What is going on here?
A station in Delaware did not run the Christine O’Donnell program this morning even though the 30 minute program was paid for.
They said they “forgot” to air it.

They were reminded to run the show this morning.
More… The ad was supposed to air on Sunday night. They forgot then, too.
The O’Donnell Campaign released the following statement:
“It’s still unclear as to why the local cable channel failed to air the half-hour long special. Our hope is that this is not another case of the liberal media or political dirty tricks trying to silence Christine’s message to the voters of Delaware.
“Christine announced the broadcast during yesterday’s rally in Wilmington, and it was scheduled to run at 11:30 p.m. Sunday and again at 10 a.m. today. But, the channel did not air the powerful ad at either scheduled time. We are very disappointed that an ad, which the campaign paid for last week, was not aired as scheduled.”
UPDATE: The station finally aired the ad at 3:00 EST today.

It is a violation of federal law to refuse to run a campaign ad. If they don’t air the O’Donnell spot then they can lose their licsense to broadcast. Gosh, it looks like 6p.m. is pretty open. Just cancel the local evening news (which nobody watches these days anyway) and run the paid program.
Incidentally, it’s corruption like these “accidents” which validate a Sarbanes-Oxley regulation on the media. We will need to require journalists be held to an external legal standard for accuracy, non-bias, appropriate attribution, etc. and will need to have publishers held personally and criminally responsible for their news entity’s conduct.
Just as a corporate CEO and CFO faces years of jail time for material misstatements to the public which can affect their financial investments, the publisher and editors should face the same consequence for material misstatements affecting the public’s political investments.

I’ve been arguing this for weeks with Nate and Micah Cohen at the NY Times. When asked to run a simulation based on not only the generic, but the indicated proportions by demographics, he declined.
The demographics are a big deal because of the way the pollster have modeled their turnout based on ’06 and ’08. Christine O’Donnell is currently winning in the lower two counties of Delaware, plus she is leading with independents. If African Americans in New Castle County don’t show up in the same proportions they did for Obama, she just might win this. Liberal heads would explode nationwide.

Is there any possibility at all that there is someone in the O’Donnell campaign who was supposed to bring the video to that station by the due date and time, only to make it late, because that someone is actually a MOLE for the Democrats? Remember, the job of the Democrats here is to make her as radioactive as possible. Someone in her campaign must be doing all the wrong things on purpose.

The Campaign Spot
Rep. Jim Moran Disparages Col. Patrick Murray’s Military Service
hope to hell not!!
[Moran has amassed many enemies in his two decades
in Congress due to his personal conduct and connections.
In 2003, Moran took criticism for blaming the “leadership of the Jewish community” for the war in Iraq. The congressman subsequently apologized for his remarks.
The congressman’s political opponents have also frequently made reference to Moran’s temper, which has gotten him in trouble repeatedly.
In April 2000, The Washington Post reported an 8-year-old child’s family had filed a complaint against the congressman for grabbing him by the neck and cursing at him for looking at Moran’s car in a way that supposedly suggested he was trying to steal it.
Moran has also been involved in numerous scuffles with his ex-wife, members of the clergy, and at least one other member of Congress, according to numerous press reports.
In recent days, the Murray campaign has hit the incumbent hard over comments he made suggesting the retired colonel’s military service did
not equal “public service.”]
just a sample of why..
["While brave young Virginia men and women are risking their lives to fight terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan, Connolly, Moran and Kaine are yucking it up with them and slapping each other on the back over at the Marriott,"
He noted that the three politicians' campaign war chests are
heavily funded by radical Islamists who support the mosque.]
as far as i’m concerned.. when his time comes,
Moran can rot in hell with Murtha & Hussein..

Personally, I think the idea of getting justice through the courts is pretty much out of the question, as long as the Democrats are in power.
A better idea, is to take over the House and Senate, and put a stop to government involvement in news media – meaning, no tax breaks, no bailouts, for “troubled” news outlets. Treat them like any other business. This, in turn, will force the news media to attract a wide audience, to be successful; and that means, that they will have to adhere to standards of journalistic integrity. Propaganda will not attract viewers, readers, or listeners. And if you lack an audience, you will not be able to attract advertisers. The marketplace is still the best place to punish those outlets that operate in defiance of “the will of the people.”
