Juan Williams: “Sarah Palin Can’t Stand on an Intellectual Stage With Obama”

Far left (but not crazy enough for NPR) FOX analyst Juan Williams told the FOX News Sunday panel yesterday that Sarah Palin can’t hold her own against Mr. Wonderful Barack Obama:
“There is nobody out there except for Sarah Palin who could absolutely dominate the stage and she can’t stand on the intellectual stage with Obama.”

Barack Obama tripled the national deficit in one year. When Speaker Pelosi took over Congress the national deficit was $162 billion. When she exits in 2011 as Speaker it will be at $1.29 Trillion dollars.
Obama topped a trillion dollars his second year, too.

48 of 50 states have lost jobs since Obama rammed through his Trillion dollar stimulus bill. The Obama-Pelosi economic plan resulted in a cumulative 7.5 million jobs deficit. In fact, Barack Obama is the worst jobs president since the Great Depression.
Maybe that explains why Barack Obama saw 63 democrat representatives lose their seats to Republicans this year- a 70 year record. A majority of Americans said the election was a referendum on Obama’s failed agenda.
So, what makes Barack Obama such a genius again?

It’s true that Obama’s intelligence is vastly overrated. But saying so is not an argument for Sarah Palin’s presidential qualifications. Palin will not win over the middle or the independents. And there are conservatives who find Palin-mania embarrassing and not at all helpful to spreading conservatism beyond those who are already Palin fanatics — which amounts to far from a majority of voters.

I’m sure that Jimmy Carter’s IQ and Barack Obama’s IQ divided into mine would result in a fraction uncomfortably close to zero.
But I am smart enough to know those two geniuses are the two worst presidents of the past 100 years – and perhaps, ever.
How can anyone forget in this discussion that Obama CHOSE Joe Biden to be the vice president of the united freakin states? That he CHOSE Janet Napolitano as Secretary of Homeland Security? In my humble dumbness, I believe Sarah Palin would never – I mean never – pick a certified doofus like Biden to be next in line for the presidency. Nor would she pick such losers as Napolitano or Holder, or others that could be named.
I also think Sarah Palin, standing on her own intellectual platform regardless how far removed from Obama’s, is eminently more qualified to be vice president than Biden. (I’m probably more qualified to be vice president than Biden – and so are you. Most of you, anyway.)

If what passes for intellect is measured by the words/actions of our current White House resident, we are truly in deep do do. The man has not done or said anything in the past two years that indicates above-average mental abilities. He is an indecisive puppet for the polls, he cannot phrase a complete sentence without pausing, he cannot give an impromptu speech. In fact, I cannot think of a single instance where he has shown anything more than an average ability to grasp complex, and that’s a rare occurence too. During my working career of several decades I had occasion to work with some true intellectual giants on a daily basis. Engineers, astronauts, and scientists as well as talented people in the arts, and letters. I could drop a half dozen names that most of you would recognize, but I will refrain.
