Tingles Jumps Into Birther Fray: Why Doesn’t Obama Demand a Copy of His Birth Certificate? (Video)

Chris Matthews jumped into the birther fray yesterday, asking his panelists,
“Why has the president himself not demanded that they put out the initial documents?”

Great question, Tingles.
The Huffington Post reported:
Speaking to reporters Clarence Page and David Corn, Matthews addressed the recent efforts by Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie to be able to release more information about Obama’s birth.
“I am not a birther, I am an enemy of the birthers,” Matthews assured Page and Corn, before comparing a so-called “long form” birth certificate to the more abridged copy that Obama has released. “Why has the president himself not demanded that they put out the initial documents?” he asked.
Shame on you, Chris. You know you’re not supposed to ask that question!

To stoke the flames of confusion, of course.
The original plan was to give out just enough information for people to discredit themselves by over-speculating. A similar effect can be seen with the ‘UFO/Area 51′ deal. People’s imagination begin to run away, and speculation begins to be based upon other speculation, instead of on other facts. Eventually, the confusion becomes so great that no one knows what is real anymore.

He’s the freaking elected Governor of a sovereign state. He does not take orders from the President, or from Congress. He can release the information if he wants to. It’s not a matter of “able to”. That’s a crock. Either he’s thinking wrong or you’ve written it wrong. Either way, they should be able to find some academic records and writings to go along with it.

The timeline is everything. It is known how old Obama is and how old his mother was when he was born, hence we know where he was born. If the mother was underage at that time Obama cannot be a natural born citizen. The Hawaii issued birth certificate doesn’t matter.

I think that the documents that are more interesting are the passports- which I believe show him to be an Indonesian citizen.
As for these docs, there is a reason the media is doing this. While tingles is screaming about the right hand, what is the left hand doing? Instituting death panels perhaps?

Some believe that one of the reasons that his school transcripts will not be released is because it says that he is a foreign student. Don’t know, but not hard to believe. What I do know is that if this was a republican president, the press would be screaming for the release of these documents day after day after day.

I do believe the “sowing chaos & confusion” explanation probably covers the issue. Think about the alternative? If Obama is not native born, can any of his actions be defended as legally binding? The amateurish START treaty could be considered void. Obamacare goes up in smoke along with the Food Safety Act, etc., etc. Somehow I don’t think George Soros & company are quite that stupid. I could be surprised. Rather than pounding on Obama’s door to tell the truth, maybe a better approach would be to create an environment where it is in Obama’s best interest to stay in office; i.e. two can produce clever forgeries showing Obama born in Kenya & flood the Internet.

The problem with reviving this Red Herring will be with the delivery.
The original plan was to discredit the opposition. By promoting this mystery on MSNBC, the wrong people may be provoked. If loyal Democrats begin to question his citizenship then the whole thing will blow up in their faces.

I can believe that Obama gains more from the confusion. Critics who would otherwise be credible are discredited because they are labled “birthers.” After that, they have no realiable voice.
My opinion on the birth certificates is that the secret service probably did their job pretty well on 2 counts. First, they would have a pretty good idea of a person’s background once they became the junior sentator from Illinois because that person will have considerable access in the capitol building and to the president, then G.W.B. Second, I’m sure they are required to investigate anyone who is running for president to assure eligibility and because anyone running may again have access to the incumbent, other candidates, and official information and offices.

Besides his birth certificate, unreleased documents by Obama includes his kindergarten records, his Punahou school records, his Occidental College records, his Columbia University records, his Columbia thesis, his Harvard Law School records, his Harvard Law Review articles, his scholarly articles from the University of Chicago, his passport, his medical records, his files from his years as an Illinois state senator, his Illinois State Bar Association records, any baptism records, and his adoption records.
