Sarah Palin hammers Runaway RINO Lisa Murkowski today for threatening local radio hosts.
From her Facebook page:

Yesterday, Lisa Murkowski’s hired guns threatened radio host Dan Fagan, and more importantly, the station that airs Fagan’s show, with legal action for allegedly illegal “electioneering.” The station, unlike Murkowski, who is flush with millions of dollars from vested corporate interests, does not have a budget for a legal defense. So it did what any small market station would do when threatened by Beltway lawyers charging $500 to $1000 an hour – they pulled Dan Fagan off the air.

Does all this sound heavy handed? It is. It is an interference with Dan Fagan’s constitutional right to free speech. It is also a shocking indictment against Lisa Murkowski. How low will she go to hold onto power? First, she gets the Division of Elections to change its write-in process – a process that Judge Pfiffner correctly determined had been in place without change for 50 years. She is accepting financial support from federal contractors, an act that is highly questionable and now pending before the FEC. And today, she played her last card. She made it clear that if you disagree with her and encourage others to exercise their civic rights, she’ll take you off the air.

The concept of “electioneering” involves several issues, but typically refers to campaigning at the polls, which is appropriately banned. Under federal law, it can also mean paying for advertising on broadcast media during a federal election cycle, and it requires disclosures if done by groups and corporations. Fagan used satire to mock Murkowski’s write-in efforts and encouraged Alaskans to run as write-in candidates. That is not illegal. That is free speech.

Individuals like Dan Fagan have a fundamental right to speak their minds without threats from the incumbent Senator from Alaska. It is hard to find a constitutional right Americans cherish more than the right to free speech. This was a right Joe Miller, as a decorated combat veteran – a tank commander tested in battle, was willing to die to defend. Dan Fagan has not always agreed with me, but I will gladly defend his right to speak freely on his radio show, which he has often used to criticize me. In fact, Fagan has actually used his radio show to attack and insult me, my husband, my children, and my family in just about every way possible. He was especially insulting to my son, who left for a war zone to defend Fagan’s right to attack our family. But when I was his governor, I never would have dreamed of threatening his right to free speech. I support him in this fight because this D.C. Beltway thuggery, as exemplified by Lisa Murkowski’s latest threat, is ruining our country. The powers that be want ordinary Americans to sit down and shut up and let the ruling class ride us right off the debt cliff we’re heading towards with Obama, Pelosi, and Reid steering the nation’s car. We can’t let them. Now is the time to put aside our past differences and stand up to the establishment powers.

This whole episode confirms again why we need to elect Joe Miller. Lisa, you can sue me if you want (you won’t be the first). But I will not be intimidated from speaking my mind. Your intimidation just empowered us liberty-loving Alaskans. Are you really that out of touch?

  1. Murkowski is a nasty piece of work. Palin is right. That was thuggery plain and simple.
She reminds me more of Obama than someone I would want to see in the Senate.
Maybe she should move to Chicago.

  2. Lisa is just helping us to make the point of useless and lying rinos who need to be cast out as soon as possible. This lady could not be more pathetic if she tried.

  3. A local LA blogger, was just threatened with legal action. And, rather than put up … he shut up. Removing all reference, of any kind, in toto … about the aggrieved party.

Ya kin have my keyboard … when you kin pry eet out ma cold dead fingers.

  4. Murkowski is like a chicken with it’s head cut off, she continues to run around flapping and doesn’t realize that it is over.

  5. the NRSC and the RNC have NOT helped the situation-didn’t the elitist Rs go up to ‘help’ little lisa-
I am ashamed of the ‘insider’ leaders of my party!

    THREE MORE DAYS!

  7. Is this Murkowsky related to that woman who played on the Roseanne Barr show? Her name escapes me,you know the big ugly tall lesbian…Boy! they sure look alike……

  8. Lisa sounds like a Democrat, She need to go.
Democrats hate free speech and is sound this
    Un-American Lisa hates it too.

  9. The ruling classers must be outed, denied elevated positions within, and then purged from the Republican Party. Starting with this guy:

    http://pajamasmedia.com/rogerlsimon/2010/10/29/notes-for-the-day-after-who-is-fred-upton/

  10. That picture of Sarah is awesome’There’s something about a picture of a pretty woman with an assault rifle in her hands, and knowing she knows how to use it…..No picture in any man’s magazine could even compete…..From all my hunting buddies and myself:Sarah we luv ya….

  11. Let’s see, a Senator’s “staff” pressures a media outlet to stop spreading information that is otherwise public about voter activities that are otherwise legal (though arguably mischievous).

It’s hackneyed because it’s true: imagine the fuss if a conservative had done this.

(Well, for one thing a conservative would not have done this, but that’s beside the point.)

  12. But it’s MY Senate seat. Daddy said so. Wahhhhhhhh . . . . .

  13. Who knew that Sara Palin is a classic liberal? You know, the “liberal” that believes in free speech, not shouting people down, not beating people up, not threatening people to shut them up. You know, the “liberal” Ds used to claim to be before they became “progressives”, or more appropriately, fascists. You know, the “liberal” that believes in the Constitution and what it says, as opposed to what an elitist judge thinks it should say. That’s Palin. God bless her.

  14. This wave that is coming should have arrived much earlier .The disentrenchment is going to be a lot harder.

We need a fresh start everywhere, the senate , the house, the courts, all government departments, but first and foremost, the DOJ. EVERYBODY needs to be asked to resign, and then vetted. The STATE department ditto. Some departments need to be abolished starting with energy, education, Hud. We need to get back to only the constitutionally allowed and mandated jobs the federal government is to do. The states need their power to govern themselves back that is mandated in the constitution period.

  15. I hope no one writes that rotter in on the ballot.

  16. Judging from Lisa’s attitude towards those who she thinks are trying to take the “seat she owns”, it seems fair to assume her anger will not subside and she will take her revenge by becoming an ally of Obama if she wins the election.

  17. Lisa Murkowski has the Kennedy disease. She thinks her family business is politics, and that she is entitled to run other people’s lives.

  18. After Tuesday Lisa Murcunski will be history.

  19. I don’t agree what Palin said. It look Lisa Murkowski might win because most of the women in Alaska will vote for her.

  20. I dislike Leeza Mindowsky.

  21. anonymous,
Don’t assume women are going to vote for her because she’s a woman. The left do that. True Americans don’t do it. They vote on character, not gender. Joe Miller is a military hero. She can’t compete with that. I am a woman, and a real American not the leftist, communist variety.

  22. Hey Steele, Morecowshi^ is the very reason the Republican party is having a crises of faith, big tents and little minds have a short shelf life in the age of the internet. Your big tent spoilers will bring the tent down unless the Republican Party gets a clue. Your running on empty and approaching the last station. Lisa and your treatment of Miller may well be the last straw.

  23. After she loooooooses she will cry again and demand another election because it was not fair that people could not spell her name.

  24. Actually Mr. Hoft, I see this in the opposite manner.

I am no Murkowski fan, but I see the poor politics being offered by many, especially Mrs. Palin here.

Sarah Palin shows little leadership again, lowering the bar, turning towards growing enemies without need.

The entire Palin effort vs. Murkowski had a very personal – bitter offering, and I remember all the emails from the Palin Franchise at the time. It was hardly sound Conservative providing a constructive challenge.

Mrs. Palin has the celebrity, and seems to use it again quite poorly here. This is not Reagan leadership or GW Bush’s class. This is rather juvenile of the Palins.

I remember the ugly Tea Party Express emails about Mrs. Murkowski. Sure, I welcomed a more sound challenge, but not in this manner. This was ugly, and only grew the opportunity for Murkowski to have no reason to stay with the Party in this RACE. Murkowski, as an American, has the FREEDOM to do as she wishes. She has a 70% ACU rating, and was actually quite admirable with her opposition to CAP and TRADE taxation. Mrs. Palin JOINED John MCCAIN in a Campaign which pushed Cap and Trade Taxation.

The Palins have shown a rather childish effort again in dealing with this case. The Tea Party Express has not vetted their candidates well, Delaware is a very vivid example of a huge mistake, and even Miller has been revealed to have enormous contradictions – with his abuse of Government resources and his job for his own personal political agenda.

Conservatives used to be about honesty, decency, objectivity, reason. Mr. Hoft is one of the best, this coming from a long – long time reader.

But he is making a mistake here again. Following a fashion which is not productive, constructive, decent, attractive. This is following a very predictable childish – petty political effort, led by the very amateurish Palin Franchise, down a road that simply is not healthy.

Mrs. Murkowski was once on the good side, and like Miller, or Mrs. Palin (who bizarrely gave us all populist tax increases on Oil Companies – raising the cost of living for all), she is politician who is far from perfect. Some like the Palins have turned her into the enemy, which is mistake ONE in the realm of politics. It is a grave warning sign, which is bound to weaken the Conservative cause.

This is just a reminder of a bad idea, and a lack of security. The inability to rise above, is a serious problem. Obama, Clinton, Reid, Pelosi, etc., have all displayed similar egotism, and a failure to ‘move on’.

Right now, Murkowski is making the Palins look terribly poor, and karma can be a learning experience, if you are wise enough.

Remember thinking Mr. Steele should be thrown out so quickly, telling us all how Sarah Palin should be instantly appointed to the RNC Chair? That is an example of the FASHION pulling the cart, not sound conservatism.

    Thank you.

Hoping NOV is a great day for this Nation, and the Democratic Party is severely rebuked – never again to gain this type of power.

  25. The Obamacrats are loving this struggle in Alaska!

In 2012 I’d support a Palin/Rubio ticket. Bet Karl the Tea Party killer Rove would have a stroke since he’s shown this week just how much he hates Palin and other Tea Party candidates, like Christine O’Donnell. His old guard, stuffy, entrenched, beltwayism feathers are ruffled.

  26. Would love to see Palin/Murkowski duke it out in the octagon. My money would be on the grizz.

  27. Oh look, OLD FAN @ #25 is our old friend Brooklyn. Back doing what Brooklyn does best…Bashing Palin.

  28. Walter Cronanty #14. Hi there Walter! It is exactly how I see it from the distance of 20 000 kms, sitting here in Aussie.

I attempt constantly to argue with my American friends to stop use the noble word “Liberal” to describe the communo-fascists that managed to take over the so called “Democratic” Party.

It is exactly how you describe that: Principled but tolerant. This is the very essence of the word “liberal”.

The fact that the American communo-fascists have stolen the word “liberal” and are using it, doesn’t mean that it belongs to them.

The communo-fascists have also stolen another noble word “democracy”.

Was the “German Democratic Republic” realy democratic because the East German communo-fascists have stolen the word “democracy’?

    Of course, not.

It has been neither democratic nor it was a republic.

It was a communo-fascist concentration camp.

As much as my country of origin, Poland was a socialist concentration camp.

If someone steals your car and uses it, does it mean that this car belongs to him?

    Of course not.

We have to fight for and recover the ownership of the wealth produced by us and stolen by communo-fascists with the same ferocity as for the ownership of the WORD that belongs to us.

If we use the word “liberal” to describe the American communo-fascists, we not only insult true liberals like myself but also soften the revolting mask of the communo-fascism thus making it easier to accept.

The communo-fascists understand and appreciate very well the meaning and the power of the WORD. That’s why they are constantly on the prowl to steal it.

P.S: I wish you as big win this weak as possible. I worry about the future of your marvelous contry so much that it takes my sleep away.

  29. And another kind request to my American friends.

Lisa Murkowski is a thoroughly evil individual.

She is a spoiled brat, corrupt and morally bancrupt.

But this is not a REASON to mock and denigrate her name.

After all, her forefathers have immigrated from the country from which STANISLAW PULAWSKI has also come.

PULAWSKI IS A POLISH-AMERICAN HERO WHO HAS GIVEN HIS LIFE FOR THE FREEDOM OF YOUR COUNTRY.

So was KOSCIUSZKO: another noble Polish hero who also fought for America and then returned to Poland to fight for the same ideas that he learned in America.

His name is equally hard to pronounce.

My name is Jodkowski and my name is also hard to spell and yet there isn’t a bigger and more enthusiastic fan of SARAH PALIN and not bigger enemy of LISA MURKOWSKI than myself.

Fight that corrupt, degenerate, trisonous hack Lisa Murkowski but stop mocking her name!

  30. Chisum #28. Kudos to you my friend! That is exactly what I detected immediately upon reading that nonsensical rant produced by “The Old Fan”.

It is the very style applied by our old friend Brooklyn who has that amazing ability to change his skin.

    LIKE AN EVIL CHAMELEON!

Brooklyn, stop changing your skin. It is a time to change your BRAIN and start thinking!

  31. Hello Bogdan – Sorry I didn’t reply earlier – errands to do, “real” football to watch [O-H....].
What’s somewhat amusing about today’s Ds is that they have so besmirched the word “liberal” that they run away from label. They now prefer to be called “progressives”. Given the history of American “progressives” and their tie to eugenics, it’s probably a more apt and descriptive title than they think.
I live and work in a highly Democratic county. But, they are largely the “old” democrats – labor unions predominate [Teamsters, plumbers, electricians, etc., NOT SEIU, although some AFSCME]. When I ask them who their party leaders are, who on the national stage they admire and support, they fall silent. They can’t say Pelosi or Reid. Only the African-Americans mention Obama.
The anti-Americanism exhibited by the “blame America first” crowd now in ascendance within the leadership of the Democratic party, coupled with the Ds’ extraordinarily hypocritical coupling with Wall Street bailouts, leaves the old Ds bewildered, I think. They still vote D, down the line, in local elections. But I think they view their national leaders like I do. I doubt that we’ll ever see the revival of the conservative D, who in many respects was a “classical liberal”, although blind to the path down which their socialist tendencies took them. Now we have, sadly, Ds who are classical fascists — that is, they believe in stringent social and economic control by a strong, centralized government. They’ve substituted a strong belief in nationalism with a belief that is strongly anti-national, but strongly international – throwing their lot in with the UN crowd, which is anything but “classically liberal.” Strange times.
How are things down under? Your polictics seems to be as interesting as ours.

  32. Murkowski is exactly what she seems – a spoiled, self-centered politician, handed an office by her father and than throwing a tantrum when she loses.

Yes, her campaign has lied throughout, sending out material it knows was false. She also has promised everything, anything to unions, corporations, anyone that she can receive an endorsement from.

No – Joe Miller is not perfect and has not run a perfect campaign. He is however far better than Murkowski. He had one error in judgment (taking an on-line poll during his lunch break) that he did not fess up to right away. However, that is nothing compared to Murkowski and her shannigans.

Joe Miller (and many others heading out in this election) are the future. With a $13.666 trillion debt, bailouts, Obamacare, backroom deals & plain and simple lies… let’s hope it is a huge thumping November 2nd!

  33. Oh Bogdan, where I used to work, we celebrated “General Pulaski” Day – we got together, ate kielbasa [we have a large Polish population here - excellent kielbasa], had some good Polish bakery and danced the Polka. Our state declared a “General Pulaski” Day – we have so many “days” that so few know of – I think the politicians name as many “days” as possible to pander to as many ethnic groups as possible.
That being said, I attended a seminar in Savannah, Georgia, and was astonished to find several markers along the river commerating the life and sacrifices of General Pulaski. GOOD MAN!

  34. Sadly Ms. Palin once again shows she doesn’t understand the Bill of Rights which protect us from GOVERNMENT interference with free speech – but do not prevent a radio station – any radio station from taking someone off the air for any reason they like – or for no reason at all. In this case a provate entity (LM for Senate campaign) threatened another private industry (radio station) with legal action. Radio station could respond in several ways – the one THEY CHOSE was to remove the host from the air.

It may be many things, but it isn’t a Bill of Rights issue.
