of blame. The former Alaska governor put the website up last year during the debate over health care reform, to highlight 20 congressional districts won by Sen. John McCain in the 2008 presidential election, where Democratic representatives were voting in favor of the legislation.

And 46% of Americans disapproved of Palin’s defense against the disgusting liberal media lies.

  3. So 1 in 3 Americans are idiots?

At least that’s better than 52% of Americans that acted stupidly when the cast their vote for Nope and Chains…

  4. CNN reported… Sorry, I can’t go beyond that.

  5. What it means is the orchestrated Reichstag fire smear worked. Sarah Palin is effectively finished as far as 2012 is concerned. Don’t forget how the Street Thug in Chief removed all of his potential opponents when He first ran for office, including an honorable, decent state legislator who had been a supporter of The Anointed One.

  6. From the same people who brought us Bush the First, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, John McCain and their like, the RINOs, and SOBama.

What else do you expect from the American people other than ignorance, stupidity and taking Freedom for granted?

America doesn’t need foreign enemies to destroy her, her so-called “citizens” are doing an excellent job.

Sit back, relax, enjoy the show!

The destruction of America is underway!

    Go China!!

  7. It’s not surprising that 35% believe this garbage, about 45% believe Obama is going a good job running the country. It is true that you can fool some of the Americans all the time, especially if they are liberal.

  8. This is a stab at the heart of everything decent.

  9. Patman#3 Iwas going to say the same thing. You hit it right on.

  10. The defeatists among conservatives show how weak our conservative movement is. You let some bulls**t polls and the liars in the media convince you that we should throw her over the side. The conservative movement does not have a spine anymore, and yet they wonder why the country moves left every year. What a shame. I will go down fighting, but I guess many conservatives will just bend over for the left/media.

  11. Democrat operatives are laughing their heads off. They won this round and only Palin fired back.

  12. Proof that 35% of the country is irremediably gullible and irrational. And all of those voted for Obama.

Did any those people ever see Palin’s map before the shooting? (I didn’t.) Do they have the slightest evidence that Loughner ever saw it? Of course not.

Did any lefties who may have seen the map previously step up and say “This is dangerous. Somebody could get hurt?” No, because their side produced similar maps and “target lists,” and probably even they knew it would have been idiotic to complain about a election map. Until they had a pretext.

About the 46% who “disapproved” of Palin’s defense of herself: Next them they are unfairly accused and publicly slandered, egregiously and viciously, I hope they will remember to keep quiet, sit back and take it, and let the lies turn into a massive public myth.

  15. There’s that 35% number again.

We can, based on the various polls lately, surmise that this is the percentage of our population who are the Dem base.

Headline for all these polls lately:
35% of People in this Nation are Completely Brainwashed and Ripe for Deception by the Television and Pop Culture.

Pretty much sums it up. The networks may be dying, but they certainly do have an extraordinary amount of power. Albeit, it’s not just the TV. It’s the K-PhD indoctrination in the schools, too. And the pop-culture idols, whose every word is taken as gospel by their adoring fans.

It becomes obvious when you see these polls that fully a third of this nation is fully deceived and enormously deceivable.

  16. More than a third, when you consider the election of Scott Brown by the TEA Partiers, and the adoration of Gov. Christie despite all his Scott-Brown-like RINO tendencies.

Even our side can be deceived, it seems. My guess is: in 2012, more than half the “TEA Party”-supported candidates will be smooth-talking infiltrators who say all the right words and wave that Gadsden flag. The one with the serpent on it. Yeah. A serpent.

Three facts House GOP cannot afford to ignore

[Examiner columnist Hugh Hewitt: "House Speaker John Boehner needs to start talking now about the 'selective shutdown' of the federal government that is ahead if the president refuses to listen to the verdict of the voters rendered decisively in November." If confrontation and the threat of a government shutdown are all but inevitable, then Republicans must begin now defining what that means for the public. House Republicans must, according to Hewitt, "reassure Americans and especially senior citizens [in advance] that they have provided the Senate with the bills necessary to fund Social Security, Medicare and defense, but that the president is holding these appropriations hostage in order to defend Obamacare, the bureaucrats at EPA and the left-wing broadcasters at NPR.” In other words, key functions of government can be maintained even as Republicans deliver what voters demanded in November.]

[“Based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms were founded,” says Dr. Lyle Rossiter, author of the new book, “The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness.” “Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave.”]

["A social scientist who understands human nature will not dismiss the vital roles of free choice, voluntary cooperation and moral integrity – as liberals do," he says. "A political leader who understands human nature will not ignore individual differences in talent, drive, personal appeal and work ethic, and then try to impose economic and social equality on the population – as liberals do. And a legislator who understands human nature will not create an environment of rules which over-regulates and over-taxes the nation's citizens, corrupts their character and reduces them to wards of the state – as liberals do."]

For more than a week, the White House, several political appointees inside the Department of Justice, and former Obama campaign staffers associated with Organizing for America have been coordinating on how President Barack Obama’s administration can capitalize on the Tucson shooting tragedy and the attack on Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.).

According to a White House source, conference calls on how to message and politicize the attack began late in the evening Washington time the day of the shooting. “Of course we weren’t going to let this thing go,” says a White House staffer. “Republicans are incapable of capitalizing on these kinds of events because the policy positions for many of them on things like guns tend to make them defensive. I just didn’t see the upside, especially if the follow up stories made clear he wasn’t who we were pushing friends in the media to portray.”

But that didn’t stop friends of the White House from doing its bidding, including pressing reporters to use Loughner’s middle name, Lee, in press accounts.

“Every famous assassin has a middle name and the fact that his was ‘Lee’ made it all the better,” says a former Obama 2008 campaign media consultant. “It isn’t like we had to work hard on this one.”

Other Obama Administration attempts to pump up the Loughner story included spreading misinformation initially reported in several national media outlets that the troubled young man might be a zealous pro-life advocate or was angry at Democrats’ blocking of Obamacare repeal.

Last week’s “Together We Thrive” memorial service in Tucson, where the President’s remarks were greeted with enthusiastic cheering and applause, mirroring the politically disastrous 2002 memorial service for Sen. But this entrepreneurialism is only good to a point, right Barry? Hence the need to “spread the wealth around.”

These polls are skewed in multiple ways to get the results they are seeking, to damage their political opponents. I don’t know if that is the case in this poll, but I suspect it is. They either ask leading questions OR over sample certain groups, but the purpose is to try to sway the public to their viewpoint. Just simple propaganda, so don’t put a lot of faith in these polls.

I polled my own friends and community and only 21% of the people buy into this line of CRAP, and they are the LOONS on the left. 56. I went back to the original poll questions attached to the CNN article, and it made me feel a little bit better about Americans, generally.

66% believe that “shootings like the one in Arizona will happen again regardless of what action is taken by government and society.” — I take this to mean that this means that neither government nor society are responsible for this type of shooting.

The most important factor in this incident was the resources available to deal with people who may be mentally ill, followed by gun laws, followed by harsh rhetoric across the board, followed by Sarah Palin’s website (the only specific example given).

I think it would be very telling if the American people were surveyed with examples of the blood libels launched against Sarah Palin, told about the timing, and asked if those blood libels had anything to do with the recent uptick in death threats against her and her family.

  57. Let’s see a repeat of the last election in the next. They had polls like this before that wipeout too. The American people are smarter than this. This is a biased poll with leading questions, no doubt.. weighted heavily with the minority liberal fans of CNN and Obama. It doesn’t work with the rest of the country, the majority, as they found out at election time. Hence they are trying to deceive the people by having Obie go to church and try and ACT presidential in the run up to the election. The people are really not that stupid.. at least, not those who care enough to vote and actually have half a brain when they look at the actual issues. I cannot believe America as a whole is that stupid as they say here. Do you?

  58. I think that number is 35% of Democrats. Democrats are variously defined as 30- 35% of registered voters. So we are looking at roughly 10% of the electorate. In other words, the hard left is one third of Democratic Party.

  59. Cheney: Obama will be a one-term president
    Jan 18 2011

Former vice president Dick Cheney, back in the public eye after a major heart operation, predicts that President Obama will be a one-term president because of health care and other big government programs.

In an interview airing this morning on NBC’s Today show, Cheney cited Obama’s “overall approach to expanding the size of government, expanding the deficit, and giving more and more authority and power to the government over the private sector.”

As for health care, Cheney said Obama has “enacted a program that a great many people are very worried about. And that there’s a lot of support out there for the effort to repeal that health care package.”

    Cheney also commented on:

The Arizona shooting and the alleged impact of heated political rhetoric: “I think we need to be a little careful about assuming that somehow the rest of society or the political class bears the responsibility for what happened here when it was the act of a deranged, crazed individual that committed a crime.”

He let his anger build and fester over this slight for over 3 years and then took action. How can any semi-intelligent person blame Sarah Palin for this????

  68. Pollsters are just like LAWYERS:

An engineer, a physicist, and a lawyer were being interviewed for a position as chief executive officer of a large corporation. The engineer was interviewed first, and was asked a long list of questions, ending with ‘How much is two plus two?’ The engineer excused himself, and made a series of measurements and calculations before returning to the board room and announcing, ‘Four.’

The physicist was next interviewed, and was asked the same questions. Again, the last question was, ‘How much is two plus two?’ Before answering the last question, he excused himself, made for the library, and did a great deal of research. After a consultation with the United States Bureau of Standards and many calculations, he also announced, ‘Four.’

The lawyer was interviewed last, and again the final question was, ‘How much is two plus two?’ The lawyer drew all the shades in the room, looked outside to see if anyone was there, checked the telephone for listening devices, and then whispered, ‘How much do you want it to be?’

remember that GOD knows everything and HE IS EVERY WHERE AND HIS JUSTICE AND TRUTH WILL BE IN SARAH’S FAVOR. It is in GOD’s HANDS…

  71. #74 i with those 71% of democrats. i think the politicaal left definitely promotes political violence.

  72. Surprising how many seem to be taking this ‘poll’ at face value.

Have the internals and demographics been released? It seems this poll was a necessary narrative correction to cover for the poll last week showing, embarrassingly for the Dims, that the people didnt buy the ‘rhetoric caused it’ angle.

Calm down folks, this is just standard agit/prop psy op stuff.

We’ll see how many liar polls they can fudge when gas is $5/per.

  73. The LEFT are incapable of speaking any truth. They are only capable of lying. It is their religion.

  74. This is a fake poll. California-grade stupidity can’t have infected this many people.

Taqiy – try a google search for Idi Amin – just what you need. I’ll work it over – where should I send it?

  76. At any given time in the USA 35% of the population is suffering from rectal-cranial inversion.
And that’s the way it is, Jan. 18th, 2011.

i’m laughing inside, but holding it back out of respect for the tragically
deceased.. unlike Obama et al who couldn’t even wait for their bodies
to cool, or the dirt was tossed on their graves before launching his 12
    presidential campaign.. :-(
