Another incident of voting machine irregularities was also reported yesterday in North Carolina. A voter said he pushed the button for a straight-party Republican ticket and the voting machine screen displayed a ballot with all Democrats checked. The problem was reported in two different counties.
WITN reported:

The Sun Journal reported:

A Craven County voter says he had a near miss at the polls on Thursday when an electronic voting machine completed his straight-party ticket for the opposite of what he intended.

Sam Laughinghouse of New Bern said he pushed the button to vote Republican in all races, but the voting machine screen displayed a ballot with all Democrats checked. He cleared the screen and tried again with the same result, he said. Then he asked for and received help from election staff.

“They pushed it twice and the same thing happened,” Laughinghouse said. “That was four times in a row. The fifth time they pushed it and the Republicans came up and I voted.”

M. Ray Wood, Craven County Board of elections chairman, issued a written statement saying that the elections board is aware of isolated issues and that in each case the voter was able to cast his or her ballot as desired.

Chuck Tyson, chairman of Craven County GOP, remains skeptical. He has been communicating with Wood about the issue and was invited to a meeting Wednesday with state elections officials. There were no further details about that meeting.

“Something is not right here,” Tyson told the Sun Journal. He said he “got two or three calls” from people describing the same problem while they were voting.

“I’ll be matter of fact, I didn’t find that press release satisfactory,” Tyson said, referring to Wood’s written statement.

Tyson reported other problems as well, including long lines waiting for just two voting machines in Havelock, and machines reporting 250 ballots cast where 400 voters had signed in to vote.

This follows the news yesterday of voting machines irregularities in Nevada.

  1. The Democrat Party has managed to legalize organized crime.

  2. I have never liked the electronic voting. How do we know what you really cast after you pull the card? At least with a paper ballot your sure what YOU selected. Unless of course your in Broward Co FL.

    I want a paper ballot.

  3. jmm, DITTO, well actually we do use a color in the circle paper ballot in my district in Missouri. I much prefer that method. Not sure what the double check method is for electronic voting, doesn’t seem to me that there really could be one.

While the Florida election was a fiasco, the bigger fiasco is how the Democrats cherry picked a district that was heavily Democrat. I know that all Republicans are saints but man it sure does seem like the win by hook or crook is a Democrat Thing!

  4. Are these machines serviced by the SEIU also? I fear that it may already too late to save our country from the marxists, but if we can somehow regain control of congress, then election security must be a priority.

  6. Remember how the Democrats were screaming about this big conspiracy with Diebold?

Was it like the spouse who is cheating accusing the other spouse of cheating to cover up their infidelity?

  7. I saw a bunch of reports like this from various places yesterday. I would be really curious to know if those machines involved are all made by the same company or serviced by the same company or use the same software. . . . .. VERY curious. This is too much of a coincidence to be anything other than deliberate.

The Democrat Party has managed to legalize organized crime.
    ________

They did that long ago. Old Joe Kennedy, father of JFK, RFK and Ted, was a rum runner during prohibition quite nearly the equal of Al Capone. The difference was that Old Joe bought himself an ambassadorship to England while Capone went to jail for tax evasion.

  8. Piglosi and Axleslime and Bite Me might be right.

The Dems will keep boths houses because they have rigged every voting machine in the nation.

I voted last Friday in Colorado, checked all Republicans, glanced over my choices – but not real carefully. I am angry at myself for taking for granted my choices were still there.

PEOPLE: DOUBLE CHECK WHEN VOTING BECAUSE IT’S HAPPENING ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. TODAY I SAW A STORY WHERE IT’S HAPPENING IN PENNSYLVANIA.

  9. North Carolina AND Nevada having “irregularites”.
Only two companies make the machines.
All of them serviced by unions.
    Organized crime.
    Democrats.
    Elderly people are “irregular”.
    Voting machines are programed.
    This is fraud.

powder is dry, fight is coming.

  10. Why does it seem that whenever there is a voting machine irregularity, it always favors the democrats? Can’t these machines make mistakes that favor republicans every once in a while?

  11. - Paper Ballots
    - Photo ID
    - Purple Fingers (like in Iraq – to prevent double voting)

If people perceive that the elections aren’t fair – they will refuse to live with the results and we could see some serious unrest. Our country and our freedoms are in jeopardy.

  12. And WAIT – There’s MORE!

Up in Chicago close to a half million voters may be disenfranchised because the company hired to handle the vote by mail ballots sent the ballots to late to be returned on time and messed up birthdates so they don’t match records. . . . hmmm, wonder how many of those folks whose vote isn’t going to count are Republicans?

And still more problems from Philadelphia & surrounding. . .

There are two companies that make voting machines. One of them is owned by a staunch Obamabot. “Nuff said?

which company out of curosity cuz’ i don’t know.

  16. I worked the polls as a clerk (running the polling location) and and in the number two position for 7 different elections, all using touch screen voting machines (IVOtronics). Never encountered a problem like this.

If we had any problem, the machine was to be taken off-line immediately and not used for the balance of the day and the votes counted after the polls closed.

One interesting feature of the touch screen machines and one the fraud friendly folks disliked was the machines were preprogrammed to shut down at the time the polls closed, but could be activated only with the clerk’s activator if the voting hours were extended, or there were lines at closing time. A written record of each late vote was kept. This feature was designed to prevent the most common form of voter fraud, using unvoted names from the roster (voters list) and voting for them after hours.

The best way to stop fraud is to report any discrepency to the clerk and let the media know what happened. Poll watchers are important in locations where poll workers and voters are all from the same party. My county made concerted efforts to make sure there was a balance between the two parties. I believe they still do.

  17. I’m taking my camera to the polls and recording a video of all my votes so any funny business with machines is captured on video.

  18. I think that there was a programming “error” in N. Carolina – in that it was checking the Dems too quickly. It wasn’t probably supposed to check all the dems until AFTER it was displayed for verification – but the programmer got it wrong and made it place all the checks BEFORE verification.

  19. They don’t want the border sealed or it would be sealed.

They don’t want then vote properly counted or it would be properly counted.

  20. The ONLY way electronic voting should be allowed is – two paper ballots with the selections are printed immediately. The voter must verify the paper ballot – and turns one in for counting – the other as a receipt.

The paper ballots are counted and verified against the electronic ballots. These numbers must match.

The voter can then on-line verify that their ballot was counted correctly by looking up on a website with a keyed code that matches the electronic and paper ballots. This keyed code pulls up both the electronic ballot and the paper ballot – and also gives a cross reference for each as to the sequence they were counted in each tally.

Then I MIGHT trust the tally.

I’m an ex-programmer – scamming this current system is WAY too easy!!!

  21. Still waiting for Afghanistan to voice their concern over US voting fraud and irregularities.

  22. I came from VN, a communist country.
No matter who you vote, the out come is decided by the the people in power.
I see this country is heading that direction.

  23. This is why 10,000 e-voting machines burned in a warehouse fire in Houston a few weeks ago. It was either to cover for tampering of existing machines because “True the Vote” was on to the scammers or so they could more easily tamper with the new incoming replacement machines. But one thing it absolutely was not……..an accident.

  24. The Government derives its power from the consent of the people. What do we do if they lie about our “consent”? We must start thinking now about what we must do if they steal this election. How do we “alter or abolish” the current government as it says in the Declaration of Independence after they disenfranchise our votes. Evil prevails when good people do nothing.
We had a teachable moment a few years ago. It was in Romania when the people peacably took to the streets in large numbers. They came back day after day in spite of being beaten and shot at. Instead of being intimidated their numbers grew until they brought the tyrants down and gained freedom.
Do we have the spine for something like this in order to save our country and preserve our freedom?
Think now about what you are willing to risk should the need arise.
You may think I am a melodramatic scaremonger but I do hope my fears are unfounded.

  25. This is really scaring me.

Glenn Beck is correct in stating that we need to turn to God and our faith. That is the only thing that we can count on in these last days.

  26. Use old and new technology. Electronic voting with a paper receipt. Numbered of course.

  27. If you have a choice do not use the touch screen machines. In my state we can use touch screen or paper ballot where you fill in the line to vote for the candidate with a pen. I never use the touch screen and because of the recent news stories my fears about them have been confirmed. I suspect if the dems steal this election it will create a social massive upheaval. Taking a camera is a good idea. You could also film the Panthers in action.

Not sure about the (specific) legality. So … might caution ’bout use in the actual poll (and even near environs)? None the less, do agree, everyone who has vid capability … should bring it … just in case.

    Six Days.

Don’t everyone git their panties in an uproar/twist. Let’s let the election take place first. Please. Let’s watch. Let’s wait. Let’s see. OK?

Yes, it is disturbing … that these questions DO currently exist … about the integrity of the process. But we all know, without much of any question … what might happen … what can happen … even what will happen. Should they dare.

And we all know it won’t be pretty. We CAN wait six days … yeah we can [even if Chucklehead's skipping out the back door, day or two after the election. And heading for mooselimb Asia (ya can't make this sh*t up)].

  29. I would venture to say, that this would be the way to a violent uprising? If the Libs take away our vote?

Seriously what is our real option? We are trying the peaceful method right? So now what?

ROLL OVER AGAIN? I am with the “MILITANT CONSERVATIVE” Powder is dry!

  30. Now you know where all the stimulus money went and why all the Democrats so arrogantly ignored us throughout the last year. This is why Pelosi bragged that their party would remain in power and their agenda will be achieved.
We all suspected but dared not imagine what lengths these evil people would go to to rule OVER us. If the election comes out whisker close in favor of Democrats, a war will ensue.

  31. Folks — calm down. If somebody was deliberately tweaking the code in the machines to favor a particular candidate or party, they would not have to tell the user interface that they were doing it. It would be much, much easier to leave the X’s right where the voter put them, but add the tally to the wrong bucket, and nobody would ever complain.

The problems in these reports are just problems with the alignment between the screen and the image beneath it, where the machine misinterprets your touch to mean something other than what you thought it meant. That’s not deliberate.

It is certain that election officials who opt for electronic voting need to make sure there are sound audits in place to detect and prevent rogue code manipulation. Perhaps all parties on the ballot should have the opportunity to do their own Quality Assurance tests on the machines to be used. But if there were deliberate attempts to hack voting machines, it probably would not show up on the screen.

    Relax.

  32. If the Democrats steal this election, nothing will come of it because Leftist minions run Homeland Security and the inJustice Department.

Any actions which spill out into the streets will be violently crushed (think third world tinhorn dictatorship), the entire Republican Party will be scorned by the Leftist lackeys in the Dem Propaganda Machine (formally known as the Mainstream Media), and you all will be painted as sore losers who are unhinged and violent just like they’ve been trying to paint you all from the get-go.

Moreover, this will give Obama a reason to suspend the Constitution and declare Martial Law, which I’m sure he’s been laying awake at night staring at the ceiling dreaming about how great it would be if he was President-For-Life and could just somehow have total power and control.

I’m not saying don’t do anything. I’m just saying that now that we have this guy in power (which should’ve never happened in the first place), the stakes are much much higher, and you’ll have to be prepared for him and the entire gov’t establishment which he now controls, to react to ‘demonstrations’ by the little people, like any totalitarian would act, i.e., violently and without remorse.

    I’m just saying…

  33. Mahdi Al-Dajjal, if Dems steal this election, martial law won’t stop the uproar in this country. Other countries are laughing at us, as we have been so blindedly lead down the path of Socialism

  34. not surprising as here in N.C. the dumocrats have ran the state into the ground….

  35. Pass the word everybody check your votes before leaving your voting stations. before you turn your ballots in double check and triple check
    them, inspect what you expect!!

  36. No doubt the democrats are going to do everything they can to win – no amount of cheating is too much.

If they are that stupid, that deranged, and even that traitorous. And the worst really does come to pass? ALL bets WILL be off. We ain’t/won’t be playin’. This is not a game … this is not a joke … this is not a drill.

  38. Me again with my conspiracy theories but is it normal for a president to reserve that many rooms when traveling abroad. Over 500 rooms, and all facilities, lets just say that there are two people to a room thats an army of 1000. Hillary will be gone too. He has called us enemies and voter fraud IS GOING TO HAPPEN. Im really nervous and Im not prepared. I know I sound looney but look how he acts when off prompter. I think someone called him back to DC to shut him up. HELP calm me.

  39. Don’t worry. I am sure that Jimmy Carter will be on hand to declare the election honest and fraud free.

  40. I think James O’Keefe needs to take his hidden camera into the voting booth. The citizen jornalist of the world need to video their ENTIRE voting experience.

  41. Isolated issues maybe.

But that poses a question. Has the system been tested properly? I doubt that, honestly. Also, it clearly shows that the system is not ready for use.

Personally I don’t like such electronic voting system. Manipulating them is not hard. And they may bug out. Putting an X on a sheet of paper is a lot easier and bug free.

  42. I don’t know a lot, but I know this… Havelock, NC is the adjacent civilian town to Cherry Point, what was once, and may still be, the largest Marine Corps air base in the United States, and maybe the world, now that DaNang is no longer used… Once again, it appears that the military may be disenfranchised due to voting errors.

I lived in Havelock, in Craven County.

  43. How else did Alan Greene win the Dem primary? He was so unknown even the ‘Black’ vote didn’t know he was black.
Nobodies never heard of don’t get 65% of the vote, no matter what.
The Dems admitted computerized voting machines tried to blame the GOP.
Alan Greene was a test of the rigged system.
Even the grocery store computers give customer receipts, but these voting machines don’t. The peple who ordered them didn’t want a paper trail.

  44. We’ll see and I hope I’m wrong, but the dems are far to comfortable with close races. My impression is that Harry Reid knows he is going to win because the votes are fixed, or at least enough are that a close election where he loses becomes one that he wins. What will happen when people realize their vote doesn’t count. My son is going through a lesson on the American Revolution and what came before it, the Sons of Liberty, the tax laws, the illegals search laws, etc.

In a sense, we are visiting similar times. Our Tea Party is basically the same as the Sons of Liberty group in the 1760′s and have much the same complaints.
