Certainly Mrs. Palin would do a far better job then Obama and the Democrats.
She absolutely would not have offered such a disastrous offering as we see exposed with these criminal leaks, with the nightmarish Clinton State Department.

But as most know on your blog, I have grown weary of the hype about the Celebrity long ago, not finding it conservative at all. And I know Democrats are going to continue to mention Mrs. Palin at every turn, just as they did trying to Nationalize the weak offering of Ms. O’Donnell, for they feel these are easy targets – who resemble their ugly stereotype used to defeat their opponents.
It won’t work, however, as Mrs. Palin is a fine, attractive American. It doesn’t mean I feel she will be Our Best Offering for 2012 – and I find many things lacking with the Hockey Mom. I come from the WFB school – a product of Dr. Friedman. I was strongly opposed to the disastrous John McCain, and do encourage the empowerment of more sound Conservative Candidates. But find the fashion amongst Our Own to be a weakening effort.
But we will always expect this sophistry from Democrats in denial – and they will only hurt themselves if we continue to stick together and grow the sound cause.

I stopped watching Fox News when Nicole made appearance after appearance without being called out for her duplicitous behavior in 2008. Just to clarify, I would like to see another real conservative as our nominee in 2012, for several reasons. But I am not about to trash Palin, because she does not deserve it, not even in the smallest measure. She has been savaged far beyond the breaking point of most politicians, but to her credit she has not caved. She did more heavy lifting for the cause of conservatism during this last campaign season than any other individual on the national stage. She deserves applause and congratulations for her role.

I think Palin is great, and I think she is far more effective at sniping the libs from her media position. I didn’t say she wasn’t qualified to run (funny how my detractors latched on that for some reason) – she is qualified to be President, but she has become a powerful figure for good outside of political office.

This is the same Hockey Mom who pushed populist taxation on Oil Companies raising the cost of living for all, grew the Alaskan bureaucracy by building trendy “Climate Panels” (which Pelosi wanted to do on the Federal Level), and even mimicked Mr. Obama’s call for “holding the companies accountable” during the BIG BP SPILL.
The HYPE and the fashion is overt, and hardly reasoned.
But that is what the likes of Bogdan from Australia show us, how misguided hype can become.

Nearly any Republican today, even Murkowski or McCain, would be a better Presidential Offering than what we see today. I absolutely would prefer Ms. Palin to any Democrat – but the basis, and substance of the FASHIONABLE fan fare is so lost – it really is weak. It simply is not Conservative.
And Bogdan from Australia calling others “farts”, cause they cannot handle a differing (perhaps a more substantive) opinion, is showing us how bad the Fashion has become.

I’m a little puzzled and troubled by the way lines are being drawn here. In the minds of some, a conservative must support Palin for president, or that person is not a true conservative. I reject that artificial redlining of the issue.
I’ve been accused of “damning Palin by faint praise” because I like her and what she has done, yet I don’t think she is our best shot at capturing the White House. I can’t understand how my position can be construed as “damning” her in any way whatever.
Decisions on our best candidate should not be made on the basis of fairness. Yes, it’s very unfair that Palin has been sabotaged by both the Dems and by the Republican elite. It’s unfair that this has tarnished her in the eyes of the voters. And it’s unfair that she hasn’t been able to correct this course. But it’s all factual. It’s real.
Palin polls terribly among independents, with only a third viewing her favorably. Without carrying that group, no candidate can possibly win the White House. And her overall negative numbers are on the rise. One Gallup poll recently had her at 52% negative, 40% positive. These are not winning numbers. Again, unfair, but reality.
Palin is absolutely qualified to be president, far more so than a lot of recent candidates, and orders of magnitude greater than the unqualified Doofuss-in-Chief we have now. She has good ideas. Her political philosophy would help set this country back on the right course. She would serve well. But I don’t believe she can win, so none of that really matters when I’m looking for the best possible conservative candidate.
