It’s kiss and makeup time…

President Ahmadinejad (right) welcomes new Revolutionary Guards leader Mohammad Ali Jafari (Telegraph Photo)
Today’s Wikileaks leak is historic. Never before has a superpower lost control of such vast amounts of sensitive information. The The leaked documents presumably came from the same source- Private First Class Bradley Manning – who was bitter after a breakup with his boyfriend. Manning, smuggled the information out of a secure facility on a CD-RW labeled “Lady Gaga.”
But despite the horror of this latest leftist assault on the United States, at least we now know this…
Ahmadinejad got bitch-slapped by Ali Jafari.
Der Spiegel reported:
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s emissaries also learn of a special “Iran observer” in the Azerbaijan capital of Baku who reports on a dispute that played out during a meeting of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council. An enraged Revolutionary Guard Chief of Staff Mohammed Ali Jafari allegedly got into a heated argument with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and slapped him in the face because the generally conservative president had, surprisingly, advocated freedom of the press.

Can anyone tell me why a PFC, basically one step up from a boot, had such access to classified information?
Is our national security so inept that it would do this? Is our military to incompetent that it would but a buck private in charge of documents that could do massive damage to the United States?
Oh, yeah, it is and it can all be summed up in two words: Nidal Hassan.

So, Conservatives want freedom of the Press? Who knew?

Retire05, He’s a hacker, right?

#4, yeah, he’s a hacker. One that swore an oath to not only the Constitution but to protect and defend the American people. In my view, there is no greater low life that Manning. Personally, I am sorry we abolished the firing squad. And didn’t Benedict Arnold do no less than what this guy did? Didn’t Arnold reveal secrets to our enemies (and yes, I view the clown from Wikileaks an enemy).
And what a role model for abolishing the DADT policy.
retire05 commented:
Sure, LYNNDH, I believe in the First Amendment. Consequently, I want your computer hacked into, all your medical records published on the internet, your criminal history, including any speeding tickets you may have gotten, published on the front page of yahoo news, your divorce records, and your most private emails put out there for all the public to see.
I am sure you would have no problem with that thinking that the freedom of the press trumps your right to privacy.

I am wondering why the CIA hasn’t made working for WikiLeaks a very dangerous job. Hopefully the KGB or Mossad can cause some folks to end up missing.

Given the way Obama’s regime has consistently strong armed and humiliated Israel, I would imagine that the Mossad is rather enjoying this. Why should they do TheWon any favors?

I find this exceedingly hard to believe too. Granted, DoD security is at least a couple of decades behind the eight ball and there is a certain class of teeny compu-geek that has historically delighted in breaking in. This just seems like way too much access for a mere private though.

Golly. You need a program to tell the good guys from the bad. Now I
see why Obama hates his job, and couldn’t care less about the country. He’s a pure ideologue, and fails miserably as a hands-on President.
Marx was probably a lousy golfer too.

Till you have aleader and not an affirmative action president, what do you expect?
He’s a joke of global proportions. a usefull idiot to the rest of the word. THAT’S how smart he is. He can’t even outsmart the dumbest criminal leaders in the world. Let alone swim in the deep pool of thought that is America. He HATES America as founded. He will do everything to distroy her. then there are those of us willing to give our all. powder is dry.

Do these potentially embarrassing and compromising cables have to be save on some hard drive in Baghdad? I would suggest that most of these cables could have been deleted instead of saved.

Let us consider the publishers who printed all of this dangerous information. Can someone explain to me how the NYT is different from a fence who, though he does not steal property directly, knowingly sells stolen property? That is a crime. Why is it that the NYT cannot be prosecuted for criminal activity?
Fred Beloit commented:
I should have added that yes the press is guaranteed freedom, but the Constitution doesn’t protect the right to sell illegally gotten goods.
