WSJ: Net Neutrality Was Manufactured and Astroturfed Into Law

A new report today described how Barack Obama planned and illegally passed net neutrality into law.
John Fund at the Wall Street Journal report by John Fund reported that net neutrality movement was manufactured and then astroturfed into law.
“The Federal Communications Commission’s new “net neutrality” rules, passed on a partisan 3-2 vote yesterday, represent a huge win for a slick lobbying campaign run by liberal activist groups and foundations. The losers are likely to be consumers who will see innovation and investment chilled by regulations that treat the Internet like a public utility…
[S]ome of the same foundations that have spent years funding net neutrality advocacy research ended up funding the FCC-commissioned study that evaluated net neutrality research.
So the “media reform” movement paid for research that backed its views, paid activists to promote the research, saw its allies installed in the FCC and other key agencies, and paid for the FCC research that evaluated the research they had already paid for. Now they have their policy. That’s quite a coup.”
Let’s hope someone passes this on to Congressional Republicans who have already announced that they will block this power grab by Barack Obama.

Liberals are not for a free press. We have three people on some FCC committee making landmark laws. They went around the courts and congress. This is what lil barry is going to do too America in his final two years. Bring it on jacka$$!

Normally, I’d trust that these statist actions by Obambi’s FCC would be overturned in court, not to mention Republicans fighting to roll back this bad regulation by unelected bureaucrats. However, after the way all too many Republicans rolled over on DADT, START, etc. I’m none too confident that RINO squishes like Murkowski, Brown, and Huckabee wouldn’t be eager to keep Net Neutrality to satistfy their own statist tendencies.

Until American citizens “get with the program” we are at the mercy of the liberal Republican Senators, i.e. Brown, Snowe, Collins and Murkowski. They have caused major harm to our Country in the last few days with their votes and until the voters get them out, we are stuck with this mess. Our family cannot believe we are going to have to look at Harry Reid for six (6) long hideous years. What’s the matter with people? Brown has definitely proved to be a complete hoax!

NN, Ocare, Nuctreaties, DADT……….the real citizens of our United States, Fly over country, Teabaggers, Religious Right, Silent Majority et al. January of 2011 is only the start of a real revolution of change and the taking out of the garbage of staid politicians on the Right and the Left.
These last days of 2010 are the end of a neat package of lies and slick marketing unvetted by our MSM. This past Fall’s great awakening will slow down the Liberal Machine and better believe we are more aware today of the Rino’s/Liberals (the miniscule few) making policy and passing Laws affecting the masses without our Representitives consent.
