What a complete shock.
Liberal anti-American journalists hid Wikileaks founder Julian Assange at the Frontline Journalist Club in London until he surrendered to British police on Tuesday.

The journalists “quite liked having him here because he’s made us a more interesting venue.”
MSNBC reported:
The Frontline Club in London is the kind of place where war correspondents and investigative reporters mingle with admirers and wannabes, fired by a shared passion for exposing government spin, revealing the truth — and fine dining.
So when WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange found himself at the center of an international firestorm over the website’s publication of leaked U.S. diplomatic cables, he knew where he would be well-fed and, more importantly, safe.
Amid calls for Assange’s assassination or prosecution under espionage laws and condemnation from U.S. commentators like Sarah Palin — who dubbed him “an anti-American operative with blood on his hands” — the Frontline Club closed ranks and kept his whereabouts to themselves.
Vaughan Smith, a former television cameraman who founded Frontline, said Assange had previously held talks and other events at the club and they “quite liked having him here because he’s made us a more interesting venue.”
Assange lived in rented rooms at the club for about three weeks until he surrendered to British police on Tuesday in connection with allegations of sexual misconduct in Sweden. Until then, no one at the club, members or employees, spilled the news of his presence.

Are there laws in UK prohibiting the harboring of international fugitives?
…LOL. Wait, this is the UK we’re talking about. New France, so to speak.
Wrists might be slapped, but doubtful even that.

What? How did they get him to the Whitehouse so fast?

Isn’t it amazing the way Leftists are allowed to keep secrets but no one else is?
Daniel commented:
Heck with all that.
I want to know why he gave himself up. Something else going on? Was it his own idea to do that? Or did someone make a suggestion of some kind?

“Until then, no one at the club, members or employees, spilled the news of his presence.” So much for reporters!

Birds of a feather . . .

Daniel,
I think Assange knows that the US is preparing warrants and that he has the attention of some very unfriendly countries. He’s safer in Sweden under custody than roaming around loose. Plus, Sweden’s charges against him are shaky.

Totally unexpected

Well those two-bit hypocrites!
Don’t they remember their Very Own Words:
“THE PUBLIC HAS THE RIGHT TO KNOW!!!”
“THE PUBLIC HAS THE RIGHT TO KNOW!!!!”
“THE PUBLIC HAS THE RIGHT TO KNOW !!!!!”
These dam-fool yutzes have been excusing their actions and justifying their release of “sensitive information” with that trite little sound-bite (even though publishing these documents -which include informants’ names- makes it certain that some of these people will be targeted for reprisal by Enemies Of The West).
So why is Mr. Julian Assange more “special”, more deserving of privacy, than these diplomatic cables — whose revelations will surely affect the lives and livelihood of many other people in a MOST UNPLEASANT way, solely due to Mr. Assclown’s actions ???
Hey, Mr. Assclown — I’m a member of the public, so I have a RIGHT TO KNOW.

Wouldn’t the Bush Doctrine apply? Here we have an individual waging war against us and a group harboring the scum.
Yes, I do realize this is not directly applicable, but somehow I find myself hoping all these vermin find themselves wishing they’d taken out more life insurance. Soon.
MSM Hosebag commented:
A_Nonny_Mouse, you have the right to know what we think you should, peasant.
apodoca commented:
Why is that a shocker? The media are Leftists, at home and abroad. Look closely and you’ll see the ties between Assange, NYT, WaPo, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, etc. They have a chokehold on us that they want to become a death grip via the FCC. Their play is to shut the web down and limit it to them. Global domination. No big surprise that they’re in bed with socialists, communists, Islamists cuz all of them are interested in the same global domination.

If we had a CIA that was worth anything, that club would be a pile o’ rubble by now.

So if a fugitive CONSERVATIVE RAPE SUSPECT was in their midst……..WOULD THAT BE NEWSWORTHY and WOULD THEY REPORT that????
rabble-rouser commented:
Is it just me or does Julian Assange look like a woman?
wiseguy commented:
@rabble-rouser – You’re right on – he should now be referred to as “Julia” (as in the Beatles “Joooolia – wont you come out tonight”) — then he’d be off the hook for raping 2 women. Until the boys began to testify against him.
malclave commented:
“Liberal anti-American journalists”
Kind of redundant, don’t you think?
UK-Guy commented:
People are starting to talk about storming the police station and releasing this inocent man and whilst we are about it we should also drag the MP’s out of bed and hold them to account.
The person who leaked the information made a pledge to server the american people against, both foriegn and domestic enermies and he did his duty and yet is also behind bars.
Do you think MP’s stelling money and giving our money to the banks is the way to go or do you think it’s time we sorted this mess out once and for all.
Justice in the UK is a joke the world over.
