NPR’s Mara Liasson today told the FOX News Sunday panel that antiwar socialist Nancy Pelosi is just like Winston Churchill.
Churchill lifted his country to victory.
Pro-surrender Pelosi helped democrats triple the deficit and double the unemployment rate. She rammed through nationalized health care on a strictly partisan vote.
There’s a big difference, Mara.
George Soros and Media Matters must have her spooked.

Churchill won over Nevile Chamberlain and Chamberlain served in Churchill’s war cabinet until shortly before his death.
Pelosi has never won over anyone by the strength of her convictions and the truth of her argument.

I suggest that the new Congress immediately impose a “Kool Aid” tax on all Liberals and apply the proceeds to reducing the national debt. As much of it as they seem to be drinking, the tax could have a major impact on reducing the current deficit significantly and possibly creating a surplus.

Just as a goof (and if the opportunity presented itself) I used to refer to her as “Mara Lyingsome” when I was around a Move-On supporting “progressive” female acquaintance of ours.
Of course, that would visibly annoy her every time. “That’s not her name!” she would spit, and I would ask, “Are you sure? I heard that that is her real name, and that she had to change it for TV.”
And, of course, our acquaintance would fall for it every time, and get indignant over the obvious goof. Heh.
My sense has been for the past year or so Mara has at least been bearable on Fox when expressing her views on one or another topic. I don’t want to say thoughtful, but at least bearable.
But now, it looks like she may be going back to her old ways of blurting out dumb comments. That one really takes the cake!
The only thing I can think is that maybe she is somehow trying to innoculate herself from the inevitable nasty rath of the left, especially now following the vicious trashing of Juan Williams.
