Ann Wagner stands with the troops.

Today RNC Chair candidate Ann Wagner picked up the endorsement of Ambassador John Bolton .

John Bolton Endorses Ann Wagner

St. Louis – Ambassador John Bolton today issued the following statement endorsing Ann Wagner for Chairman of the National Republican Committee:

“Ann Wagner is a tough, no-nonsense conservative leader with the highest integrity, and has a long track record of raising money and winning elections. She’s also a terrific communicator who understands the role of chairman is to get the fundamentals right, but has the skills and gravitas to go head to head with Tim Kaine and the Democrats when needed. Ann Wagner also understands the power of social media to connect with voters and will ensure the RNC is on the cutting edge of communications. Ann Wagner is exactly what our National Republican Party needs to win in 2012.”

John Bolton is a former United States Ambassador to the United Nations who served in the Reagan, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush administrations. Bolton is currently a Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative think tank and a FOX News contributor.

And, there’s more…
RNC EXCLUSIVE – WAGNER GETS WEST VIRGINIA: Former Missouri Republican Party Chair Ann Wagner will pick up a pair of key endorsements in her bid to lead the RNC today, from West Virginia RNC Committeeman Jim Reed and Committeewoman Donna Lou Gosney. Their support pushes Wagner’s endorsement total into the double digits – and perhaps more importantly, they give her the backing she needs in order to be nominated for the chairmanship. Currently, only Wagner and Wisconsin Republican Party Chairman Reince Priebus have the public support to pass that test, which requires candidates to have two-thirds support from three different state delegations. (Wagner’s three are West Virginia, Missouri and Tennessee, while Priebus has Wisconsin, North Dakota and Mississippi.) Gosney explained her choice of Wagner thusly: “Ann Wagner is the whole package. We need new leadership that can lead us towards victory in 2012. We need an RNC Chair with Ann Wagner’s experience, integrity and stature who can raise money, lead and win.”

Ann Wagner picks up Missouri, Tennessee, West Virginia… Are we seeing a pattern here?
