Palin-hater Kathy Griffin got booed after attacking Bristol Palin at an event for the troops.
Mediaite reported:
Comedian and self-proclaimed “D-lister” Kathy Griffin hosted VH1 Divas Salute the Troops which was taped for an audience of servicemen at the Marine Corps Air Station in Miramar, California, and aired last night. The ribald and unconventional comedian set the tone for the night when she joked about Bristol Palin and her supposed weight gain while competing with Dancing With The Stars. But the joke fell flat, as the military men and woman in attendance lustily booed the host for taking a shot at Sarah Palin’s daughter.
She just can’t help herself.

I used to love MTV when it was a music venue, and I am not into censorship. But it has been blocked at my house for years now, along with VH-! and its assorted spinoffs. Shortly after its inception VH-1 became a soft-core porn channel – every special glorified hookers and sex. One such show is interesting. A steady diet is not, and it is positively not suitable for the kids who would be its likely audience. MTV is even worse.
Bless the troops for shutting her down. I believe you will see a sea change when these men come home, and begin running for office, and remember what they have seen, and what people like Griffin have done.

Um, I have never been to a comedian’s show where the jokes people enjoyed were booed during their presentation. They always seemed to be laughed at to me with lots of clapping. I think if the troops had liked the jokes, they would have reacted the same way any normal person at any normal comedic event would with laughing and clapping, not booing. Unless of course we are living in bizzaro world where everything is backwards…that seems to be where most liberals reside.

When “examining the evidence” means subjecting myself to Griffin, you can be positive that I’ll skip the viewing and just take GP’s word for it.
Besides, it’s not necessary to view this clip. In this one, just like all of them, Griffin was loud, obnoxious, sarcastic, insulting and, at times, obscene but never funny. If you’ve seen one clip of Griffin, you’ve seen ‘em all.

Fwiw, if I’d organized/coordinated a USO show featuring divas, I’d have tried to wrangle up a handsome American male entertainer or comic or three to host/co-host the show. This would not only add a little more eye-candy to the show, but it would also lend credibility and a little somethin-somethin to the introductions of the performing divas.
I try to imagine Griffin introducing “the lovely and talented miss ________” but all my mind sees and hears is Griffin shrieking out, “No! I’m a jealous creature and must be the center of attention! Look at me! Don’t look away!” Yet there are quite a few male actors and comedians, from both the A and B lists, who I can picture saying “Give it up for the lovely and talented miss ________,” with the warmth and sincerity that has an audience sure her performance is fantastic before she sings her first note.
Ooohh…I know who I’d try to get first. He’d be great, if not as host then definitely as “special co-host” or “special guest” to say a few things to the troops and introduce a diva or three. And because he’s an American patriot, he’d probably do it. And that is Jon Voight. Complete opposite of Griffin in every way imaginable…and that’s a good thing.

The thing is, Kathy Griffin’s comments about Bristol Palin weren’t funny or obnoxious or even senseless. They were just plain mean, nasty and rotten.
Griffin has always been vulgar and raunchy. That’s her trademark. But she stooped to an all-time low of bitchiness and sleaziness with those really quite inappropriate comments to our troops
Another question is, why would she subject our Marines to such vile comments, unless, like all liberals, that psycho hates the military?
From what I saw when the camera panned that crowd , the only people who were amused by her snotty comments were a few young black girls in her audience.
Suffice to say, Kathy Griffin is one VERY sick freak. She and Bill Mahar and Joy Bahar have become three of the sickest, the slimiest, the most evil, the most loathesome and the most despicable creeps in showbusiness. Larry King’s kind of people, to be sure. But then, like them, he’s a sick, slimy low-life, too.
